I cycled through a lot of stylists when I moved to Seattle trying to find someone who “gets” my hair, and eventually (finally!) found Alexander Scott - I’ve been going to Alexander for a two years now and I love that I can trust him to guide me on color and cut. I get so many compliments on my hair from people wanting to know where I go, and I’m always happy to point them to Alexander. I’ll bring in a handful of inspo photos and ask how he’d apply the general vibe to my hair, and he always comes up with something amazing that works well for my hair goals, and explain how he gets there. He also gently guides me away from ideas that might not have been the best from me, and suggested alternatives, which I so appreciate. I don’t spend a lot of time styling my hair and don’t want to have to get touch ups every few weeks, and the color technique Alexander does allows me to go a few months between appointments. I really appreciate how he knows my hair goals and does my hair in a way that works with my lifestyle and the time (or lack or) I have for daily maintenance / styling. Also, shoutout to his dog Oliver. I book my appointments on days Ollie is at the salon… sweetest bub in the world. Thanks Alexander!

Structure’s environment, vibe, setup, personnel, and owners are absolutely wonderful. Everything feels intentional and totally elevated. Expect to be greeted and treated with kindness—no “Seattle freeze” we (don’t lie) have become accustomed to by so many other storefronts and folks. Alexander Scott has been my go-to stylist since I moved here over a year ago. From the moment he put shears to hair—before color, mind you! 🤩—I knew he was “it” for me in this city. Part of what I love about Alexander’s process is that he truly clarifies specifically what you’d be looking for: he asks questions about preferences to manage expectations; he is pragmatic and realistic about what can and cannot be done in one sitting. About this and many other things, he has excellent feedback, recommendations, and taste. We’ve been long, we’ve been short, we’ve been darker and lighter. Through all of it my hair has stayed strong and healthy, which is so important to me. Alexander’s balayage and hair cutting skills are probably some of the best in Seattle, to say nothing for his experience and knowledge of all things hair. As mentioned above, the owners have hearts of gold, Johnathan is such an angel! It’s rare to have such visibility alongside humility and kindness. I truly cannot recommend this establishment or Alexander highly enough! 💕

Alexander has been my stylist for 5 years. He is the only stylist who I trust with my naturally curly hair for cuts and colors and does excellent work when it comes to balayage and fashion colors. Highly recommended!

I can’t say enough about how amazing Alexander Scott is at his job. My hair just gets better and better with time. He is always lively, fun, and kind. I can never go to someone else ever again! 10/10 if you want amazing, lasting color that grows out gracefully, go see him!

Alexander Scott is beyond phenomenal! I've never met anyone who thinks of color the way he does, and it translates into all of his client's perfectly styled and colored hair. He listens and understands your goals while offering suggestions for what he thinks will best suit you. When it came time for me to transition from covering to blending my grey hair, I knew Alexander would know exactly what to do. I love that I feel confident having my grey hair growing in while adding color to best frame my face with the growth. Maintenance is easy and grows out beautifully. If you are looking for a stylist, he is the one!

Alexander Scott for color. He is the best. Consults but also listens. Both provides and follows guidance. Adventurous but not reckless. You will trust him and love your hair. He understands taking gray to blonde and takes his time thinking through what he is going to do and how he's going to do it. Plan on spending a few hours - he will tell you stories and make you a coffee while he transforms your hair.

Adam cut my hair this morning and not only is the cut perfect for my hair type and challenges, but it’s also perfect for my daily lifestyle. Sometimes you have the pleasure of meeting an absolute light and this haircut was one of those times. Great service and fantastic cut!

This is a long overdue review for Adam! I've always been hesitant to let anyone touch my hair, but I was getting tired of the same look and decided to take a chance. After researching a bit, I came across great reviews about Adam and he did not disappoint. He is a great listener and was able to understand exactly what I was looking for. I’ve been going to Structure since they opened 5 years ago and followed Andrea, Manzo and Jen from another salon. 10 years total of seeing them regularly. I cannot say enough of how amazing Structure is and highly recommend it. The best salon in Seattle in my opinion.

I’ve been seeing Adam Turner for going on eight years, and the man is both my hair genius and my dear confidant. Adam has been great about leading me through an evolving hair look over this time that’s just been better and better. He knows my hair, shape, and aesthetic and brings it all together in a fabulous vision and great haircut that feels exactly right even if I could not have articulated it myself. I love seeing Adam and catching up during our sessions - he is a stellar person all around and a good friend, which is really what it comes down to. Thank you Adam!

This was my first time getting an appointment here for a haircut. Manzo did an excellent job - I’m always skeptical going to a hairdresser because South Asian hair has its own requirements and mine in particular is very temperamental. But in the end I had nothing to worry about because Manzo really knows what he’s doing Also have to mention that this is one of the best hair washes I’ve had too.

I saw Manzo for a haircut and style for my long curly hair. I asked him to cut a curly cut that would look good worn straight, and he did a perfect job. Looks terrific blown out, and is also the perfect rounded shape when worn curly. I’ll update with pics when I take some. The salon itself is also lovely. Looking forward to going back 😊
