Not from the area. Found this salon on Google. They got me in on very short notice. Victoria is AMAZING. Cannot remember the last time I loved my hair this much. The rest of the staff was very nice as well. THANK YOU, Spruce Salon!

I have been going to Spruce since I moved to Austin and love it. I always have a great experience. I have had several stylist here cut my hair and all of them have been great. Payne has been my stylist for a couple years and she is awesome! If you are looking for a great salon, look no further!

I always enjoy coming to get my haircut at Spruce. The vibe is great, my hairdresser Payne is GREAT, and love how she has made each of my haircuts exactly what I’ve needed in taking care of my hair and it’s growth. This is the only hair salon I’ve gone to for the last year and the only one I plan on going to for the foreseen future. Thanks yall 😊

I’ve been coming to Spruce for three years now and wouldn’t think of going somewhere else. The staff is incredibly friendly, the vibe is welcoming and cool, the playlists are always a blast, and most importantly, the stylists are so talented. Payne has completely transformed the way my hair looks and feels!

I have been seeing Kourtni for years refer anybody and everybody her way, she is an amazing colorist with tons of knowledge (she travels & teaches classes all over). I recently saw Payne for a haircut & she did not disappoint!! I love my cut & color ❤️

I’m not a new customer to Spruce and have been happy with my hair cut results thus far. This time though I’m shocked at the lack of customer empathy . My appointment was at 3:00. At 3:04 I get a call from the salon and I literally say I’m less than 5 minutes away (stuck waiting behind school pick up traffic) and get there (about 3:10) only to be told that my appointment is canceled because of a 10 min rule. I get it , and it’s great that the salon strives for punctuality . But every single time I’ve been there previously I’ve waited for a minimum of 15 - 20 minutes. Also the last time I went for my haircut I had to actually drive back to swipe my card because they had some issues with their cc machine and it wasn’t able to process my previous card swipe. So I guess it’s fine if the salon is late/ has other issues - rules apply only to customers? Pretty frustrating.

Megan has been cutting my hair for over a year and she does a fantastic job. I really like how every time she asks me in detail about how my hair has been the last few weeks, and if there is anything that is bothering me and what I would like for the cut this time. I also really like that she takes the time to cut my fine hair with precision and detail, and then gives me a fun finish. Thank you Megan !!

I feel bad writing this review, but I'm pretty disappointed with my haircut. I went in last week because I had recently had a haircut and they didn't put in layers and I realized I needed a bit more dimension. I sat in the seat with Megan, who seems like a perfect nice person, and I told her I needed some layers/dimension and to keep the length (2 inches below shoulder) the same with some face framing. I figured this was enough info but perhaps I needed to communicate better because my layers are really bad. Hacked off too much in the front. I will be wearing my hair up for the next 6 months growing this out. I also didn't realize this was an Aveda salon and I should have checked that. I don't like going to Aveda salons because I feel like they try to push their products pretty hard.

I've been going to Spruce for years, but during Covid they changed their online procedures so that you can no longer contact them...or I haven't figured out how. I don't use the phone as I want written record of appointments so I can add them to my calendar. So my hair hasn't been cut in a year, or colored. Wow!

Recently discovered Spruce salon and have been so pleased with the service and personal touches I have experienced. Everyone is so kind and helpful. Megan is an amazing stylist and listened to exactly what my daughter and I were looking for in a cut. My color has never looked better and I would absolutely recommend this salon to anyone in Austin. The Owner appears friendly but seems unwilling to admit mistakes and sadly, did not take responsibility for a huge color error which resulted in several months of color & damage correction elsewhere. There were a couple of good stylists at this Salon, but buyer beware of the booking color services with Leah. Nice doesn't mean competent.
