Bait and Switch!! We have gone here a few times and enjoyed it but today they tried to pull a fast one on us. We went for a couples massage 1 hour and 1 hour in the sauna which should have cost $184 they said our membership needed to be renewed for $20 each over the phone, so fair enough we paid the $224.00 we went to get our massages today and were informed that we each owed an additional $34 each. Close to $300 for a 1 hour massage and Sauna???? No Thank You this isn't Canyon Ranch. If you read my reviews I am ALWAYS POSITIVE, BUT TODAY WAS DISAPPOINTING. This is bad business, I would try somewhere else. Integrity Matters. Take care.

Number one-false advertisement. Have to be a member to get advertised prices. Number 2-Jacuzzi and “sauna” which is actually a steam room smell like feet. Showers don’t work to rinse off the smell of the nasty jacuzzi water. Me and my girl paid for full treatment. You have to pay first,We walked out after 15 minutes, the place is disgusting. After walking out, the front desk lady just waived and said okay after we complained about the service. Definitely not recommended. I was able to take a quick picture of the floor.

This place has highway robbery down to a science! If you want to have a somewhat enjoyable experience here, I suggest you come in, hand them your wallet, and then pick it up on your way out without any questions. I did not read the reviews bc I was given 2- $20 gift certificates from a friend. Coming in, I was immediately overwhelmed by the strongarming of upsells and then saying I could only use one certificate per visit. Knowing I would never be back after looking at their prices and after their exhausting behavior, I started to walk out and then they said OK... they'll take both as long as I bought the CBD oil up charge (they didn't even pass the info- I had to tell the therapist). A 1 hour "partial" massage with $12 CBD oil and $40 in gift certificates still cost me $40 (up front) not including tip. After an hour of a mediocre massage, they said they were done, and I asked why the feet were not included... they said if I wanted a whole massage, I would have to pay for another half hour. On my way out of the room before I could even get to the desk, the massage guy said I owed him $20 minimum. I told him I didn't even get a full massage and my feet still hurt... so I gave him a $20 and asked for a $5 back. He started to complain but then I cut him off and said I know what you're doing and you're not doing it to me... he said ok fine I won't say anymore. I spoke Mandarin with him the whole time so I can't imagine others who get this treatment without being able to communicate with them. It is important to read reviews these days before you go to any establishment and spend your hard earned money... especially if the goal is to enjoy something and relax. There's more disturbing things that happened here but I wanted to keep this as short as possible. A few places where the owners and therapists are kind and good, are Happy Foot Spa on Durango, Five Star Good Foot Spa on Ft Apache, and Ocean Reflexology on E Sunset.

Need to find another spa! Every time we come here (the massage people are great) we feel we get hussled from front desk. Rooms and busy message people not ready when we scheduled a time, they try to ad on more services. They even owed money back and never paid and started don't have access to find your visits. They don't keep track. Also we had scheduled an appointment scheduled at 2pm with one male and one female we get there and they are busy and upsold to use sauna to pass the time. And two females have us the massage.

Very subpar massage. Went in for a foot and shoulder massage, the lady was very rough and didn’t even give a proper foot massage just leg. They also require a $20 tip after service and will even hound you for more of a tip before leaving. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Was not happy with my massage. The older lady was super rough, and it felt like she was just in a hurry to get the job done. To be honest the best way I could describe the experience was like being in a hospital bed and getting a sponge bath. It was just not enjoyable at all. Then on top of it, when I went to pay, I did not give her a full tip because I was not happy with the service. She practically shoved the pricing card in my face and tried to demand more money from me. I know everybody has really good recommendations of this place, but it was not something that I recommend.

Prices advertised are member prices which are $20 more than price. False advertisement. So if you go to get a massage and want to join membership add $40 to the advertised price. Which put it over the average price you can get for similar services in the city.

The experience was amazing.. I went for a couple’s massage.. we also got into the jacuzzi and sauna (please add this to your package) I don’t remember their names but they were amazing. The guy released my pain in my left arm lower back. The woman was so patient with her she did say she enjoyed it. Cleanliness: 9/10 Customer Service: 9/10 Affordability: 10/10

They will hound you and not let you leave until you tip them more than $20, it made the entire experience so uncomfortable. You want more than 20$ for a $44 massage! The math ain't mathing ma'am. This is our second time going here and at first I would tell people that it was worth it but after this experience I tell people to completely stay away from here, it's just not worth it.

Awful experience!!!! Do not go there!!! We went there to celebrate a birthday 4 women. Called ahead and asked for only women to massage us. Called ahead and asked how much it costs for full body massage for one hour. On the phone, we were told $50 foot massage and $55 full body both for one hour. The person on the phone did not have any problems with English. We repeated a few times to make sure we understood the prices and what you get. We get to this place and they tell us the person on the phone probably had an English problem but those prices are for members only. We try to argue but they won’t budge. Then they say for women to do the massage we have to wait. We told them we called ahead a few days and made an appointment with only women. Doesn’t help, we have to wait. We go in, not so impressed with the open rooms closed with a cloth. Yes, you can hear the other people talking and/or the slapping of the skin from the massage people which is apart of the massage. I asked the women doing the massage to do strong but not to strong, most of the massage was very painful. We come out and I ask one of the women to give me change for a $20. She takes the bill looks at her friend then back at us and says, “no, no, no, you had a full body hour massage, I worked hard, you asked for strong, it’s $20 each.” We were shocked. I look at her and ask her, are you telling me how much to tip you? She tries to show me a flyer with how much the massage costs and that it’s full body. I go to the front desk and wait some time until even being Acknowledged. Then I ask for change from them. The front desk says we need to tip $20 each. We refuse, they argue. Then when they understand they might not get a tip at all, they each take $10 and say it’s okay, we will split the $20. Out of being so shocked, we gave it to them and walked out. We will NEVER go back again. Most horrible massage experience ever.

DO NOT COME HERE We have a family of 5 people The 2 staff did for my parents so mean, they yell and shushed at my parents when my parents were speaking. After all, 5 of us are not happy since they did the massage so softly. Still, we were kind and gave them each 20% tip. but they came out and swarmed us, asking for 40% tip instead… Plus, they advertised $88 for 2 person but when we come it becomes $68 for 1 person for 1 hour massage Absolutely horrible. Do NOT come here if you don’t want to be disrespected.

Unclear pricing to deceive customers. Make sure you have a minimum of $20 tip because they will hung you and prohibit you from leaving as if you stolen from them.

$88 couple massage.. not true/ member only. $140 a couple.. I specifically asked for a female, waited 25 minutes for a woman. I was put in room where a man started massaging me. He beat the living daylights out of me. He was pushing the air right out of me.. my feet 😳 I was in tears.. hurt me badly. I took pictures of the bottom of my feet/ so black & blue, I have been limping for 2 days. Terrible place. I recommend reading their reviews before spending $1.. out of 8 massage chairs / 1 works. The place is very run down/ pictures are deceiving!! I question if the people doing massage are even licensed.. I had many massages.. never experienced anything like this before. Be Cautious.. I wish I could share pictures of my bruises 😢

Great place & good prices Cash is king here, but here's what to expect: The massage is skilled, the pressure will be what you ask for, but the flow is erratic. The front desk is precise and to the point which can seem rude to some people, but they're simply there giving information and coordinating services. They're required to give offers on entry. If you don't know what you want before you go in it's very helpful, if not it can seem pushy to some people. Know the culture, money upfront. Tip after with cash, if available. It helps to give front desk a $5 bill as soon as you enter. You'll make friends real fast and get great service. If you know you're getting services days ahead of time, I strongly recommend stopping by at least the day before and purchasing the membership. It pays for itself and allows you to tip more with the savings you get.

I have been going to Star for years now. I will not be going back. Lets start with the upcharges that they do not tell you about until you say yes. And if you say no they get pushy. Also, the price you see online is only IF you are a VIP member. Do not pay the $15 for a face mask or eye mask that you can get at Walmart for under $5. I opted for the 90 minute massage. They do not actually massage for 90 minutes, 30 of it is spent getting the towels positioned just right, getting hot stones and water for your feet. After the massage you are met outside your room only to be accosted by the massage therapist for a tip. I tipped 25% and was told to give more. I processed to tell them I did not have any more cash (not that I planned on giving more). They then said to go swipe my card. You do not get to tell me what I am to tip you. Needless to say I do not plan on going back nor will I recommend this place to everyone.

I’m not exaggerating when I say it is the worst massage I’ve had in my life. The masseuse simply seemed like they had no idea what they were doing and had never massaged another person before. They completely lacked any technical skills, and I actually decided to finish early and walk out because I couldn’t take it anymore. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable for your face. There’s also no private rooms, the spaces are separated by fabric in between so you hear every conversation around you. Not a relaxing experience AT ALL. Keep looking for a different place

Shame shame shame Very disappointed, scheduled a couples massages for my husband, his cousin, the wife and myself, checked in and they had us sit down. Then an Asian lady walks in wanting a massage. They take the Asian lady in and made us wait 20 mins for our scheduled appointment. Very unethical if you ask me, What’s the purpose of appointments if this lady just walks in and they take her in ahead of us. When I confronted the receptionist with “what’s the purpose of appointments, she stated “she the Asian lady had booked an appointment with that specific massage therapist” what a coincidence, right! I don’t know if I will come back as no respect is given to your valuable time as a customer.

So, my husband and I are tourists, and I read many reviews of this place before we visited. We still took the chance and just left moments ago. The majority of the reviews were spot on. The lady at the desk was friendly but recommended several times for an upsell. Since I read the reviews, I was prepared, but she took a hint only after my 2nd firm no. I also confirmed and reconfirmed the cost and requested a receipt, again having read the reviews where the language barrier resulted in confusion of price. We were under the impression that the couples massage was $88. Then the lady said only if we were members, so we ended up paying $68 each which was still reasonable in our opinion. The environment was clean and wait short. I did read where there weren't separate rooms, and one can hear the outside talk of other patrons. This is true, but once patrons settled, it was quiet again. The actual massages were great for both my husband and I. Great pressure and very relaxing. At the end, both therapists waited around and asked for tips. We were inclined to, but I had just read several reviews that spoke of tipping $20 each, and they were still ungrateful. We found this to be true. We then declined to tip, and they followed us outside. My husband took the liberty to go back inside and speak to the lady at the counter to explain that they were getting poor reviews for this very behavior. While the massage was great, we were anticipating the behaviors described here and were able to manage our expectations. It was good for the price and no bother to us since we won't be back to Vegas anytime soon!

The service is great. But when done, they follow you not letting you leave until you give them a tip. And not $5 $10 it has to be more than $30 I know the tip is expected but what if you just have enough money for the service and a little for a tip. The economy sucks, right now. And when your in a budget because of rent and bills but your body hurts for working all them hours And to be forced to give a big tip, is ridiculous.

Tried the steam room and jacuzzi with my husband. They didnt clean this facility in awhile. The jacuzzi seemed clean enough but the bubbles were violent and did not have a massage quality. Very cheap. There was trash on the ground (used paper towels, champagne corks, use water bottles). And the red couch in there was stained and disgusting. At least clean the tiles in the shower and steam room. Would not have stayed at all but they make u pay first. I should've known that was a red flag. Plus the lady that brought us back used her foot to open the steam door. She didn't even want to touch it lol

Been a loyal customer/member for years dating all the way back to the Bali Foot Spa location on Spring Mountain. Still one of my favorite places in the whole city , but the last few times I’ve been I’ve been turned off by the pressure of the upsell of CBD oil, hot tub session, etc. and if I go back up there and my masseuse begs me for more than the very adequate $20 tip that I offer, I’m never going back…

STAR SPA is very deceiving! DON'T TRUST THEM!!! They use Unethical Marketing Practices: 1. False Advertising 2. Hidden Fees 3. Bait & Switch 4. Manipulative Pricing ***with the above practices, I'm sure they use FAKE positive reviews and testimonials to mislead customers! TIMELINE OF EVENTS: Saw their add online It says, "Couples Massage $88" Couples Massage: 60 min Body Massage - for 2 people Private VIP room Hot Stone included ***This add is also right outside their door We walked in: 1. Noticed their prices were different 2. The lady said, "It's $88 per person." 3. We said, "Ok" 4. The lady, then lays out face masks & eye masks and said choose a face mask and an eye mask (We thought it was included with the service) 5. We picked the face mask and eye mask 6. Then she showed us a flyer and asked if we wanted to ADD CBD oil for $12, we declined. 7. Payment: The lady asked how we wanted to pay. We said, card. Then she asked if we had cash! We said we want to pay using a card. She said, pay halfin cash and half on the card. 8. The lady said they didn't have enough cash! We were CONFUSED, but paid. 9. In actuality she OVER CHARGED FOR THE MASSAGE AND CHARGED US FOR THE MASKS. 10. We immediately canceled the services, requested a refund and walked out!! Don't trust this place!!!! UNETHICAL MARKETING PRACTICES!!! YOU WALK OUT FEELING "CHEATED" FOR SURE!!!!

So I went back to give a 2nd chance. This guy was worse. Very light pressure, again have to leave to get stones, water and this time, wet towels. Worse I paid for 90min. I was in my car at 11:11. That tells me I might of got 50min of massage. So done with this place. Waste of money, gas & my time

Worst experience, they sent a marketing piece on pricing and then when you arrive if you’re not a member they up the charges. They then spend 5 min trying to get you as a memeber. My massage was horrible. I got a 90 min massage and probably had only 45 min of actual massage which wasn’t good. The lady had her phone on her and kept answering text messages and leaving the room. To top it off they try to pressure you at the end to tip much higher then 20%. I get a lot of massages and the spa right next door on Durango and Spring Mountain is 1000% times better! I wish I could give no stars!

Worst massage ever !!!! Today I paid a 90 minute massage(which was more like a 20 minute massage) and it was one of the worst massage ever, the”massage therapist “ kept leaving the room while doing my massage, she was on her phone and would stop massaging me not sure if to reply to text Messages or to take pictures of me 😡😡she never massage my lower back and then she came with a bucket full of water and put my feet in it 😣and then she got some towels and starting cleaning my legs ( when she had not put anything on them ) then she still has the nerve to ask me for a tip of $15 or more !!’ Worst place ever don’t ever come here waste of time and money !! And yes I will be getting a lawyer to sued this place they should not be taking pictures of the clients with. Out permission 😡😡😡😡
