Hi, I’m from California and I’ve never had my hair done so incredibly well !! Meagan does top notch color techniques that are big city worthy !! Tammy does my edgy pixie cuts which is so hard to find !! I love my hair when I walk out plus I get a ton of compliments !! These 2 are for keeps !!!

I was so happy with how accommodating Meagan was. There was some conflict of my schedule and she’s very happy to put me in another time. The service was great, the way she works is awesome. The place is also very accessible and easy to get to. Highly recommended!

I was at the salon this morning and I left very upset I had a 10oclock appointment and the hair dresser didn't show up till 1030 but that wasn't the worst of it I made an appointment fir a haircut and color but she wanted to give me a dry hair cut and color consultation not what I wanted so I left I am very u happy with this salon and would advice you to find a better and friendly place to go

Tammie does an amazing job. I recently had radiation treatment and lost hair in part of my head. The hair was growing back, but the way I had my hair was making it look worse. She did amazing job at cutting and blending and now it looks amazing.

Cassidy is the best! I come from out of town to have her do my hair. She understands it, is PATIENT with it most of all, because it’s not easy and she always makes the end results what I want. She really does know what she’s doing, she is so good. Never disappointed when I go to Steven Michaels! Plus everyone is so nice when I come in. 10/10 recommend.

I don't get the most agreeable results when I try and wing it with this whole "having hair" thing. But, luckily, when I'vr got that hot date with destiny, I have an ace in the hole. And Steven Michaels Salon is that ace. Cassidy and her merry band of fellow hair wizards will pull out not one, but ALL of the stops getting you lookin like a shiny show pony. Do yourself a favor and give them a shot if you haven't already. You WILL be a pony. I guarantee it.

I have been going to the salon for over 6 years and have always enjoyed every appointment I have ever had. I drive 1.5 hrs each way because I can’t find anywhere around me that doesn’t mess up my hair. I bring my daughter and husband with me to get my hair done and they are always so sweet and friendly with everyone. I would highly recommend this salon if you need somewhere to get your hair done.

If I could give them more than a 5 star rating I would! BEST EXPERIENCE! From the moment I called to make an appointment to the moment my husband and I walked in the door we experienced such wonderful customer service!! The sweet lady at the front desk (forgot her name) greated us with a smile, offered us a drink and let us know our stylist, Carly would be with us soon. The atmosphere was more than inviting, very beautiful decor at each station, all of the hairstylists there were very sweet, with wonderful personalities, and the setup of the salon was different then what I have ever had. I did not feel cramed to the next person in the chair. We went in for my husband to get his beard trimmed and shaped. Carly not only did the best job on his beard, she made me feel so welcome that I allowed her to cut my hair too -- and I am picky! Carly did an amazing job! The salon itself is more than inviting. We scheduled our next appointment before we even left! 10/10 recommend them over the many others I've been to!

If you are looking for a salon in the Columbia/Elgin area, this is the place! The whole team of stylists is caring and listens to your needs! Not to mention, they have fabulous aestheticians that offer nail services, eyelashes, and eyebrow services. Steven Michaels is professional and an all around amazing salon. Can’t wait to come back!!

Maria Barlow has given me quality and professionalism with a ton of caring and kindness every time I contact her and walk into the Salon. Some how she takes my ideas and needs and executes them every time. I ALWAYS walk out happy about my hair cuts and color. She also does my Children’s haircuts 😊 Besides her years of experience and talent, she is ALWAYS ON TIME. I am a very busy Mom and making time for anything is so difficult. She works with my schedule, she gets me in and out and never makes me feel pressured. I refer her to everyone I come across asking my advice. Take a chance! Go see Maria 👍
