Arhiell did an amazing job! She cut my hair from super long to pixie and I couldn’t be happier with how she treated me and the outcome of my haircut. She was super gentle and made sure to avoid my piercings. I was so relaxed throughout the whole appointment. Her demeanor is so friendly, calm and professional. She listened to my requests and checked in with me to make sure I was happy throughout the appointment. She definitely is super talented not only at cutting hair but also at making her guests feel super comfortable and happy! Thank you so much Arhiell. The salon itself is also super clean and comfortable, the other staff are friendly, too.

Great Salon! Everyone is really nice and welcoming. It's really hard to find a stylist who takes good care of your hair. I really appreciate Courtlyn for doing my hair! She is awesome. I initially had blonde hair, but decided on going black (back to my natural hair color) and I am more than happy with the outcome. Everything blended well and so happy with the color. Thank you!

I feel so lucky to have found Madison after moving to Texas 1.5 years ago!! I ask for slightly different things every time I go to her, half the time trying to stretch my hair and budget as much as possible, and half the time to change things up. I’ve seen her probably 5-7 times total (no idea to be honest) but she always kills it, whether it’s a cut or color. Top 3 things I appreciate about Madison that keeps me coming back- 1. She slays highlights!! Coming from a rural area where highlights are thick and chunky, I deeeeply appreciate the time and effort she takes to make highlights, natural looking, thin, and dimensional. 2. She’s honest!! She didn’t know I moved within Austin, but could tell something was different. She very gently let me know my hair was looking green and I had no idea! She explained hard water can do funky things to your hair depending on where you live, and gave me the knowledge and tools to keep it from turning green. 3. She makes me feel very seen and taken care of. I get highlights to hide greys, and often have to choose between a cut and color because I can’t afford both. There was a time where I had booked a full highlight, and she was honest letting me know I could get away with another couple months of a partial without messing up my whole situation, and helped me figure out what we could do within my budget to keep things lookin good. It’s been 2 months and I am still unhappy with my cut. The stylist said she would do a dry cut, which I was fine with as I’ve had that done before elsewhere, and a dry cut isn’t unheard of. She took my hair out if it’s bun, separated it, dents, unevenness and all and chopped one side. I thought ok, this is odd they’re not going to be even because I have dents and it’s not even laying evenly. She continued to cut the other side. At this point, there wasn’t anything I could do, the damage was done. She styled it and it surprisingly it looked good. I left got in my car and felt my hair and could tell it was not cut evenly. One side felt thicker than the other. Went to grab some coffee and my boyfriend sat across me and told me it was crooked. I knew it! I freaking knew it! I called back and not even 10 minutes later I was back in her chair and gave her the opportunity to even it out. It looks ok because I keep telling myself that to make myself feel better. It lays horribly, looks nothing like the picture I provided. The cut I asked for was a simple one too. I previously had gone to her a month prior for a bang cut and to get to see her work as I was new to the city and looking for a new stylist. She cut them but I had to tell her “well can you cut the side so they blend in .” This is basic knowledge! I showed her a pic of what I wanted and yet I still had to tell her what to do? I always provide pictures to not only help myself in describing what I want, but it also gives the stylist a clear picture of what I’m looking for and we can discuss. The staff is nice. The place is clean which is where my 2 stars come from. I will be looking elsewhere once my hair grows and I have the confidence to have my hair in someone’s hands again.

This is the first time I came to the salon and I did not know what to expect. I asked the lady to be full blond and she understood what I meant so I felt in the clear. After nearly 5 hours with no breaks no food I noticed the tone getting darker and darker so I proceeded to tell her. She said and I qoute” I know what I’m doing I’ve done this for a while” very rude but i understood and allowed her to continue” mine u I got here at 11 now it’s 4 and I’m about to be done and it is completely dark and brown while her and her co-workers are “making jokes” and laughing. After this experience I hope nobody comes here if ur looking to dye ur hair it was a horrible experience bad customer support and overall sad now I have to spend the next 6 months like this. Your management needs to do better.

I had such a great experience with my haircut! Arhiell was so sweet and really took the time to get everything just right. You can tell she cares about her work, and it shows—this is honestly the best cut I’ve had in a long time. The whole appointment felt relaxed and easy, and my hair feels so much healthier! I’ll definitely be back!

Today's visit was my first time trying out this salon.. Madison was my hairstylist and she did a great job with the partial highlights and beautiful haircut style. I appreciated her giving me a price quote during the initial hair consultation. I highly recommend her and I already made my next appt with her. The receptionist was very nice and the place was clean and had good lighting.

I love, love my stylist, Michael. He gets me. He wrangles in my wavy-can’t-be-tamed hair and is so fast. Front desk is always professional, helpful, and friendly. Appointment reminders are great, too!

I went to Krystal today for the first time. I asked for a money piece & highlight with also a layering haircut and she did amazing! She is the sweetest person and recommended some products to improve my hair care & styling. I definitely recommend going to her for your hair services here at Spoleti Salon!

I went to Spoleti recently for a cut and full baylage. I was disappointed after my appointment because the cut and color didn't match up to the pictures that I had prepared for the appointment. That being said, I still had a good experience with Spoleti. They offered to have me return to the salon to have them fix my hair to what was expected. It was easy to communicate via text and I feel like they did their best to make things right. It's not easy being a small business in Austin, especially when you are working with a service like hair, so I appreciate that the salon did what they could. Ultimately I did not return, however that was primarily because I have another person I have gone to for my hair. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the cut/color was not what I was hoping for. However, I would not hesitate in recommending Spoleti to a friend. Thank you, Spoleti team for your responsiveness.

If you are looking to get a Bob, this is not the right place… I want to start by saying that the staff of this salon is very professional and friendly! The salon is also beautiful. My experience was very disappointing since I had very long hair and wanted to make a change by cutting my hair. I made an appointment for a bob haircut and the way I left the salon was with 2 layers, looking like steps from a staircase.. I rocked and rolled my hair but started to get a lot of comments from friends about how it had those two steps and how Bobs are not like that… I decided to go back for another appointment with a different hairstylist. I specifically asked for a straight Bob “NO LAYERS” I said… towards the end of my appointment, the hairdresser says that they needed to “blend” my hair and after the blowout, they start cutting my hair randomly to make it “blend”… my hair now has so many different lengths that makes me cry when I look myself in the mirror. It’s butchered, and there’s nothing I can do about it since it’s so short. The worst part is that it’s only one side, the left side does not have as many layers as my right side which makes it more uneven.. I’m sure this salon has great professionals and I don’t doubt that but this was my experience… I’m now using Bobby pins every day until my hair grows so I can finally get a straight haircut.

Can I say the customer service here and skill set is amazing. I came in after having my hair treated by multiple stylist in the past and they had to work ontop of a lot of other people patterns and technique and I’m so happy with the results. Lots of talent and I’m so happy with my blond!

I am updating my past review. I was seeing Virgina for my highlights but found out on short notice before my appointment in January she left so I saw Stephanie. I get full head of highlights, very blonde as she could see when I came in. Stephanie did not know what she was doing. She didn’t really make my hair blonde and didnt blend well or blended it too much and I didn’t like it so I came back in for her to redo it. BIGGEST MISTAKE I have ever made. I showed her pictures of what my hair looked like and what I wanted and she RUINED my hair. I don’t know hair terms but i believe she over processed my hair. I was so upset in tears in front of everyone and embarrassed. Gavin stepped in to help “fix” and salvage her screw up. Stephanie was helping him and he was telling her what to do. Why was she still touching my hair?! She clearly doesn’t know how to do blonde hair and she shouldn’t have touched my hair after that. That upset me. Thankful for Gavin for helping me and calming me down becuase I was not okay. Kristen was also helped make things right and said management was going to reach out to me and kept apologizing. I was very stressed because I was moving away in 2 days to another city and did not have time to come back in for an EXPERIENCED stylist to fix my hair. I spoke to management a few days later and sent pictures of the screw up and they did refund me my money. I’m updating my review because I’m still suffering the ramifications of Stephanie messing up my hair. Since I’ve seen her my hair has been falling out constantly which I have never experienced in the past getting my hair highlighted, the amount of breakage is very visible and all over and I have so many split ends. I’ve had to cut 4 inches off my hair since then!! I have thin hair and it has gotten thinner and it is so devastating to me. Im still so upset about my experience with her that I needed to voice this. The amount of money I have spent on salon visits and products to help my hair is insane. I wish they would’ve sent me some products as well since the damage she did was so bad. Words of advice, if you can’t do what the client is showing you tell them so they don’t have to go through what I am still going through!! My hair is damaged and I’m still trying to get my hair color/highlights back to how they were. My new stylist said it was the worst she has seen in a while. Overall I did like the salon and they were always very nice and friendly but I am still suffering (not exaggerating) from Stephanie messing up my hair. I had to voice this because it’s been 4 months since my experience and I’m still upset and I’m having to deal with my hair falling out constantly and I get tears in my eye still from my experience. My hair hasnt looked ot felt then same since and it has affected my self confidence. 2 stars because management refunded me my money and Gavin and Kristen were so sweet (recommended them for a stylist)! 0 stars for Stephanie. Do NOT use her if you are blonde.

I've tried a few salons in Austin and Spoleti is by far my favorite! I've been going to Kristen C. for years she's incredibly talented especially for curly styles. The salon is always clean, staff is friendly and their products are vegan!

I got a full highlight in October. The stylist used bleach, which had not been used to highlight my hair in many years, as my previous stylist used two to three different shades of blonde. I really didn't think any stylist just went straight for the bleach without a client specifically asking for it these days. Still, I was pretty pleased when I left, thanks to a few glasses of wine and a blowout. When I let my hair air dry the next day, I realized how terribly damaged the front was. She let it process for too long (didn't check enough) and it was absolutely destroyed, and breaking off. I have NEVER had that happen in the past when I did get bleach highlights. I have thick, healthy hair. I actually cried. It's now mid-March, I've been through 3 bottles of K18 (which is not cheap) but it's still breaking off and looks terrible. It's downright embarrassing, almost 6 months later. I do not have the hair type, face shape, or desire for bangs, so that's not an option. After just letting it be and doing the K18 treatments for awhile, I made an appt elsewhere to try to trim and blend some of this damaged hair in a bit better but it's going to be a long road to full recovery. I'm also very wary of getting highlights again after paying $380 to have part of my hair destroyed, plus almost $300 on K18. Don't make the same, very expensive and upsetting mistake that I did. Edited in response to Owner: I may have gotten the price wrong after 6 months, but what happened to my hair is no exaggeration. It was left to process for too long in the front. Furthermore, you couldn't put my hair back and I had zero interest in coming back there, or even discussing it as I was too upset, so I had no reason to contact your salon. This is an honest review, I didn't ask you for a refund, and I don't appreciate being accused of basically lying. Not a good look for your salon. Also highlights don't always "mean bleach" and that isn't "common knowledge." Quality stylists avoid bleach, unless it's requested. I am the daughter of a retired one. Lastly, I didn't "let" anyone fail me, so you can miss me with that victim-blaming, gaslighting nonsense.

I called to know the starting price for a bob cut and the lady ask me to spell my name three times then put me on hold then came back to me and ask twice to spell my last name. Finally time to ask about the next available appointment and being told April 10 and today is March 3. Lol

Amazing salon! I've seen a few different stylists here and they're all great. My go-to for the past almost year is Virginia. She's always going above and beyond with my hair and pays so much attention to detail. I'm mixed with textured, curly hair so I'm sometimes hesitant with trying new things. We've done color, cuts, and moisturizing treatments and I always leave satisfied. Thank you for your passion and kindness, Virginia! You're the best.

I always have hard time finding a salon that has hairstylists that I like and can work with my hair but I found Virginia here. She has been the absolute best with anything you throw at her. For the past 2 years I have done regular cuts and color and I’m always complimented for my hair. I have introduced hair to my family and friends and everyone has been happy so far. If you want a gorgeous color or want to cut your hair to take the weight off without sacrificing length, Virginia is your girl. (I took a star off because I heard she no longer works there so now I have to find out where she works now).

I don’t normally leave reviews - but I’ve been going to Virginia for about a year now and have been very impressed. I’ve had my hair done by many people over the years - and Virginia does the best job hands down with cut and color that I’ve ever had! She is wonderful at what she does and is super helpful in helping me pick what will look best on me and my hair type even when I have no clue what I want to do with my hair. I am very thankful to have found this salon - specifically for Virginia. Highly recommend :)
