I had a haircut with Dana. She didn't mess up my hair, but she didn't give me the layers I wanted either. It seemed like she was either lazy or had little skill set and didn't want to be honest about it. The trip didn't send me out the door crying, but it was a waste of time and money.

This place is truly out of this world . Preston and Allie are incredible stylists and all-around dope human beings. They always listen to my concerns, never push me to try something I'm unsure about, and always encourage me to have some fun with my hair (whether that's the color, cut, or style). And while they specialize in bright, funky colors, don't be intimidated or feel like you can't go there if that's not your vibe. They still do great work and the salon environment feels like a neighborhood hangout. Everyone is welcome, people know one another, and it's just a warm, friendly environment to spend some time in.

I would give them 5 stars cause the hairstylist was great but I felt it was very expensive for what they did. I paid $340 for this halo in hot pink. I would say you can get same look for less expensive. The staff is very nice and everything great but very expensive.

Hands down one of the best experiences I have had getting my hair cut. Preston was personable and highly skilled! This is a salon where anybody is accepted and the staff truly loves what they do. A rare gem in LA! Get a chop, get your hair dyed, you wont regret it.

I just moved (back) into the area and happily stumbled upon Space Salon which has been such a lifesaver! First of all, the decor in this place is out of this world, definitely super cute with the anime and space aesthetic. The best part of course, are the wonderful and extremely talented hair stylists at this place. I met with Allie for a blowdry before an interview one day and since then I've already booked several appointments. Not only is she super fun, I have never been so happy with a haircut before! She is magical, I can't wait for my next appointment!

Allie did rainbows in my hair! Go see her for your hair coloring needs. Everyone is such a sweet human at this place. I felt comfortable and welcomed as a queer nonbinary person. I have been looking for a great salon for YEARS. So glad to have finally found my go-to place. Thank you!

By far the coolest salon I've been to. Also, Allie is phenomenal at what she does. I like that she walked me through some options and really took the time to understand what I was looking for with my hair. 10/10 highly recommend.

I hate salons, and this is one solidifies why. Thank goodness they're hidden. I had a confirmed appointment at 6:30, and their close time states 9. Get there at 6:30 after having to leave work early....and they are locked, and don't answer calls or knocks. Despite them knowing I was coming for a CONFIRMED appointment. They call me when I'm at my car and about to drive away and cool...I need the cut. I return. Only to have one of two cuts I've actually cried about. Again, CRIED about! I noticed an uneven patch on one side, and she cuts about another whole inch or two off. When I'm growing my hair out from a buzz cut and emphasize... The smallest trim is the most important. She says, well.. Maybe the razor is what I need to make it even. I walked away with an asymmetric hairstyle that I didn't want, and still had to come home and fix. She chopped off so much hair despite me saying, i'm trying to grow it out and want the slightest trim. I had noticed an uneven patch on one side I wanted fixed, and she chopped off a giant chunk. Just on the one side. 😳😳😳 This is why I'm scared of hairdressers. Thank goodness the asymmetrical thing works... 0/10 would not recommend If you want to cry, come to space salon. Regardless of the cut working, I'm going to cry for months to come because my grow out was literally 'cut ' by months. I'm so sad and so angry. But what can you do on a butchered short cut. Continue to grow it out. Don't think about the shave you did for your mom during cancer. Don't think about the fact you're trying to grow it out so you're not reminded of her death. Don't think about how many inches you just lost. Don't think about how sad this haircut actually made you. Move on. Also, if anyone is curious..I had Lin. And just for reference on the photo, my hair was way past my ears. Not exactly a "trim". 😭

I went to Lin for my birthday hair and it was actually my first time ever getting my hair done!! I got a big chop and fashion color and left the colors up to her and it turned out amazing!! Lin knows colors so well and chose colors that really compliment my features and skin tone. My hair feels super healthy and I've gotten so many compliments!! Also everyone there was super sweet especially to my service dog who got to play with Toro the whole time 🐶 the haircut was scary since I had such long hair before but I love all the layers she put into it and how many cute hairstyles I can do now!! I highly recommend coming to the salon, especially to Lin, and Ill definitely be coming back!

I've been going here for years! Ryan's the magical "rainbow hair" Guru! He will make your dream hair come true. He's been coloring my hair for years - and I change colors often, but my hair never felt brittle or damaged at all!! My hair is still healthy soft. He knows what he's doing, straightforward, and definitely a color master! He listens to what you want to achieve and will give pointers on how to take care of your hair. Simple no fuss, colorful hair maintenance. Go book him! Don't regretti the spaghetti ✨

Linda has been my hair guru for at least years... if not more. She is the kindest, most professional, stylist ever. She is wildly creative and has taken my "look" from safe and dull... to bold and beautiful. I arrived with a boring brown pixie cut and I now have a full head of NATURAL platinum dreadlocks that she bleaches and twists to perfection every month. I cannot recommend her and her team highly enough. I would never have been brave enough to become this new version of myself without her tender cheerleading. I am so so so glad I found her. :)

My go-to salon ever since a friend referred me! The care and service I get here is fantastic, and the geeky decor makes me feel right at home. Ryan always knocks it out of the park with making my hair color goals a reality! The color last me months and months, and I’m constantly getting compliments. Definitely give this place a try :)

Ryan did an incredible job on my hair! I needed a refresh and he made it better than imagined. He took great care of me and communicated well throughout the whole appointment about what he was doing and why. The salon has a great vibe and everyone was super nice. Will definitely be going back!

By far my favorite salon experience. Geeky decor, wonderful stylists, and all around an amazing place. Preston in particular is my go to, and Linda is also wonderful. Though honestly, you can't go wrong here! (P.S. if you're a fan of dice and/or D&D, ask them about Prestidigisuds!)
