I got a full set of gel acrylics and the guy told me on the phone it would be $55. When I get there I show him what I want (medium almond) he tells me that he has to charge me $5 extra for length and $5 extra for shape. Which is unusual to me because the nails I asked for were not long. So I ask him to show me how short it is for regular price. He shows me and I agree he then continues to cut every single one of my nails shorter than what he did on the first one. He wasn’t paying attention to detail. I’ve gotten my nails done many times before and I can tell that each of my nails has a different shape and length. When it’s time for color he tells me that again it’s $5 for the color I want I ask him if there is a color like that for regular price and he says not really so I pick another color I like. At this point I’m upset and I have voiced my concerns about the shape and length and he tells me that the polish will change the look and that my nail beds are the issue. Keeping in mind that the picture I showed him were my nails and they were perfect shape and size medium almond. At the end I discuss with him that I am not happy and ask him to lower the price because they’re not what I wanted and I don’t like them. He refuses and continues to blame me for everything. Needless to say I won’t be going here again because it was a terrible experience and I can’t help but feel as though he wanted to upsell me because I looked a certain way.

I take myself, my daughter, and my mother every single month for manicure and fill ins...absolutely the best service in town and super friendly. I feel like they are family and I get so many compliments on my nails🥰

Lisa did a wonderful job. I even got a design on one nail, which I never do. She is a real artist. Everyone is friendly, and the place is very bright.

Star Nails is my favorite place to get my nails done in town! 😍 Everyone is so welcoming and professional. They also have a flash reactive nail polish (seen in the picture) that no one else in Knoxville seems to know about! A big thanks to Steven for always offering his expertise in nail health and remembering my name when I come in. Go here and your nails will last.

I have been here numerous times in the last two years, and I’ve never been disappointed. They are open to walk ins (which I do regularly) and you can make appointments. They are always so nice and actually interested in getting to know you and giving you a set of nails that you want to show off!
