I've been going to Studio 27 for the past year now, I've seen a few different hair stylists but Roger is by far the best (in my opinion) his creative vision and mastery at hair is truly worth the price. Would HIGHLY recommend to any considering!!

This was my first curly cut and Sofia changed my life with her expertise and care. She's a passionate professional with extensive knowledge and I can't wait to visit her again. Also their pricing is the best I've found in the city!

I've had my hair done twice because of miscommunication and indecisiveness on my part. However the stylists were really professional and nice about retouching my hair. They were very professional and sweet that they didn't charge me a second time. The stylists, Vivian and Sophie, were really sweet and informative of styling hair, I for one am a beginner of it so it was really helpful. I recommend them both.

My first time at a salon and had a great experience. Having long curly hair that was a mess, Junior not only cut and fixed it, he walked me through the processes to properly maintain it. It was essentially a class that I sorely needed. If your a dude with hair you don't know what to do with, give him a call, I'll absolutely be back to see him again.

There aren’t enough stars for this salon and Roger the owner. The best experience I’ve ever had at any salon, ever. I came in with my hair a complete mess after being completely ripped off by previous hair dresser. I was initially assigned to a junior stylist but Roger who was finishing up with another client next to us saw what a mess my hair was and decided to take over. He corrected my color /did beautiful highlights and educated me on everything to do with extensions. I told him about my traumatic experience of being charged $2000 to end up with improperly installed poor quality hair that as I found out was not even real hair. He completely took care of me and reassured me I was in good hands from now on and I could tell I was. It was a breath of fresh air to know my fragile hair was in the hands of an expert. I loved the highlights , color etc and the extensions were amazing quality. He made suggestions along the way and I couldn’t be more happy with my hair when he was done. Pricing was very clear and though it was a bit more than I’ve been used to paying, after receiving services I understand why. I would say to anyone who may be nervous about the price , just do it it’s so worth it!! As someone who personally thought I could save a few dollars by going with someone less experienced I realized first hand the value of using a true professional and my regret is not doing so sooner. The products they use are themselves more costly as they protect your hair rather than stripping it. My hair was actually in better condition after he had done the highlights and that was unexpected. In regards to the $50 booking deposit for new clients I saw it as a plus as it told me they have respect for both my time and theirs. If you are looking for a new salon this is the place! Thank you Roger for rescuing my hair!

I love this place so much! I never get my hair done at salons but I really wanted to go lighter on my hair. PS my hair had lots of hair dye from years of doing it at home. Robert the guy who did my hair got me to my color without damaging my hair. I was in shock this place is AMAZING, you want your hair dyed go here!!!! Also everyone is super friendly!

I went to get a simple trim to even up some areas that I couldn't get quite right at home. I went in and booked with Vivian and she messed up my bangs and face framing, I had an undercut that she said was straight but that got totally messed up as well. Even my sideburns are super uneven. Everything is uneven now and is worse than before and I have way less hair to work with to fix it. I thought everything looked okay at the salon, but I didn't have my glasses nor did I get much time to actually look at anything because they heavily rush the process. Don't waste your money here.

It was very prof and I was so pleased. I must admit I was little nervous cause it’s been awhile since I had it done but wanted it done right. They did ! Roger and Brianna were fantastic. They both asked me what I want and explained color to me showed me diff samples of color. I trusted them and I’m so glad I did. Thank you for taking the time and making me look good and young again. I love it. So 5stars. Studio 27 is the best. Affordable and just all around great service. Thank you again. See y’all 4 weeks ☺️

Ive done a couple of services with Sofia Cohen- she is absolutely amazing. Ive had a touch up- toner- cut- full hair color dye- blow out- the rinse is heaven - the results are always amazing , she leaves me feeling like an absolute goddess ༘🦋⋆｡˚ the place is very clean and comfortable, they have complimentary drinks which is nice if you are going to be there a while!

Not only did they take me and my daughter in last minute they are also Absolutely outstanding !!!! The owner Roger definitely took note as to what I wanted. He went above and beyond 😍. Consistently asking questions to make sure the job was done right. Vivian took care of my 3 year old daughter’s hair and she was amazing!! She was so patient and understanding with her. She made sure she did not get overwhelmed 🫶🏽 we will definitely coming back

Oh. My. Goodness. STOP the presses right now. This hair salon is THE best salon I have ever been to in my life. I came in with a grown-out botched haircut from a woman who spent fifteen minutes on my hair at a salon I didn’t review. Brianna, my stylist, asked me what I was looking for and, to ensure that the cut was exactly what I had been looking for, she brought the owner, Roger, by to consult as well, since my hair was in dire straits. I have never felt more cared for in a personal service setting, and that is saying something! The products were exquisite, the curated playlist was immaculate, and the service was extraordinary. If you want to get Hollywood-level hair and you’re not sure where to go, Studio 27 is the spot. PLEASE go here if you can!

I just moved to San Antonio and was looking for a new stylist—so glad I found Roger at Studio 27 Hair Salon! For my first visit, he worked absolute magic with my hair. I came in hoping for a fresh look, and Roger delivered! He transformed my color from light blonde to a beautiful dark red, and his expertise with coloring was obvious. I also asked for bangs, and he cut them perfectly. He also did the butterfly haircut, and it looks incredible. Roger was incredibly informative, friendly, and professional throughout the appointment, making sure I was comfortable with every step. I’m thrilled with my hair and definitely plan on coming back. Highly recommend Roger if you’re looking for someone talented and trustworthy!

I started coming to this salon at the beginning of the year after trying various different salons. Let me just say, the customer service and ambience is superior to any hair salon I have visited in SA. My hairstylist Sofia is super knowledgeable on hair treatment, and makes great suggestions on what to follow. They have a long term customer in me ☺️, totally recommend this salon. Give it a try and you will not go elsewhere.

Cannot say enough good things about Kassandra! I went in last week and ended up not loving it, totally my fault for not communicating exactly what I wanted…went back today and told her what I wanted with pics and she nailed it! Easily my favorite hair color ever!

I needed someone to take my tape-in extensions out ASAP, they were able to get me in the day after I called and my stylist was lovely!! Her name is Sophia i believe and she taught me so much about my curls. Everyone else in the salon were great as well and super nice. The shop itself is very aesthetically pleasing and easy to locate. I will for sure be back for all my other services in the future!!

I've been getting my hair colored at this salon by Roger for about 10 years now and couldn't be happier with the results! Always turns out great and exactly as expected. He always comes up with a great way to style my hair as well for amazing photos

Roger is amazing! He is so knowledgeable and answered my thousand questions. He truly cares for his craft and my haircut definitely shows. No lie, I got hit on when I went to get food after. Roger’s haircut manifested that for me. Love this place!

They do well with the hair services, but they are very overpriced, and charged $400 for a cut and color. They are also not to be trusted. If you are a first time customer, they demand your credit card info and charge a deposit. Then they say that is added onto your bill, but they charged it separately. Then they talk you into setting up a future appointment to touch up your color, claiming the initial deposit is a one-time thing, and if you need to cancel the second follow-up appointment, there won't be any charge. We'll, I had to cancel, called to do so the day before, and had to leave a voice mail. Then they charged me a $75 cancelation fee. This studio lost my trust, and a customer. Never give them your card info. They keep it on file, and engage in unauthorized charges. I never authorized it, and they never told me there was a 24-hour window for cancelations. Nothing was in writing. Lesson learned.

Made appointment. Told the girl what I wanted. Paid 50 nonrefundable deposit. Got to the appointment and they only had me down for one of the 3 services I scheduled. Then the "owner" came up with a bunch of excuses on why he couldn't do certain things to my hair. Absolute incompetence. Just a salon full of children that can't do anything more than the basics. Avoid at all costs. Not worth the money. Better off going to great clips. Read your response. Just an FYI. You can't tell the difference between box color and salon color. My wife has always had her hair professionally colored at a salon. She's never used the box. You should always ask a client instead of assuming they've done it at home.

Review update! This time I went to Roger. He was so cool and did a great job on my hair! We had a great time talking about our kids and partners. He made the experience great! 10 out of 10 will recommend this salon to others and will continue to be a loyal customer! Cassandra was awesome. She was friendly, proffessional and I felt really comfortable. She did a really great job on my hair! Thank you Cassandra!

By far the BEST salon in San Antonio! Roger and the staff are very knowledgeable in all their services. They truly care about the integrity of your hair. They are very professional and it’s a great atmosphere. I had very damaged and frail thin hair and Roger did a total transformation by installing Bellami hair extensions and I couldn’t be any happier! Highly recommend and if I could give 10 stars ⭐️ I would!

I love this place! I have very long, naturally curly(3b) hair so I’m weary about people touching it. My first apt was a blowout for a photoshoot which came out amazing & I explained my future plans to do some blonde balayage and also my fears about curl damage. After a great first experience, I trusted that My hair tech, Alabama, was trustworthy with making my hair dreams come true and we went blonde! I couldn’t be happier with the results and the customer service provided to me by the entire team at Studio 27! (First pics are from my blowout, 2nd pics are from my color apt.)

I received a haircut and blowout from Sofia and she did so well! She does a great job with telling you about what your hair needs and educating you on how to achieve what you want! Sofia was also detailed and very precise with my cut which I really appreciated! I’m excited to go back!

I went in for a men’s longer haircut. I asked for flow with a mullet-type style, as I have been growing my hair out for months for this specific haircut. My haircut did not match what I had asked for. I have gotten better for a lot cheaper.
