I was only in San Diego for a few days. Was having some hair problems. They took great care of me. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable and even help me pick out products for my hair that are better for my hair type.

I visited Split Ends for the first time this weekend and it did NOT disappoint. Cyndi, Florence, and Molly (who cut and colored my hair) are all very kind and helpful! It’s been over six years since I got my hair done, so I was a little bit nervous, but Molly listened to exactly what I wanted and performed literal magic on my head. My hair looks amazing! I’ll definitely be back :)

I’ve been coming to Split Ends for over a year and have had a fantastic experience, really with everything I’ve had done here. I’m a 25 year old guy, and coming in had no idea how to grow my curly hair out without it looking like a mess. The Split Ends team has gone above and beyond with answering questions, recommending haircuts, and letting me test out different products, and figure out my style. Now I constantly get compliments on my hair and I have the team to thank. They’ve been a great resource for skin care products and eyebrow waxing as well, and just overall I have gotten the value for my money time and again in the frequent complements I receive on their handiwork. Easy 5 stars.

This was my first time at Split Ends Aveda! I had a wonderful experience, everyone was so friendly and it felt very homey! I loved the way my hair turned out. I have longer hair and I LOVED that Cyndi only took off my dead ends and did not carried away like a lot of stylist do. I appreciated that she not only cares about a wonderful result but that she cares about the health of your hair. I got a full foil of lowlights and she explained the color process so that I knew what to expect. I felt like the pricing was very fair and they also have a very nice selection of Aveda products to purchase! I will defiantly be back :)

Came here after I noticed well done highlights on a friend's hair. She told me wonders about Cyndi and Split Ends Salon so I booked an appointment that week. Cyndi is right up my alley! A very experienced coiffeur, she had a great read on my type of hair on its dire condition and started to work her magic right away. I spent a good 4 to 5 hours in the salon and the results shows! Since then, like Cyndi warned me, I keep on receiving compliment on the quality of my highlights and the color. I would give 4.5 stars if it was an option, because the final $ was a bit higher than I expected spending (including the little discount for referral) and I felt a little pushed to buy products when cashing out. However Cyndi is a great business woman with really high skills, so I am trusting the recommendations on the products are to my final benefit to not end up like the photo on the left once again, and the price is what it is. I loved my interaction and chats with Cyndi, I am absolutely pleased with my cut and color, and Aveda is a really high quality brand with incredibly lovely natural scents. I am going back in just a few weeks and I am looking forward to bump up my review to 5 stars.

Cyndi was so kind to work my sister and me in for some badly needed cuts. She is a real pro with short styles! It can be so hard to find a good stylist for short hair. We had a superb experience at Split Ends and highly recommend it!

I had given 5 Stars a year ago, but having gone exclusively here for a year now, I’ve changed my mind. The color is still okay, but the hair cuts have ruined my hair. The thinning shears she uses has left me with frayed ends and hair that never grows out. Cindi is pushy with additional treatments and not transparent with the prices. They hand write prices on scratch paper and secretly hand it to the receptionist. In the end its $200 for partial highlights and a trim that looks terrible. Plus, the last highlights I had left my roots darker than the rest of my hair. Now that my hair is totally thinned out and has split ends half way up from the last year of bad haircuts, I will be finding a new place. Antonette gave me a good haircut once, but she’s gone now. ✌️

Cindy spent 3 minutes on my haircut and it looks horrible. She did not blend in the layers, she just chopped 2 sections at different lengths. I could have had a better haircut at supercuts. I will never go back to her.

I came in for color and a cut and brought a photo of what I wanted. Cindi nailed it! She is amazing with color. I will definitely be going back. Cindi and her staff are all extremely nice and attentive, and they don't try to sell you a bunch of products which is refreshing.

I had my hair done yesterday and it came out too light and brassy for me. Cyndi did a fabulous job. She made my base color darker and ran low lights through my hair. I got a complimentary neck and scalp massage, hand massage, and quick cleansing facial with peppermint infused hot towels. Will definitely go back.
