I had a good experience at Away Spa, and a big part of that is thanks to Lorraine! From the moment I first called to book our appointment, I could tell how sweet and joyful she was. She took the time to schedule everything perfectly, gave us a reminder call, and made sure my group of girls was fully satisfied with our services. Lorraine truly went above and beyond to take care of us, and her professionalism and kindness made our visit even more special. Highly recommend her and the spa

Oh my. What an AMAZING massage. I’ve had a lot of massages over the years and this topped them all. Sadly I’m only visiting Atlanta otherwise I’d come visit Tanisha monthly. Thank you Tanisha!

I ordered service for my girlfriend’s birthday. Paid the actual cost for the resort pass and was told to put a card on file so for security purposes(late fees or cancellations) but it would t not be charged. I did so and was charged multiple times from Bliss Spa equating over $300. After calling and asking why and for a refund, I was given apologies and excuses that did not add up. Lorraine told me it was a system error and Kateesha said there was a security deposit to be paid which makes no sense if the service was already paid in full. I still have not been refunded and not reached out to after the spa stated I would. Very unprofessional and will not recommend to anyone.

My experience at the W spa was beyond amazing! The massage itself was a 10/10 across the board. My husband and I went the weekend prior to Valentines Day and had a couples massage. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. I enjoyed my champagne, breakfast and I made new friends. I told one of the front desk staff that I left my tennis shoes at home and only had heels, she immediately told me I could have some flip flops to wear as a gift which I really appreciated. Thank you KaTeesha, Zyna, Royal, and Lorraine!! I love this spa and will definitely be back. Best massage and service ever!!!

I've been to many spas that were nicer and half the price of this spa. My girlfriend ordered a couple's massage for Valentine's Day. She was going to compare prices but the lady agreed to $189 for couple's massage. My girlfriend called 2x to confirm this. When we went for the massage I had assumed the price had already been set. After the massage, Katisha the manager told me it was $165/person. She basically told me were lying and said they had sent a confirmation email which they didn't. That was double the price! Needless to say, my girlfriend never got a confirmation email and Katisha never followed up with the reason as promised for the mishap. It turned out over $400 for a couple's massage and they automatically included 20% tip regardless of the quality of the service. I've been to way better spas for cheaper the price. I could have gone to a spa which had facials and massage for half the price. The massage was nothing special.

My experience was pretty bad. Everyone there was nice and the facilities were fine but the services…. The things I paid a lot of money for… were awful. The massage wasn’t even a massage. It was almost like she was impersonating a masseuse. It was supposed to be a deep massage but felt more like a frenzied, hurried, all over the place lotion application. She either just graduated massage school and just passed by the skin of her teeth or never really went. Then, the facial wasn’t good either. The steam wasn’t close enough to open my pores so the extraction was painful. There was nothing on my eyes to shield the light. The towels were too hot. …. The music played in the spa wasn’t very soothing. Then they served champagne after your services instead of water. I love champagne but it’s not helpful after a massage to flush out toxins. But since my massage wasn’t really, I downed the champagne to try to dull the fact that I just threw hundreds of dollars down the drain. It was supposed to be my birthday treat to myself. So yeah, save your money and time and avoid this imitation spa.

Prepare yourself for a confusing and disappointing massage experience. On my birthday, I booked a 50-minute massage for a little self-care, only to discover unexpected charges and a massage therapist wearing rubber gloves. If you don't like touching people maybe massage therapy isn't the best occupation for you? I expected the natural smooth glide of hands but instead I received a discomforting squeaky friction for 50 minutes. When I asked the therapist why they wore gloves, their explanation was... for "hygienic" purposes. This left me feeling mildly insulted and questioning their perception of my cleanliness (for a minute anyway ... I'm confident that it wasn't me). This massage was anything but soothing and rejuvenating. If you're looking for a relaxing massage devoid of rubber friction, and truly deserving of the word "therapy"--skip the SPA at the W.

Terrible experience. Will never go back or recommend to anyone. I just finished a 50-min “So Deep” massage. Well “so deep” is beyond laughable when it was nothing more than a 50 min session of having oil rubbed all over me. I could have done that myself and for a lot less money. I paid extra for the “deep” tissue massage so I would hate to know what it would have been like if I had just requested the regular, stress relieving massage. It would have probably been more like a tickling session. Urg. Very disappointed. I was so looking forward to getting the tightness and knots out of neck and shoulders and unfortunately that was barely touched on, even though I told him more than once that area needed to be the focus area and that I could handle a lot more pressure. Did no good and was just a waste of my time and money.

The spa located in the top of the hotel offered very sub-par service. The appearance was very nice to look at and appeared professional, but neither my friend or myself received good service. When I called to lodge a complaint, I was also informed that the 20% gratuity which we were told at the front desk was already added, was optional and presented to us as a requirement. After 4 phone calls I finally spoke with who I have been told is the top manager of the spa and he was extremely rude about refunding a single penny, finally agreeing to only refund the gratuity which would not have been originally included. It has been nearly 3 weeks and the refund still has not arrived.

The Spa @ the W Atlanta Downtown is amazing!!! From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the beautiful Alexandria. She escorted me to the locker room where I was given a robe and slippers. She offered me a champagne while I waited. I got a deep tissue massage by Gary. Hands down the BEST massage I've received. He was very professional. The pressure was great and he did a great job asking if the pressure or stretching was too much. I loved the vibe, they played really good soul and r&b music instead of the typical massage music. Highly recommend.

This place is equivalent to a massage envy or spa sydell. It is not on the level of St. Regis, 4 Seasons etc but the prices are. Most of the lockers were broken, the supplies in the women’s lounge were empty. There was no lotion, no soap and… there were no changing rooms. Who wants to change in a bathroom stall? Secondly, the water tasted awful…for $300 they should have bottled water or at least fresh filtered water. The massage was good but the customer service was severely lacking. After the massage, the therapist disappeared. I had to roam the halls to find my way back to the women’s lounge. Maybe I’m used to a different level of service because this wasn’t it. Normally, they wait for you outside and offer water and guide you back to the lounge. Also, I’ve never had a massage where all of the oil was left on my body. I was a greasy mess when I left. There’s only one shower in the womens lounge. I do not recommended this place if you want a luxurious spa experience. Save your money and go to Spa Sydell or somewhere like that.

This was definitely an amazing experience. Highly recommend! This was the 1st time I truly enjoyed a facial. The esthetician Qierra was very knowledgeable and explained what she was doing as she provided the service. The Spa manager Kateesha was extremely kind. The level of service here was top tier. See you all soon!

No matter how good a deep tissue massage at Bliss might have been, it's very hard to feel relaxed when, after the massage, I discovered the locked door to my locker had been ripped off its hinges, and my wallet had been stolen. Two debit cards, a credit card, $200+ in cash, and $330 in train passes for back home, all gone, along with my sense of security. I will be anything but relaxed for the next several days while I replace many of these things, and change an awful lot of passwords. This was my first trip to a Bliss Spa, and most assuredly my last.

I called a month in advance & made pedicure appointments for me & my mom - "no problem, we've got you down!". I called again a week before to confirm the appointments and nothing was on file - the supervisor at Bliss said they would call back within an hour to let me know if they'd be able to accommodated us. I continued to follow up for 3 days until they finally said I was unfortunately out of luck since no nail techs were available Saturday or Sunday. I'm very disappointed since we are traveling from out of town to celebrate my mom's birthday and this was supposed to be her birthday gift!!! We enjoyed our trip to this spa last year, but this experience has been frustrating and likely won't return.

I unfortunately did not particularly enjoy my experience at Bliss Spa. I got a 49-minute Blissage with a back buff through a Travelzoo deal. I had two issues: 1) Apparently, when I booked my appointment, the individual who did my booking added a hot oil treatment without my knowledge. When I checked in, nobody confirmed the services with me, so I was not aware that I had been signed up for a service that would incur extra charges. Be careful to double check what you've been signed up for if you don't want extra bills to show up when you're checking out... 2) My massage was very mediocre. Prior to the massage, I was asked to fill out a form indicating areas that the masseuse should target. I wrote "Neck/Back." The masseuse did not even touch my neck, and did a perfunctory massage of my back. Why did I even fill out a form if the masseuse was going to ignore it?? Otherwise, the massage was fine, but nothing out of this world. Based on my very meh experience at Bliss, I will not be returning.

My wife got a facial and I got a massage. The staff were all very nice and helpful. There is a steam shower available in the locker room which I highly recommend. We both really enjoyed our experience.
