My toddler daughter has really curly hair and so I wanted someone who came recommended as a curly hair stylist and Esther did not disappoint! My daughters curls are laying so nicely and her hair feels so much better now that a lot of the baby hair was cut off. Esther was so patient and could handle the wiggles easily that came with cutting my toddlers hair.

Esther always does the BEST job with my cut and color! All of my friends have started going to her and could not say enough nice things. She is so sweet and kills it every time. I couldn’t recommend her more.

Esther is amazing. She has an eye for color and style that are crisp, clean, flattering, and stylish: went to a wedding in LA and got asked how I got some glamorous “movie star” hair — and the answer was: Spice Salon in Charlottesville! So glad I found Esther. A good human and a fantastic professional!!

Ester is amazing at what she does. As a hair stylist myself I have always been so picky about my hair. She gave me exactly what I asked while protecting my hair from harsh damage. She also fixed a bad hair cut I received and now I have style again. I will 100% be back there. Ester is my stylist for life now.

I got extensions from here. The first time I got them in some came out before I even did the initial wash. No pulling or anything done yet. More came out after the wash. She blamed the extensions saying they were faulty. She did put them back in for free but more fell out after that. She was supposed to order new ones to replace the ones that kept falling out but they never came in. I had another appointment where she rebonded and put them in again. These lasted a little longer before starting to fall out. She then started blaming me even though she never ordered the new ones and replaced any of them saying she never had this problem with anyone else. Money wasted. She wanted me to come back in and spend more money to fix the problem instead of giving me my money back for extensions that consistently fell out. Update: resolution provided were clip ins that was cheaper than what I paid and for her to take out my extensions herself. One I would never let her touch my head again and two it came to light that she knew The hair was falling out by the root and didn’t say anything and continued to book another appointment. The only reason she said anything was because I left a bad review. First it was faulty manufacturing of the extensions. Then when she didn’t get them in like promised she said it was tension from the hair itself and then tension from me caring for it. Convenient and now she’s not liable for anything. I followed every instruction she gave me. Don’t go here In repsonse: she said she would give me aftercare instructions and did not do so until after I asked multiple times. I followed every instruction due to the amount I paid. She did not tell me at ANY point in time that my hair was coming out by the root. If this does not scare you from going here, then I don’t know what else to tell you. She then still scheduled me without telling me. Even if she didn’t know until the last appointment which I’m very skeptical about, she still scheduled for another appointment without saying anything. You’re a horrible person. My hair is coming out by the root and instead of telling me, you’d rather make more money. I tip extensions were not put in my hair at all. So that’s a lie. And I told you the after the first appointment the day after that they were coming out. After the second appointment, it was not 8 weeks. Please stop lying to these people. You can pay for new extensions but not give me my money back or reimburse me for getting removal…like what??

Esther has done my hair now a few times and every time has been amazing! She takes the time to listen to what it is that I want, and has done wonders to support my hair’s curl pattern. She is great with full foils/balayage. She’s super fun to chat with during the appointment as well, and makes you feel welcomed - like you’ve been long time friends!! Not to mention, the space is super cute, too!

Esther is a wonderful colorist and hairstylist. She has transformed my one dimensional dark hair into a beautiful color. She’s incredibly kind, efficient and listens/executes your hair vision! Her salon space is also beautiful and relaxing! Highly recommend her services :)
