I have gone to Julie at Speak for over 12 years now for cuts and highlights. She is not only a lovely human being who I enjoy getting to spend time with every visit, but she always does such a good job with my hair! She knows how to turn what I’m wanting into reality and in a way that is manageable and functional for real life. I can’t recommend her and her studio enough! Very chill vibes without being pretentious. I always look forward to booking another visit.

I've been going to Julie for many years now and consider her as family. She has never disappointed me. I have fine hair and usually get a Bob cut, sometimes longer, sometimes shorter.

Amazing dry cut + wash and style. I have very thick hair that has gotten less and less curly over the years. Shelby cut my hair in a way that is flattering and works for my unique texture. She was also willing to wear a mask during my appointment and work around my mask. I'm immunocompromised and have been too scared to get a haircut since the pandemic started, but thanks to their consideration, I ended a 3 year streak of chopping my hair off over my bathroom sink. Highly recommend!

Decided to give this place a try after coming across it on Instagram. Shelby was my stylist and she perfectly captured the look I was going for after showing her a few example photos of what I wanted. She took her time and was communicative and gentle, checking in periodically to make sure I was liking what I saw. I’m not a huge talkative person and sometimes struggle with social anxiety even, but I felt extremely comfortable in Shelby’s kind hands. The vibe of the salon overall was relaxing, calming, and super laid back. I’m in love with my haircut and am even looking forward to my next trim. I found my new salon for sure!

I have curly hair and was anxious about trying someone new after 14 years of 'meh' haircuts from my last place. Shelby was incredibly patient and asked tons of questions to make sure she fully understood what I wanted. I love that she focuses on natural hair and letting hair do it's thing. I can't remember being this happy with my hair and I highly recommend Shelby and Speak!

Julie has been cutting my hair since about 2009 and I can’t imagine going to anyone else. I love how she starts with a dry cut, then washes, adds some additional cuts when wet, and then styles. Her cuts really help my wavy/curly hair fall nicely. The ambiance and style of her studio complement her impeccable styling skills, too. She’s truly the best!

Shelby is the best! My hair is always just what I want and her attention to detail is second to none. Their color lasts and is a very natural look. I also love that they are all natural to keep those harsh chemicals out!

I've never had a dry cut before and Shelby was awesome - she listened to what I wanted, offered some advice, and the cut was affordable. She also did my brows and they came out great! I'd definitely recommend Speak to anyone.

Best haircut I've gotten. I wanted to dye my hair for the first time and I let the ladies there take charge and they did a great job. I have 0 complaints and I'll definitely go back next time I need a cut and dye job.

I absolutely love this place! It is a wholey unique place with a taste of yesteryear and a complete mastery of modern styles. Shelby and Julie are amazing and very knowledgeable. I have wavy/curly hair and prefer to keep it short, and it is tough to find a place that accommodates a mix of the two. Shebly, however, knows how to blend the two perfectly. She was able to give my hair an amazing shape and style that greatly works with my hair type; it is a hybrid of a pixie cut and an undercut.

Julie is so sweet and does such a nice job with my hair. Whether it is curly or straight it looks great! Shelby cuts my husbands hair and his haircuts look so nice! In fact, they both did our hair the week before our wedding. The salon has a charming aesthetic with easy parking. I look forward to getting my hair cut regularly 💇🏻 Thanks ❤️
