Brooke and her team are great. I’ve visited most SportClips in Louisville and this location is consistently the best. All stylists I’ve had at this location have done very well cutting my hair. I’ve tried 3 other haircut shops from barber shops (Handsome Fellows, Generations) and an expensive salon (Gentlemen’s Cut) and SportClips in Middletown beats all of them.

So do you close at 6:30 or 7? I'm confused. When I get there at 6:30 with no one on the list and your closed, you closed at 6:30, not 7.

Got turned away today because an essentially empty wait area (one person excluded) means you were overbooked with online check-ins. I've come in plenty of times when the online was "full" per the app and a stylist was able to see me no problem. If I'm gonna spend over $20 for a varsity and a beard trim, I expect a full wait area when I'm turned away cause of overbooking. Not an empty one.

Just went there for my first time. I chose Brooke since she was the store manager. Brooke did a great job. She was friendly, kind, and helpful with a great smile as well. Definitely will be going back and would recommend her to anyone.

I’ve come to this establishment for years and the service in the past year has drastically fallen. I’ll be going to other locations in the city. Online posted time for closure is 8 pm. Store details on site say 6 pm. Consistently I would sign up online and arrive at the appointed time (15 min prior to estimated time of service) only to arrive and then wait another 30 or more min for service. Sunday I arrived at 5:26 pm. Two stylists were on duty and informed me they were booked up for the evening and could not accept new bookings. No guests in the lobby and none in the chairs. I went to my vehicle and sat on a personal call for a while and saw nobody show up for those appointments. I drove away at 5:50. Today, I went in at 4:38. Two stylists on duty, two people in chairs and two in the lobby. 3 names on the waitlist (2 of which were the two in the lobby). I went to sign up for service and they said they were again booked out for the evening. Almost 90 min left in open time with 2 stylists doing haircuts and 3 names on the list. Even if the two in the chair just went back the moment I stepped in, that would allow for each stylists to do 3, 30 min haircuts. That would mean I, as the sixth person would be within that time table. It says walk ins welcome on the website and the front of the building but whomever owns this site needs to either staff it to function during working hours or re evaluate the sign in service. If the management only thinks that the stylists can do one haircut every 30 min then maybe close the store and move the one or two there to another store. It’s frustrating as a customer who’s spent years going to the local sites without issue too so consistently have issues at this store.

Took our 2YO for a haircut just now. We were hoping for a shorter fade cut for summer and Mattie nailed it! She was unfazed by his wiggles and was so great with him.

Terigan was very rude and ruff with my child. She did a horrible job cutting, she had no patience and jerked his head several times. I'm very upset with the service she provided and would not recommend anyone utilizing her. She clearly had an attitude prior to the cut. Again, you are better off giving yourself a grinch christmas cut before taking seat in her chair. Very upset will not return

UPDATE: If I had been told that originally I would have been fine with it. I’m greatly familiar with the pain of new processes and procedures from both sides of the aisle. But I was told by both you and your manager (paraphrasing) that’s the way we do it. Most customers are loyal to a fault as long as one keeps them informed correctly. Even a, Let me check on this and get back to you” is completely acceptable. Lack of reliable communication can be a killer in a service business. However, I completely understand keeping the remaining Season Ticket funds. Best of luck in your continuing venture Second Post: I’m done. I kept my previous review in so if you don’t mind what I’m about to write you’ll know it’s an okay spot. But they have wasted my time twice now so I’m moving on. By the way, Robert Stewart down below had the same issue two years ago. He’s obviously smarter than I am because he stopped wasting his time with the “app that means nothing.” As long as they take walk-ins first they will continue to screw over the people who have been already spending money here. Way to keep clients!! Seven year at one place and they toss you aside like garbage. It’s rather depressing!! The check-in/waitlist on the app is worthless. If I check-in from the parking lot and a walk-in customer enters, suddenly my wait time is raised. It’s occurred twice. They put a walk-in right in front of me when I’m 50 feet away from the front door. I was already checked-in. The first time I thought it was my fault. I’m ALWAYS in the parking lot 15-20 minutes before my time. The second time I drove round-trip 110 miles for nothing. I’ve purchased MVP Season Tickets since 2016. And I always tip WAY above average especially around the holidays when I double or triple the cost of the MVP for a tip. But all that has bought me nothing. Best of luck! It’s a shame because I’ve never had the same person cut my hair five times at Sports Clips in a row. I was looking forward to that. Instead I’ll donate the rest of the amount left on my Season Ticket to my stylist, who also happens to be the manager. But she is merely following instructions from above. I hate giving away the money for two or three haircuts but I’d rather do that than put up with a flawed process. I’m also a bit disappointed that I’ve been a customer for over seven years but have heard nothing from the owner. I guess in this day and age it’s not surprising. I’m selecting a new company this week. ;-( Hello Handsome Fellows. Right down the street Original Review: I’ve been going here since 2016. I do get frustrated that many times the stylist that did a great job is not there for a second or third haircut. But then I realized that I only had two marginal haircuts over the past seven years. They have been able to take notes for future stylists to read for about three years. So, while not always able to get the same person, I’ve had some great haircuts here every six to nine weeks over many years. Plus, the newest manager has made it a much happier place. So I recommend getting the MVP and paying for a Season Ticket. ( I think that’s what it’s called). Six haircuts for the price of five plus a massaging hair wash and a light shoulder massage in the chair. I’ve tried a few other places in seven years but I keep returning here. And the app is excellent!!! Add to that gray hair gets kinda crazy…think the classic Einstein picture. So I’m planning on this place giving my last haircut ever…hopefully in about fifteen years. ;-)

Be warned they are changing their hours they have signage on the door not on the website. I walked in at 4:30 PM , they asked me if I sign in online I responded no I didn’t but I could. They told me that because they were closing at 6 PM they had no availability the rest of the day. It would’ve been nice if they could update their website to save me from driving 30 miles for nothing. They don’t have to worry I won’t return to that store. Great customer service.

Beyond fantastic. I always receive a great haircut and MVP service. A very talented staff. Best reason that I patronize them is that Sports Clips is a partner with the VFW in the Help A Hero Scholarship Program. So each haircut goes to helping our veterans who want to pursue their education.

Reviews are earned by me, take it from me Brooke is hands down the best hair stylist I have ever had. Super personality, amazing skills, you will fall asleep during the session or close to it. Check her out she’s the manager truly best haircuts every time.
