Best place for curly haircuts! I consistently have my favorite haircuts here!! Nicole has also helped me find ways to style my curls with reasonably priced and natural-based products. The only place I'll go!

Amazing! As a curly girl with salon trust issues, I am so grateful to have found Nicole!!! She is so thorough and answered all my questions, as well as talked through styling and products in our consultation. Along with a light fresh cut, I have so much more confidence and happiness in my curls now!!! Thank you, will be returning :)

I wasn't able to get a cut from Nicole. This morning at 8:15 am I booked an appointment last minute through the website. I have never been here before. I get myself together and drive over an hour to the location for my 10:00 am appointment. At 9:39 am I receive a call from Nicole that she won't be able to do my haircut this morning. She didn't see my booking and wasn't planning on coming in to her shop until noon today. She offer to reschedule with me next week, but the day wasn't going to work for me. She mentioned that she lived pretty far from her shop and would still have to get ready and everything before coming in, if she was going to make our appointment. As a first time client this didn't sit right with me. She was really nice about it on the phone and refunded my $75 for holding the appointment. I appreciated the phone call, but I was already sitting in my car outside. I think the booking service she uses has an option to confirm appointments on her side before they are set in stone. But I received an email saying my appointment was reserved at 8:15 am. Instead I didn't get my haircut today and now will probably have to wait several days for my refund. She mentioned that she probably will add no last minute bookings to her website. I hope she does because it really made me feel undervalued as a customer and like my time was less important than hers after our short interaction. If I was her, I would've called saying I'm running a little late or something of that nature. Or offered to do the clients haircut for free any day that would work for the client. She could've had a new returning client today. Unfortunately we won't get a chance to meet because I thought the whole interaction was really unprofessional and unpleasant. First impressions are everything.

I’ve been seeing Nicole for well over a decade. She’s been patient with me over the years never forcing me to go curly but always encouraged. Now that I have, I’m so HAPPY!! She’s not just a brilliant curl specialist but also a very dear friend, one of my greatest confidantes. Looking forward to many more years of good hair and belly laughs.

BEST PLACE EVER! If you have curly hair, this is the place to go! You will learn how to style your hair for its best look and get the BEST haircut you have EVER had for your curls! Also, coloring and highlighting are spot on! First time in all my years that I have left a stylist and do not redo my hair right away, hide it, or am embarrassed by it. Plus, it is a nice, calm, peaceful atmosphere!

I chopped off my hair to donate to Wigs for Kids, and Nicole gave me the exact haircut I was hoping for! I’ve been preparing to donate my hair for the last two years after five years of growing it out, and she made it a joyful experience and gave me a haircut that makes me feel chic and beautiful. :) Update, 1.5 years later: Just updating my review to say that Nicole continues to cut my hair exactly the way I want it every time! Adding pictures of the most recent cut. :)

1st Curly Girl Haircut!!! I love it! Nichole did a great job and really took her time getting to understand what I want. She helped me to find the curls where I had them. I may never go back to a traditional cut and Spiral Evolution is my new go to!

Nicoles work on my hair was immaculate! Cannot express how satisfied I left from her shop. I am more of a wavy girl in the process of transitioning to my natural curly hair it’s definitely a journey. But Nicole totally helped me get one step closer!! She is amazing at what she does right away makes you feel comfortable and listened to. I loved going to Nicole. I used to drive from Denver just for her cuts. She is easy to talk to, has fair prices and is great at cutting curls. I also love the salon. It’s so comfy like walking into a cool friend’s home. I’ve since moved and still haven’t found anyone that comes close to her 🥲

Best curly haircut I've had! It was worth the initial investment when followup trims are less per visit and the experience/training gets me a cut that helps me love my curls again.

I just went to Spiral Evolution for the first time and I left there feeling happier than ever!! She nailed the cut I had asked for and was such a friendly and fun person to talk to. I am definitely coming back and can’t wait for my next cut!

Nicole is a MAGICIAN with curly hair! She talks you through any problems you have and offers suggestions. She takes your reference photos and makes the hair cut look better on you than the photo!

I have always had a hard time finding hairstylists that are right for me but Nicole has never failed to disappoint. I never feel uncomfortable asking for exactly what I want and always end up loving my hair after my appointment. Her salon is absolutely lovely and I love how comfortable and personal it is. Nicole is definitely one of my favorite curly hair stylists!

I would highly recommend! I'm mixed race with fine hair and 3B type curls. I just moved back to COS and was honestly dreading having to find a new curly hair stylist because I had one in my last city that I loved so much. I have been through a lot of questionable and downright awful hair situations with stylists in that past who claim to be comfortable with curly hair but who really have no clue what they're doing. Nicole was fantastic! The first appointment costs more but I felt like it was worth it because of the time she spent with me for the consultation before she worked on my hair to learn about where I was in my curl journey (i.e. how much I already knew), what my care routine was and what kind of products I used, and what I was looking for in a haircut. Even though I feel like I know a decent bit about taking care of my hair, I still had questions and she was wonderful about answering them and giving me advice specific to me (like the type of products I should use for my hair considering the fineness and density). She was also careful to mention that everyone's curls are different, but I know that part of this first appointment was her getting to know my curls. She gave me the exact haircut I asked for and with the length that I expected. My hair feels so healthy, light, and bouncy, my curls are poppin', and I love my bangs. Also, I really like the products that she used, and I also like how accessible they are. Nothing super expensive, and the curl gel she used on me that I really liked she sells in her salon for less than I found on Amazon. This is getting so long, but bear with me. Lastly, her salon is adorable. It's in an old, converted home downtown, and has fun, artsy decorations. If you're looking for a sterile corporate-feeling salon or a super fancy boutique then this isn't for you, but if a cozy space with some comfortably-eccentric decor sounds good to you, I'd recommend that you give this salon a chance. You made it to the end! In summary- I had an enjoyable first experience. The space is cute, Nicole was really friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. My hair looks great and is exactly what I wanted. I'm looking forward to my next appointment!

Love, love, love everything about Spiral Evolution! I have been going to Nicole for over 10 years and every cut has left me feeling great! She is the only person I trust to cut my son’s curls! Her ability to tame curls is outstanding! The old house in which she has her salon is adorable and the art work she has set up inside is awesome! She is a fantastic artist was well! Nicole is absolutely amazing!!! I would give her 10 stars if I could!! I relocated to Texas and miss her greatly. I can't find anyone here that can make my hair look amazing like she did. My curls and I miss her very much!!!

So the lady was nice and down to earth for sure, but I was there just over an hour and it was 130$ charge...not my style. The little house is super cute, but not very salon ish in my opinion. The wash was not relaxing or stress relieving like I've had at other expensive places and I was really hoping to learn some good tips from her. Oh, and when she was done, my curls had no volume at all and I have a ton of volume. I did do a lot of research before but her answer was mostly "everyone is different, so you have to see what works for your curls." I get that's true, but I'm not going to continue to pay 130+ dollars an hour for someone to tell me that when I don't feel less stress when I leave.

My wife found Spiral Evolution through a personal recommendation from a good friend of ours. We booked an appointment for our 3 year old daughter for her first haircut. It was such a warm and inviting space! Nicole was playful and fun while also making our daughter feel safe. We learned great tips and tricks to help our daughter love her hair. Nicole is a wealth of knowledge and she makes caring for beautiful curly hair totally accessible. Nicole was wonderful with my daughter who has naturally curly hair! This was our first time in and we were nervous because my daughter has a tender head but Nicole was very gentle and great with her. She showed us how to care for her hair and keep her curls looking their best. She is super sweet too!

Nicole was wonderful! She really brought out my waves and added layers where needed. She taught me techniques that really helped reduce frizz. She sent me home with a sample of the gel she used. I was able to refresh my hair with good results , which I’ve never been able to do before. She sat down across from me and truly listened to what I wanted and where I was having troubles. My best haircut ever!!

This was my first curly hair cut ever! Nicole did a fabulous job on going through my current curl routine and gave me recommendations based on my hair type. I have always wanted bangs or as Nicole calls it “a shag” and was bit apprehensive on how it will look on me. As you can clearly see, she crushed it!!! If you are thinking of getting a curly hair cut, Nicole is the BEST person for it. My experience with her can be described as Ray of sunshine and happiness. 🤗

Nicole at Spiral Evolution is awesome! She is a curl specialist, a hard to find expertise, and an artist. She does a great job on all types of hair, taking the time to get it just right. She's a wonderfully kind person, too, with a great sense of humor, so I always enjoy my time there. This salon is usually booked up in advance, so appointments are the only way to get in. Thankfully, there's a second stylist there now, Caitlyn. She's also an excellent curl specialist. Book appointments through an app called Vagaro.

Today I had the pleasure of working with Caitlyn. I cannot express how amazing and knowledgeable she is!! I am 26 years old and have gone through NUMEROUS hairstylists that claim they know how to work with curls and they never do. the first thing that made me happy was that the ladies that work there had curly hair! she gave me EXACTLY what I asked for and ontop of that she taught me how to manage and style my curls. I have kept my hair in a bun my entire life because I have no idea how to style or help my curls. when I came in today, my curls were straight and lifeless. they were immediately brought back to life. I have never felt as pretty as I did today walking out of spiral evolution. I cried in my car today because of how amazing I looked and how pretty I felt. I've always felt awkward getting my hair cut because hair stylists don't know how to talk to their customers and don't talk at all. She was talkative with me with just the right amount of conversation. I will never go anywhere else for my hair cuts.
