I wish I’d seen and heeded the Mint Properties review below! Johnny used thinning shears on the back of my hair so aggressively that he took out all the volume and cut the top layer so short that it won’t fit into a ponytail — the cut has bad mullet vibes. Beware.

Z is my hair angel...!! I had a really really terrible experience at another salon in Brooklyn. I was so unhappy with the results of my appointment, so I reached out to Sphere Salon to help perform a correction. Z was so understanding and kind, and she fit me in her busy schedule to make sure my hair was fixed as soon as possible. Z was able to color correct a ***really messed up blonde situation***! She is meticulous and detail-oriented, and I am SO happy with the results. I will not be going anywhere else in NYC--I only trust my hair in Z's hands now! (:

Absolutely love this Salon!! Both Z and Johnny are incredibly nice and passionate about their work. Z is an amazing colorist and Johnny never fails to make my haircut amazing!! Would highly recommend this Salon!!

Average cut, okay experience and overpriced. Told on phone haircut will range from $75-175 (kinda big range), even after describing I had medium length, fine hair and not lots of volume (hair has fallen out a lot after having kids). Not offered water or a drink despite a hot day, and no products were used when blow drying my hair straight. Cut ended up thinning out my hair even more, as too much was cut on the sides to make a face frame. Looks worse with even less volume. Salon not that nice, and for the same money, I’d rather go to Fox & Jane with a nicer vibe and experience. Cut was $120, $25 in tip, so for about $150 I’d go elsewhere.

I had a great experience overall and my hairstylists Johnny and Z, both absolutely amazing (highly recommend)! I am so incredibly happy with how my balayage turned out and feel like a new person. She was so detailed with everything she did. Thank you for making me look beautiful and feel fantastic! The salon is spotless and organized. All of the staff were friendly and kind. They play good calming music and offers all sorts of tea. I will be back soon.

I had my blonde done by Z and the experience was incredible. She was welcoming and did an incredible job with my hair. I found Sphere originally on Instagram, but after seeing their Yelp page knew I had to book an appointment. I would definitely recommend this salon for your next appointment!! A little pricey but I would save a few meals for this!

I just moved to the neighborhood and wanted to try Sphere Hair salon but they are booked and I ended trying another place nearby which i hated. I then make an appointment at Sphere to fix my awful color from another salon. They are by far, the BEST in the business. I was immediately greeted with a very warm welcome from the receptionist. I really enjoyed the vibe of the salon. The entire staff was friendly and very professional/attentive with their job. My stylist was very nice and had a great personality. She is definitely a perfectionist and detailed oriented person. I was also extremely impressed with My hair cut. He was patience and very meticulous with his style of cutting hair. He's a true master of his craft. He gave me the best hair cut I've ever had. I highly recommend this salon and I will definitely return again in the future.

I love getting formaldehyde free Keratin here because they last for months. I’ve gone to Jason and Johnny. They always been phenomenal. Highly recommend!

I've been going to the same hair dresser my mom went since I was little and thought I'd try something new. I'm very specific and nervous when it comes to haircuts and coloring however I couldn't have felt more comfortable at this salon. I saw Johnny and Z. She was incredible. She explained everything to me and walked me through every step she was going to take. I am naturally dirty blonde and had balayage put in and my hair has never felt or looked better. Not only did she do a beautiful job but she was so friendly. If you are looking to get your color done with Z, do it. She is extremely talented!!!!! Johnny gave me a beautiful hair cut and blowout!!!! THANK YOU SPHERE HAIR SALON:))) I'm in love with my new hair.

Johnny is an extremely talented and skilled hair stylist! He knows exactly what to do with my hair without me having to tell him! Tze is lovely and does an incredibly thorough wash, and has transformed my hair care routine. They both are highly skilled—this is my new go to spot!

They transformed my hair from brass to class! Thank you so much for achieving my desire color in one sitting. Especially it’s color correction, removing red to achieving blonde. I love it. Very gentle on my already damaged hair. It was 7.5 hours but completely worth it. I will definitely be back! Highly recommend and I tipped her 40% of total cost because I value them staying overtime for me. Thats how much i am happy with the outcome of my hair.

I honestly can’t say enough good about my experience at Sphere!! No kidding, I’ve showed the EXACT same photos to at least 5 salons over time now, and even going back to get color corrected nobody has been able to get my red spot-on... until Sphere!!!! They absolutely nailed it after only a short conversation, and my cut is spectacular, too! Jonny cut exactly the length I wanted and did a fantastic job cleaning up a lot of bad growth after a previous bad cut. The salon is also spotless and they take great Covid precautions. Don’t think about it, book now!!

Stylist is 5stars. Otherwise- Suuuuuuper expensive - ended up spending 700$ for a non-formaldehyde keratin treatment with trim (includes tip) - but did last for 4 mths. Also beware - the air circulation in that place is not good for keratin treatments and dangerous if u have any lung conditions - other places i’ve been to have a reverse-fan that can suck the toxic chemicals but here there was a small fan- barely any circulation- my eyes and lungs burned with a flimsy mask - we had to stop several times because it was too much - not my experience elsewhere . For that price would expect better facilities .

Absolutely Lovely staffs and balayage is exactly what I was hoping for! The best NATURAL LOOKING BLONDE I've had in New York since I moved here 5 years ago. I also got a haircut which leave my hair super easy to manage and growing in nicely. I have tried Johnny in the past but he is always booked and I saw Brittany this time! They are both really good and know what they are doing exactly! Can’t wait to go back for my touch-up! Best color, Best Haircut and relaxing head wash !

Can't say enough good things about this place. A very small but clean salon. Sphere is definitely a GEM! I have been a regular for about 18 months and Johnny is the best men's stylist in the area. Each cut given was on point. I have gotten more than 10 different hair styles and I've loved all of them! What more can you ask if your stylist is fun, stylish and have more than 15years of experience (he also has slick looking scissors)! Plus point, all the staff is super friendly and so helpful. It's top notch service. Johnny is the best in my opinion. Definitely worth a try.

For many times here in Sphere, I received great blonde highlights, haircut, blowout and fantastic service from Johnny and staffs. His work is very consistent and he never failed to put a smile on my face each time. He is absolutely excellent. I would rate 10 out of 5 if I could !

Have gotten many keratins in 3years and with sphere, is by far the BEST I've ever gotten! Tried their formaldehyde-free keratin and it literally last me exactly 6months now (except my roots/new growth). Not only the Keratin treatment is amazing, the haircut leaves my hair looking very chic and healthy. The staffs are extremely friendly and i love the small salon ambience. Highly recommend!

I love Sphere! Johnny is the best hair stylist, he creates exactly what you ask for in such a beautiful , natural way. He is one of the most skilled colorists I have ever been to and have been coloring my hair for 2 years now. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming and everyone who works there is nicer than the next. Warmly recommended

Had a really great time in the store today. They gives awesome hair cut just like the way you ask for it. The store have great atmosphere, the store is really clean. The staff in there is really nice to the customers. They talks to you very friendly and with the great smile. I wanna go back to the store again.
