This is hands down the best place for a haircut. They specialize in dry cutting, and after seeing how healthy my hair looks, I can’t imagine getting it cut any other way. Allen is exceptional—so kind and talented!

I came here after getting my hair over bleached and over processed earlier this week at a different salon and Naomi fixed everything absolutely perfectly!!!!! She is so amazing at what she does and is so sweet, highly recommend this place and her!

Went here for the first time on a gamble for a haircut and I am SO happy with what I got! Alyssa is amazing, she gave me exactly what I wanted! Love the large space. Will definitely go back for her!

Dustin Hollbrook is a rising star at Sopke & Weal. I'm very happy to say he cut my hair today. I scrutinized a picture of my hair & brought in some pictures of cuts that I thought might suit me. I was hoping for an artistic & collaborative stylist & Dustin really delivered. As soon as I saw Dustin, I felt like I was in good hands. He has a quietly original look, that flatters him perfectly. He listens closely. He's calm, kind, creative & precise. Dustin gave me a cut that's perfect for my hair texture, features & kooky, minimalist style. It's a very clean, precise long blunt cut, with the very front perfectly angled. It moves perfectly. When I saw the improvement, I just said WOW. The salon is a calm, clean, organized, sunlit space, & the people working there have warm, pleasant, win/win, dedicated dispositions. I'm very grateful to have found Dustin Hollbrook. Now I know where to get the best cut.

I am just visiting LA and was very worried about how to get my black roots to blond. And I found this salon from the reviews and stars on Google Maps. I should say Nick made my hair perceft. It didn't burn or break, he knows what he does as a colorist and he is so kind. Definetely suggesting you to try for blond hairs 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Kudos to Nick for my dimensional highlights! I've been delaying getting my hair corrected because of previous botched sessions from other salons. I appreciate how he lifted thinner sections of my hair without making me more blonde overall. Since I'm growing out my bangs, he erred on the side of caution with not coloring them before seeing how they'd blend with the rest of my hair. Happy to have found a colorist I can trust.

A stylist who listened to me! Over the past year I tried two other stylists outside of Spoke and Weal and they would not do what I asked (bangs). They would talk me out of it and then I'd leave looking the same and not happy. When I went to Spoke and Weal and found Allen Katzenbach - he listened and did exactly what I asked and I LOVE IT! Finally I found a stylist I'll continue to return to. Also, he is so personable and loves what he does.

Dustin was great. Very very detailed. He only used scissors (vs the quick easy way with clippers) and he took his time. Well.worth it. 5 stars. Great guy.

I love Leigh as a colorist! See her for color & experience how science meets art. I initially saw her with old color and confusion about what is best for my hair, and Leigh listened and took great care with explaining why my hair looked and felt how it did, and how to really manifest what I imagined. She is a genius! My hair also feels healthier after seeing her, and natural, yet colored -- thank you Leigh! I also recommend you gift a friend a trip to see Leigh, they will have the best experience with her.

I'd never colored my hair before, but wanted to change things up and was so glad I came across Lee Gerson at Spoke & Weal! Lee was able to take my idea of going platinum blonde and enhance it in a way I would never have expected by adding pink highlights. The pink fades and evolves into a beautiful, natural blonde color that I couldn't love more. Can't recommend Lee higher, it's a true art form and she nails it every time.

Lee is theee absolute best for color! I’ve seen her twice this year and she never disappoints. I’m not super picky, but appreciate how much attention to detail she gives and education around coloring. She is very thorough to make sure you get the exact result you want! I get allllll the compliments on my color! Go see Lee and get your color done right :)

On a recent trip to LA I booked an appointment to have my hair dyed with Lee. From the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out Lee made me feel at home and safe in her talented hands. I wanted to get a nice light pink hair for an event and she went in the back an mixed up the perfect formula to give me exactly what I wanted. I left happy and more so the compliments didn’t stop from friends to strangers. Lee is honestly a magician and someone that you can talk with a she will understand exactly what your looking for. My hair is official hers to do as she wants with now as I know it will always turn out beyond my expectations. I highly recommend her and her talent. Thank you Lee, again and again.

Dung is my stylist, he’s easy to talk to, and his haircuts are excellent! Took a while for me to find a good stylist in LA and he knows exactly what he’s doing. I always recommend my friends to him if they’re looking! 10/10
