💯 Kris at reception. Emergency service workers get 25% off admission with 🆔 💯 Saunas and specialty rooms all are very nice, range of temps, types, tactile 💯upstairs has golf, bar, terrace, movie theatre with individual recliners, infrared room, quiet seating area 💯 steam room is super steamy 🧖🏼♀️ 💯 cafe has bingsu and the way they shave the shave ice 🍧 was best ever 🫤 Shower rooms and single gender hot tub - tiles need to be scrubbed, many showers don’t work, dingy feeling like I’d catch a UTI or athletes foot. I DID have spots on my left hip when I went to the co-Ed area - could be from bacteria OR from scrubbing the heck out of my body to remove the dead skin layer ($2 for scrubber at reception) ☹️ A whole group of women went straight from the locker room into the hot tubs without showering: DIRTY! This is not how Korean Jimjilbangs work: YOU MUST SHOWER WITH SOAP before getting into a shared space. There are plenty of workers but they need to be paying attention to what’s going on in the bath area. 📵Again, staff needs to keep a watchful eye. I had to tell a staff 2 girls where in their pajamas, legs in hot tubs AND ON THEIR PHONES IN THE NAKED AREA. How disrespectful to the other guest. 😲 No jjigae (hot soups) offered in the restaurant or boiled eggs which are cult classic Korean food available at jimjilbang

Nice place to relax and immerse yourself into the Korean culture. I recommend visiting disconnecting from your mobile devices and take advantage performing meditation and staying silent. Plus this place has a bar, miniature golf and karaoke. (Extra charges). Overall come with an open mind and enjoy something new.

Firstly, the spa is extremely clean and the front desk employees are amazing. However it does not make up for how LOUD everyone is. If You’re looking for relaxation DO NOT GO HERE. This is more of an “event” setting than relaxation. They do not have many saunas at all, and majority of them are always so packed or there’s a group In there talking LOUDLY. The only good thing was my scrub and maybe the bar. Either way I won’t be back. Wasted my darn money.

As a first timer at a korean spa, I had a pleasant time here. I used the groupon deal and had no issues with checking in. It was not very crowded on a Saturday night, which was a plus. The facilities looked clean and well maintained. Upon arriving, you must take off your shoes so I recommend bringing socks if you do not want to walk barefoot. There were public and private showers in the bathhouse and the women’s locker room had everything you needed for showering. Keep in mind you must be fully nude while in the public baths. The saunas were great and made me sweat. I liked the ochre clay ball room and the Himalayan salt room. I ended my day sleeping in one of the nap pods. This spa very relaxing and comfortable. I will come again soon!

First off the facility is nice and coming into it; it was clean and the hosts were nice. I scheduled me and my fiancé couples massages and scrubs. The massage was good as expected but I had never booked a scrub service before. The scrub service was not as described! One. When you go to shower I asked for soap and they pointed to the bars of soap that were at the top of the shower dividers that they expected me to use. Absolutely not, so I had to go in and wash with shampoo out of a dispenser bottle. Two. The face that the floors are soaking wet from people showering and they don’t offer shower shoes, and me being in the military I know the value of some simple $1 shower shoes. Three. When I looked over into the stalls that do the scrubs I saw them washing off the tables that the customers are supposed to lay on. Not changing the tarp, just pouring water and what looked like soap over it from a big trash can bin they had in the corner. So coming into it I was already uncomfortable and uneasy, on top of the women being in their underwear and bras and boots. When I came into the stall I could still see the other two stalls on both sides because they were just divided by plastic dividers with spaces at the back of them to see through. As the scrub began I smelled a scent that was familiar but I couldn’t put a name on it until she turned me over onto my backside and I saw she was using a bar of soap in a soap dish; specifically Irish Spring! Now I’m not the one to judge, but any woman’s woman knows that Irish spring is not good for the skin especially not the private area and that it can cause irritation. On top of that it is not hygienic to use the same bar of soap for different customers which is what they do! I tried to ask if the scrubbing gloves she used were new but the lady didn’t even speak English. On top of that when I looked over into the next stall, the message lady was naked brushing her teeth!!! Like Oh My God what kinda stuff is this. The whole experience felt disgusting and made me feel nasty like I was in some sort of back alley getting cleaned. Like I said the rest of the facility was nice and clean and the food there was good but the scrub experience was definitely a 0/10! For $110+ to have that plus she lathered me in regular a__ kitchen coconut oil and at the end had a squeeze bottle of regular store bought 2% milk that left my skin with a weird residue was just a topping of the nasty cake! Yeah other than that I enjoyed the many different rooms, but also know that the golf course isn’t even apart of the spa. It is a separate business that you have to pay for separately and bring your own golf clubs which was kind of a let down since everywhere else they promote it as if it is something that you could easily do there.

Love it!

Not much to enjoy, they're "more than you expected," but really just more expensive than you expected.

Terrible experience. I was excited to try this spa place but we left without experiencing anything due to their lack of responsibility. The people at the front desk were sweet except Denise. My husband bought a $315 gift card for us on our anniversary and we had the physical gift card with us. We went there today and they said that our gift card is EMPTY!!! We showed them the bank statement and proved that the amount was paid for months ago. They still couldn’t find it on their system because they changed the system. It is NOT my fault. It’s completely their fault, especially Denise. She didn’t even give my husband any receipt or an email that day. The managers were also not answering or available to talk to us. They asked us to wait until tomorrow. We had to leave with no massage or anything…What a shame!!! I want a refund and definitely won’t be going back because of this bad customer service.

I won some money from the owner playing poker. This place is great though. They got a dope golf simulation and karaoke room if you like showing off your singing skills. Not to mention the outstanding spa rooms. I will come back to use other amenities.

If you’re seeking peace and quiet, I recommend avoiding this spa during holiday weeks or weekends. I visited on New Year’s Eve from 10 AM to 5 PM and encountered several issues. They offer discounted group packages for ten people, which seems to cause overcrowding. Each room is small and can only accommodate a limited number of people, but groups often overstay, making it frustrating for others. For example, I had to wait 45 minutes for the Orcher Ball room because a group of ten friends occupied it, talking loudly the entire time. I also tried the infrared room, but a group of five people talked nonstop for 20 minutes, forcing me to leave in frustration. Additionally, children are allowed in the spa, which I find inappropriate for a space meant to be quiet and relaxing. The presence of noisy children and adults ruined the tranquil atmosphere, leaving me more stressed than when I arrived. Spas should prioritize relaxation and cater to adults, not mix both children and adults in such an environment. Giving discounted tickets for groups of ten should be avoided because all they do is talk loudly and crowd the rooms. This is not a social atmosphere so people shouldn’t be talking in their language in the rooms. Gangham spa doesn’t allow this foolishness. A mother brought three of her children to the archer n clay room. Smh what a mess! Only thing I enjoyed is the 1 hour private massage/scrub! Also the water temperature listed is not quite accurate in the ladies room! I came there to relax not to be stressed by young adults/high school students talking to groups of friends and being on their cell phones. The only room that remained empty was the arctic cold room and clay room everything else was occupied by families, teenagers or groups of Asians. If they stop giving group tickets, allowing children in rooms and post quiet signs in each room it would be a more pleasant place. Also group of 10 pay $400 is wild, just make it a private event since your rooms are small. Groups make too much noise. They will increase price on February 1, 2025 beware this is a noisy place. If you’re looking for peace n quiet time stay away from this place it’s not worth it or go to gangham spa instead their prices haven’t change and it’s quiet n tranquil!!!

It was my first time at a Korean bathhouse. I'm from Philadelphia, PA and was in Houston for the weekend. Kathryn gave me an incredible massage. It was truly therapeutic. 5 stars!!! Request HER!!! She was attentive to my needs. The rooms are regularly cleaned, well maintained, and I love the actual globalized concept of the spa. It is a spacious and well designed. Fully worth the admission fee. It is great for a half or fully day activity, and I'm grateful I got to experience such a well-designed and maintained atmosphere. CONS: Ordered Korean fried chicken and one of the wings was bleeding. I mentioned this to the cashier on my way out. I did not ask for money back or anything (wish I should have), but told them to be mindful to cook it thoroughly. Check in/check out could be smoother. (For example, instructions on where to go for the massage. Literally, check in felt like just me paying, but there was no information). I didn't understand why she was telling me to put my shoes in the locker. She (appeared to be Latina lady) didn't explain there was a separate locker for my other belongings. This created a bunch of necessary confusion. Check out was also strange. Meaning, there are no signs that you could check out by standing beside the receptionist , so my sister and I, as well as a few customers, got in line, and the front desk receptionist turned and checked out another guest who stood by the front (not in line). I casually mentioned this to the person at the front desk and she completely ignored me. As I was in line checking out (waiting for an unnecessary amount of time), I Noticed a Korean looking lady was giving full directions to incoming guests, but the Latina (who had checked me in) wasn't.

The water in the female area pool smelled, pools are very small, the change area was nice and clean. Disappointed in towel service- they are hand towels at best, thin and the size extremely small, when I asked for bigger towels, I was told it’s $2 rental per towel… after you already paid $49. Bring your towels or go somewhere else

This evening at Spa World, I had a rather unpleasant experience with the staff at the front desk. There were three women working, and their reaction to a minor issue really stood out. A new guest, unfamiliar with the spa's rules, accidentally walked through the lobby with their shoes on. Instead of calmly addressing the mistake or offering a polite correction, the staff panicked and started acting flustered. It was clear that they hadn't been trained on how to handle these types of situations professionally. Rather than offering assistance or a simple explanation of the policy, their behavior was unhelpful and dismissive. The lack of communication and patience was frustrating, and it quickly became apparent that the staff members didn't know how to properly handle customer interactions. Their bad attitudes only made matters worse, leaving a bad impression about the level of customer service at Spa World. It was disappointing to experience such a lack of professionalism, especially in a setting that should be focused on relaxation and comfort.

best place to relax

I think it's a little curious and wondering why it's mandatory to be naked in the wet areas a little suspicious about that

We went on a weekend and it’s around $50 per person. There’s some hot water baths in the separate gendered rooms, people will be bathing naked and/or showering. There’s also sauna rooms as well. You have to change into the uniform they give you and head over to the communal area. There’s food and drinks for purchase, plenty of other Susana rooms, napping mats. Upstairs has a food court, golf simulator for pay, more saunas, tv room. Overall it was okay, it had everything a Korea spa usually has but it wasn’t as good as others I’ve been to.

Had a great time relaxing and definitely recommend the deep tissue massage! Normally we go early in the day but this time we went at night which I think was better and barely anyone else was there. Admission is inexpensive and you can stay as long as you like!

I scheduled a body scrub with Park, but the male staff at the front desk mistakenly assigned me to someone else. Paying a lot for a session with a different person was really disappointing. If Park wasn’t available, he should have informed me. Management needs to ensure they confirm appointments correctly, especially with employees who share the same first and last name. Better training and communication are essential to avoid these mistakes in the future.

It was our first time , check-in was hectic , we were given no direction or tour , it was our first time and we were lost. The staff all wear shoes but you are asked to take off your shoes in the lobby which doesn’t feel hygienic given they are bringing in their street shoes through the facility. There’s no sanitation spray for the mats people sweat on. The bathroom is also highly hectic no clothes allowed , not sure how often the tubs are cleaned. There were a few rooms , all interesting and cool but we couldn’t get into some as it was so packed all the time , specially the clay room. All services were booked so book ahead if you want to add a scrub , massage or other. We loved the shaved ice and appreciated the cafeteria , restaurant and even bar which we didn’t visit since it felt weird to drink alcohol when you were there to detox, cleanse etc. i would go back on a slow empty day maybe but never again if its busy

It's funny how the spa is screaming "KOREA!" everywhere you walk. I'm sure it's every drama fan's dream. All humor aside, loved the spa and the amenities. Restaurant was solid!

I’ve been calling this location since yesterday and no one answers the phone. My mom had a spa session for today at 6pm and we were trying to reschedule due to the thunderstorm and tornado watch. No one answers! Yet I see that they tried to charge her card a cancellation fee. The policy says to call their main number to cancel or reschedule, how can you do that if no one answers the phone!

My husband and I visited Spa World for the first time, and we were pleasantly surprised! We got scrubs and a couples massage – the customer service was fantastic. The rooms were lovely, although it got a bit crowded on the weekend with a noisy younger crowd. Despite that, we had an amazing time and can't wait to go back! 🥰💆♂️💆♀️ #SpaWorld #CouplesMassage #Relaxation #WeekendGetaway #SpaDay

Not as good as spa castle but if you’ve never been there, this is the best

Not very clean, two spa not working in the women's area, lots of people on a weekday, could be more decorative in the spa rather than simple washing area, if decoration too much work try putting herds in the water, the water kinda smell a bit. Other than that, not bad, hot sauna is pretty good, love the sleeping area with plug inside, clay bead room, and the salt room.

Staff at the front desk and restaurant need training for Equality & Diversity. This is the first time I’ve experienced this in Houston. It’s our first time here in this Spa. Yet, no one gave us advise and instructions. But the people before and after us, were given detailed instructions. First encounter, “GET A LOCKER AND PUT YOUR SHOES IN!”
