I've been here a few times and have had both Kai and Liz cut my hair. They are both really great and take the time to understand what I want and what will work for my hair! I often struggle finding good hair cut inspo that will actually look the way I want it to, so I really appreciate that they both are thorough and skilled at cutting my hair.

Mike is an incredibly skilled and talented hairstylist! I've been a loyal customer for over six years, and even though I moved away from Charlottesville more than two years ago in 2022, I still make it a point to book an appointment with him whenever I'm in town. His work and dedication are truly unparalleled. What sets Mike apart is his attention to detail—he keeps meticulous notes from every appointment since the very beginning, ensuring consistent, personalized service. His easy-to-use booking system and professional yet friendly demeanor make the entire experience exceptional. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

Great experience, nice staff. I had someone (relatively) new, and she did a great job on my haircut. They definitely take the time to understand what you're looking for (using pictures, descriptions, etc.). Would highly recommend for students (they give a student discount).

I have been coming to see Kai for at least six months now and I think I have enough to say that they truly are an amazing hair stylist. The pictures I’m including are from different times I went. I showed Kai some inspo pics and they made them come to life. I never knew how to properly style or care for my curly hair, and Kai was such a guiding light in explaining how my hair is best cared for, what products to use, and in general just awesome to talk to. Each time I go in they Individually define my curls, which is something I never have Do or the skill, and it’s so cool to see. I never thought my hair would be able to do anything like how they do it. GO! They’re amazing!

I’ve been to studio 108 for a few haircuts and they have nailed it every time. The stylists are really nice, the atmosphere is relaxing and fun, and the work they do is really great. I’ve never been dissatisfied with a visit. If you need a haircut in Charlottesville this is the place to go.

This was hands down the best experience I've had at a salon in a very long time. The atmosphere was very calm and Kai was very gentle with my hair. I brought several inspiration photos and Kai looked at each of them and answered all of my questions before helping me decide exactly what I wanted to do with my hair. Then she gave me an amazing cut that was exactly what we talked about. She checked in with me throughout the cut to make sure we were on the same page, and everything turned out perfect. Highly recommend!

Kai is a curl whisperer. As a curly girl herself, she paid close attention to my hair’s natural texture to create a perfect custom cut (and even did a cool curl twirl to define each of my curls individually). So glad I finally found my stylist after being here for so long. Never going to anyone else but her from now on.

Don't go here if you have curly hair, which I think most of his customers don't. This is the first 15 minute haircut I've received and it's not an adequate amount of time for hair like mine. In general I was made to feel uncomfortable about my hair from Mike, he was reluctant to cut my hair and made me feel like a burden.

A hair studio that is affordable, yet gives you a personalized cut. I have been to a couple of their stylist and had the same amazing experience. They take detailed notes of what you prefer. The atmosphere is fun and artistic. Who knew you could have this much attention to detail and yet afford the cut? Studio 108.
