After going to an overrated chain to get my hair massacred in October, I finally had the courage and enough hair growth to get my hair cut and hopefully fixed. Danna did an amazing job! She walked me through the process and fixed the disaster that was my hair. I’m so grateful for her and will definitely be back!

So I want to start by saying I get regular highlights with Nina and have been a loyal customer for awhile now. Nina does a great job. However, I am writing this review because of the solans policy and want to make sure others are aware. I have never missed or rescheduled an appointment until this month. My 10 month old came down with a cold the day before my appointment. So I called to reschedule. I’m glad I did because the next day I was also sick too. Two days after rescheduling my appointment I was charged 30% of my appointment cost (I pay almost 300 so this was a big cost) and I called and asked why? It was because I didn’t reschedule before 72 hours, which we were not sick then. As someone who has never missed my appointment or rescheduled previously I was very disappointed in this. I feel like this promotes going to appointments sick and the spreading of germs. If 2020 has taught us anything it is to stay home when ill. Do I agree with having to pay for services if a no show…yes that is completely fair, but I gave more than 24 hours noticed with a sick baby. Additionally, one of my previous appointments was rescheduled the day of because my stylist was sick. I had to wait 5 weeks for a new appointment and completely understood…I feel the same courtesy should be reciprocated. As a result after my rescheduled upcoming hair appointment I will be looking for a new salon.

DONT USE THIS PLACE IF LIFE HAPPENS AND YOU NEED TO RESCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT I was aware of their policy of getting hit with a charge for cancellations but they were still going to charge me$45 for trying to at least reschedule. You get a person who is not sympathetic to things that suddenly come up and you need to reschedule. All you get is “ I’m sorry the system won’t let me reschedule” So why have a person answer the phone to give the customer a hard time.Then I proceeded to let him know I will not using their business any longer and just said “ thank you. Have a nice day! This company has no experience in customer service! I will not be using Studio 209 again and will never recommend them to my friends and family. I will certainly tell my story on the neighborhood app as well. They are a disgrace to the word customer service. They just want to take your money.

I have lived here in El Paso for a little over a year and had yet to find a hair stylist to cut my hair. I decided to give this place a try and I really liked my experience. The front desk was really sweet and even offered me drinks and later a snack. Alondra was my stylist and she did really awesome with the haircut I asked for. I have a hard time trusting someone with cutting my hair and Alondra did a great job. Hopefully once I make up my mind on what kind of hair color I want to change my hair to I will go back to her.

I went in for a balayage. Unfortunately, I left with three distinct colors in my hair, rather than the natural, blended look I was hoping for. It seemed as though the stylist didn’t use any toner, which left my hair looking patchy and uneven. I ended up needing a color correction at another salon, and even they asked if I had paid for my initial service While I reach out to them to tell them about my experience I chose to go elsewhere to ensure my hair would be in more experienced hands. Speaking of experience, I was never informed about the stylist’s level of expertise, nor did I even know who would be handling my hair until I sat down in the chair. After spending nearly $800 that month, this whole experience left me feeling frustrated and disappointed.

I asked for highlights and that’s not what I got. My hairdresser had 4 months of experience with zero supervision of an expert. I paid $200 to someone with very minimal experience. They should at least disclose this information to the customer. She washed my hair twice because she missed some bleach spots the first time. It took her 6 hours to do my hair … no hair cut nor did she style it. Plus very messy . The manager did call me to get it fixed and offered free treatment and haircut . I denied his offer because I don’t feel comfortable and I don’t want to put my hair to more bleach stress.

In love with this place, staff, and environment. The establishment was clean and overall beautifully decorated, high class! The treatment is top of the tier. I felt noticed and heard from the time I walked into the establishment to the time I left. Jules was professional, funny, and did exactly what I wanted. Alondra was my stylist. I consulted verbally along with pictures and she knew right away what I was looking for. She exceeded my expectations beyond words. I moved here to the El Paso area back in 2018 and could never find somebody to cut my hair the wayI wanted, but I reached out to Studio 209 in desperation of not caring what I look like the next day I just wanted to clean up from the last haircut I had, And just a couple of pictures and a brief conversation, Alondra really was my angel in a literal sense. She literally made me a happy, humble person again. So if there were more than 5stars, she gets them all. Also I don’t wanna leave out the receptionist who is very patient and friendly understanding kind and compassionate, and listened To my needs. I absolutely hated my haircut. I told the girl long layers and she cut a straight line full of mistakes leaving my hair 4 inches shorter than what I wanted. I will never be returning.

I usually write positive reviews to help businesses, however I’ll make an exception to save you ladies from overpaying $$ for such awful looking hair. I went in for a balayage on already naturally blonde & light hair (so it usually takes 2h max) and a simple trim of my bob. I specifically requested a blunt cut with minimal texturing in the back to avoid a heavy bubble look, no layers, but Ruby said she was “shaping” and ended up chopping my hair into weird layers that are much shorter than expected. Now I literally look like a broom. Uneven chunks in the back, missing pieces, not possible to hide in any way. The balayage is also nowhere near I showed her in the picture, she over-toned my hair and what was supposed to be beige blonde, turned out to an awful shade of green! After contacting her via instagram, she kept replying that management will contact me. They asked me to come and have it fixed… I wonder how, if the layers were too short. Also, who in the right mind would go “fix” the hair to the salon that messed them up to begin with? They informed me that there’s no refund policy, of course. I’ve lost over $300 for ridiculous color I don’t like and even worse cut that will take months to grow back. This has to be corrected elsewhere, so I’ll pay double. I now find myself stuck with hair that is difficult to manage, and the only way to cope is with a messy bun every day… What’s the point of having hair done? I’m furious with how my hair turned out. I would not recommend this salon by any means. Also, don’t be fooled by the positive google reviews- check out yelp and you’ll find what really happens there. Very unprofessional. Here are the pictures, it actually looks worse in real life. The last one is after I fixed green hue myself, but this chop… is awful, this hairstyle is absolutely no shape.

Appointment of last week for styled short cut with “hair specialist” resulted in the most unfavorable result yet. In all probability , the young lady titled as one of the salons” specialists” is nice , but more extensive training strongly recommended , as far as cutting /styling of short hair is concerned.

I took my daughters for an updated cut and style- before school. Both ladies were great and my daughters had a great experience. They walked out looking fabulous- their hair looked great. It was the same style by 2 different hairstylists and they both did fantastic! Definitely coming back. Price was good too

This salon has by far exceeded my expectations for service and quality, the receptionist and all the hairdressers were very friendly, upon arrival I was given a menu of cocktails and coffee as a complimentary drink. (The iced coffee was good) and was assigned Wendy as my hairdresser, she was super sweet and ensured that I walked out with the exact cut I came in to get. Definitely will be returning for future cuts or colors !

One of the hairstylist cut my hair wrong, when I asked her to fix it, she became upset and rude. It took someone else to come explain that I was right because she was upset and said I was wrong. Expensive and bad service! I can’t believe she got upset when she had to fix what was not done right! Do not recommend! My hair is still not fixed because she refused to do it right! Worst service ever!

Great customer service, but I’ve left 2 times without liking my hair color. Everyone seems very new and young besides 2 workers who are always booked. I was having breakage and she kept on trying to hide it. Never had a test strand on my hair to make sure all the product wasn’t going to fry my hair, looked like she just wanted to be done. My hair is naturally dark but I have been dying it for 2 years blonde. I asked to go back to brown since I had enough root growth. Tell me why I left even more blonde with hot root and paid $400 and never disclosed the amount before hand how they usually do it? I’ve given them 3 chances and this last time I’m done.

I wish I could give 5 stars. I went to 209 about a month ago. I needed to fix the mullet another stylist had given me. Thankfully, Wendy, my stylist at 209, was amazing! She cut my hair the way I wanted it and I went back for a trim a few weeks later. I went again this week to get some color. Wendy was thorough and walked me through the whole thing, including the price of the service. We had agreed on a specific figure. However, the price I was asked to pay at the register was definitely more than what we had agreed. I was suspicious but trusted that maybe I had forgotten about the taxes and their (ridiculous) credit card fee. The receptionist called me 5 min after I had left and asked me to come back. They had charged me the wrong amount. Phew! I went back expecting a refund or for the initial transaction to be canceled so I could pay the right amount. Unfortunately, the numbers were not adding up and the receptionist let me know that I actually had to pay an extra $50. What?! The owner was called. Nothing was resolved. I was told to “go home, the owner will give you a call.” There was no call. Is the staff not empowered to make these kinds of decisions for the salon? It’s unfortunate that my initially wonderful experience was tarnished by the incompetence of the owner and the lack of communication skills from the staff. The only reason this review is not 1 star is because of my stylist Wendy. If you decide to go to this salon make sure everyone is on the same page about the price.

Do not recommend. I made an appointment online and arrived early first time read the reviews thought it was a good place to show up and I requested a pixie Bob the lady that they put with me so she didn’t know how to do that and that there was only one other person that knew how to do that, they gave me back my refund and that was that very unprofessional. I’m not sure how a hairstylist can’t do more than one style and can only do long haircuts.
