I used to love this place but after 2 bad haircuts I'm no longer a customer. For years I've gotten the same haircut. I came in for a trim + framing and specifically showed my hairdresser with my hands what I did and did not want - and I did not want a horizontal cut shown in the picture. I understand misunderstandings happen but I did not appreciate what I perceived to be gaslighting after the mistake about the shape of my head or told that this cut is better than what I asked for. I disagree and I'm upset.

Worst haircut I’ve ever gotten. I had to go to another salon to get it fixed because it was so uneven and choppy. I tried to get a refund and the woman I spoke to on the phone was so rude, wouldn’t let me finish my sentences and kept cutting me off. I told her I had photos to show and asked to speak to the manager and he was coincidentally “out of the country” for the next month- which would then be past the time of when I could get the refund.

Ben did a great job to my hair as he did for the last 2 years. I wanted a nice cherry color to my hair, and that's exactly what he did. My hair looks amazing. Thank you, Ben .

I noticed a woman with hair that looked the way I wanted mine to look. She told me she came to studio 34. I walked in as I was in the area. Spoke with Atriz. I took a chance and was I happy. She is patient, listens and gives suggestions. I love, love my hair. I have been back twice. It’s a beautiful clean salon with a nice staff. Atriz is my new go to for hair! Prices are reasonable for midtown and not rushed. I highly recommend Atriz

Could not recommend this salon more if I tried! Came here after a botched job elsewhere and they went ABOVE and BEYOND to get me the perfect color. I don’t typically write reviews but the customer service I received should be recognized. Truly blown away by my hair and the whole team at Studio 34, special shoutout to Gary and Velibore for being the absolute best.

My sister raved about this salon after her great experience with Natasha, so I decided to give it a try today. So glad I did because Natasha did such an amazing job with my hair, giving me exactly the look the I wanted. Definitely coming back!

Needed a last minute blowout and Atriz saved my day. She made my hair so bouncy and beautiful and she did it with ease! I’m so happy with how my hair came out. Had an amazing haircut, color, and blowout with Atriz. I wanted to go darker but was worried about going too dark and not being able to keep up with my roots. Atriz’s suggestions were really helpful and she took into account the look I was going for as well as the maintenance I was willing to do at home. She created exactly the style that I wanted; it is the perfect mix of edgy and sophisticated while still looking natural. Also, the salon was beautiful and took me (a walk-in) right away. Best hair experience I’ve ever had.

I contacted this salon as they advertise offering magic sleek and proaddiction and told them I want a consult to see which is better for my hair - was told no problem. I get there and they don’t have proaddiction, tell me they can do magic sleek. OK. From my research I thought there was a last finisher step so I asked multiple times and told no there isn’t. Fast forward a few eeeks and it’s as if I had nothing done. I contact magic sleek and they said the last step is critical for treatment to work. I contact my stylist who confirmed she didn’t do this step. I email salon- no answer. Went on vacation and called when I got back. Rude receptionist tells me they don’t check email (so why is it on your website?) and that I should have come in person within 1 week ( this is a 6 month treatment how should I have known within one week that they messed up? Why is it my responsibility to teach them how to do the treatment?). Beta of all she tells me that I paid Zelle so that o can’t dispute it ( they insisted on cash). Total scam and no customer service.

My short cut was stylish, effective and service was fast and friendly and reasonably priced. Garry gave me a great short cut that was very easy to manage and it made me feel really good and topped my holiday in NYC...it still looks great 4 weeks on growing out elegantly, thank you and best of luck from Ireland

Sam has singlehandedly saved my hair and been professional, timely, and kind while doing it. He is easy to schedule with, efficient during our appointments, and truly passionate about his work. I can't recommend him enough! I've since sent 5 of my friends to him and each one has loved their experience.

This place is an easy stop for good quality hair treatment and the customer service is golden. I did the Olaplex treatment and blowout last time. Really great people and clean atmosphere. Stopped by a few times for blowouts and trims- it’s really close to my gym. Atriz does her work with her heart; she is super thorough, sincere, and her humble, welcoming energy is refreshing in a hair salon setting in midtown east. She was very informative on my hair health and on products like the Oribe line that would work for my frizzy/wavy hair. Platina at front desk was also the best energy and efficient- she had no hesitation at all in getting me in as a walk-in. I’ll see you guys again soon! 🫶🏻

I'm in the city part-time and had a lunch scheduled nearby. I knew I needed to get my hair toned but I wanted to find something in the area. After a quick Google search, I came upon Studio 34. Scheduling: Super easy. They were so attentive and kind on the phone. It already made me feel confident about coming here Wash/Shampoo: I did not get the name of the kind woman who washed my hair (I came in yesterday, Thursday around 2 pm). But she was wonderful! Wash was perfect, I was so comfortable and my hair is the softest it's ever been and I can't stop smelling it. And I've been to dozens of salons. WHAT DID SHE DO!? HAHAH! Shout out to her excellent care and attentiveness. Toning: Eric was my hair stylist and did a WONDERFUL job. Was thorough on explaining what he was doing with my hair (I've had toning done before but I still appreciated him going through the process), made me feel comfortable and was very kind/friendly! I'm so mad I didn't take a before and after photo. Hair was BRASSY Orange when I came in, and left with it ashy blonde, just perfect! I felt very comfortable with my hair in his hands and he made my appointment enjoyable! Eric, thank you so much!
