Jackie at Stepping Out Salon is the BEST! We are lucky that we found her. Both my husband and I are new clients of hers and we are extremely pleased. Not only does the Stepping Out Salon have a nice atmosphere, but all of the stylists are friendly and so pleasant. Jackie has performed both keratin smoothing treatments and hair cuts for both of us to our satisfaction. Thanks Jackie for the excellent service!

If you are wondering if you should go don’t just book an appointment! I am new to Woodbury area and decided to try Stepping Out on Main after hearing great reviews. I was not sorry at all! Amazing salon I loved it! Had lowlights over highlights, ombré style. It came out gorgeous better than I could’ve hoped and looks just like the picture sample I brought to Melissa. All staff were all professional , friendly and smiling. Owner Jackie was lovely! Prices were very reasonable and highly competitive! I will be returning for more of their offered services! 10/10 experience Stepping out definitely just won me over and got regular customer!

Came here for a mens cut once. The stylist was an older lady who gave me one of the worst cuts I got in my life, did not shampoo, did not section. They cannot justify the price I paid for such an unprofessional job, actually I am surprised I was charged at all. I owned a salon in NYC for 10 years and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Best haircut I ever got. Nicole cut my hair exactly the way I wanted it. It took me 8 yrs. to find the right salon. Nice staff, very professional and friendly. I will definitely be back and will recommend it highly.

I have been a customer of Nicole's at Stepping Out for 2 years. She listens to what you say, and then does exactly what you ask. When she was unavailable, I saw Leslie, and had the same, wonderful experience. Stepping Out has a professional, friendly atmosphere. I look so forward to my visits. I have referred several people, and they are all as thrilled as I am!

I have been a customer of Stepping Out for many years now. I look forward to going to the salon every 6 weeks to see Jackie, it's like seeing a friend. The atmosphere is welcoming as you can hear the faint echos of clients updating their stylist on thier lives as well as the reverberations of laughter throughout the shop. The stylist keep up on their skills to offer the lastest trends in haristyles. If you're looking for a salon that won't let you leave disappointed, then you must check out Stepping Out.

Stepping Out was highly recommended by a friend of mine. I was looking for a reasonably priced place that did a good job. My friends hair always looks great. The place is friendly and inviting, yet professional. I loved my new haircolor and will definitely be a regular customer.

I've been a customer at Stepping Out for nearly 20 years. The staff are fun, funny, kind, caring and helpful....each and every one. Jackie is someone, after all these years, I consider a friend. I can't imagine having my hair done anywhere else. In fact, I call my appointment days "My Holy Days of Obligation," and never miss an appointment.

If you're cursed with straight, short hair, recommend you get Barry to cut it. He knows how to do it and he's very consistent - not just over months, but over years. You'll really feel like you've finally fixed the problem!
