I have been going to Studio 3.6 for some time now. I always feel welcomed on arrival and feel that my needs are cared about, considered, and met. The staff is always friendly and Leah has done a fantastic job with my hair. I always appreciate her advice and professionalism and couldn’t be happier with the result.

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences here! Leah has saved my hair more than once, from bad coloring experiences to when I decided I could cut my own hair. She did so without judgement or shaming. She’s also so knowledgeable about which product to use at home and how to make my color last. She works fast, so you’re not in there all day, but she is meticulous. Her prices are quite reasonable and she will squeeze you in in case of emergency. I saw Leah today for a haircut and five different people complimented me throughout the day afterwards. I regularly get compliments on my color, and I happily recommend her to anyone.

I have never been this happy about my hair style and color in 52 years! Marissa was my stylist and she is AMAZING! She foiled my hair, cut and styled it. I also had my eyebrows done and again beyond expectations. I have found my forever stylist!

I've been going to this salon for several months now and travel 2 hours each direction because I prefer going here so much. Marissa and her team mates never sease to amaze with their professionalism and level of skill. Marissa took me from long roots and fading purple to a vibrantly recolored queen. The experience always makes the drive worth it and i never leave less than 100 percent happy

I’m really disappointed by my experience here at Studio 3.6. I went to get my roots bleached and after three hours, I’m brassy yellow and dried out, and very very frustrated. I called the salon to make sure they could work on my hair ahead of time, I told my hairdresser how my hair reacts to bleach, and still my hair is a complete mess. I’m embarrassed to walk around town. Not only is the bleach job completely botched, but my hairdresser used a heat and a comb on my fragile, heavily bleached hair. My ends are frayed and I have the texture of straw. This was the biggest waste of money I’ve had in a minute and I’m definitely going to go back to just bleached my hair myself. Their service is nice and the employees seem like kind people, but be careful coming here if you want light hair, they just can’t deliver.

I’ve been going to Leah since she was at a different salon and have followed her ever since (almost 4 years). Her coloring skills are amazing, I started with balayage and have done highlights ever since. The color is always perfect, she does a great and professional job. The one time I did it absolutely love my root coloring she immediately brought me in to fix it. The Salon is nice and comfortable as well. I’ve referred 3 other people to her as well.

Katie was my stylist and she did a fantastic job cutting my hair into a short pixie cut. She asks a lot of questions and she listens to you. Great experience! If you arrive at night the entrance can be a little hard to find. The building looks abandoned but there are signs up that point you to go around the corner to the left, down an alley and to the door to the salon.

Leah has been amazing in helping me achieve the blonde I’ve been looking for over the last year and a half. I’ve been in and out of the country so my schedule has certainly made her job difficult in terms of giving me what I want as quick as possible. She keeps it real with a no nonsense approach to things and does an amazing job! 10/10 recommend

Leah is incredibly talented, creative, professional. Plus, she is very personable, and fun. I felt very comfortable with her and got an awesome short hair cut where she layered my hair beautifully. Leah pays attention to what you want, asks lovely questions and truly cares. What a pleasure to get a cut from her!

Leah is the only stylist I’ve seen since I moved to Charlottesville four and a half years ago, and she’s absolutely amazing. I think my hair looks better than it ever has, and I’m into my second half-century! The secret to exceptional service is to know what you want before you go. The better you articulate the look you want, the more likely Leah can achieve it for you. I’m very happy with my hair style. Leah is the best!

Salon 3.6 is the best! I’ve had several cuts and colors there by Marissa and Leah, but from what I can tell you can’t go wrong with any of the stylists! I love the process from start to finish; they give thoughtful consultations beforehand and I always appreciate their advice. I’m pretty picky about my color—I like reds that are interesting but still natural looking—and I always adore the final look they give me. I usually run errands immediately after my cut and color and, without fail, I get unprompted compliments from strangers!

Chris Carter is amazing! He does an amazing fade and his attention to detail is exceptional! He takes care of my brows, neckline, collar line, and anything else without me even asking. My cut is always perfectly blended and on point! I would definitely recommend him!

I recently got a lot of length taken off and had balayage done by Leah at this salon. It was the best haircut I've ever gotten! She did such an amazing job and knew just what length and what color/amount of color would look best. I am so happy with my haircut and would highly recommend Leah to anyone!

I was tired of going to the corporate style hair salon around town, because the vibe is so uncomfortable. Leah's place has a great atmosphere, on time, professional work, and I walk out feeling great about how good my hair looks. They are also taking all the measures during this time to ensure that the customer and staff are staying safe and healthy. Highly recommend this studio to everyone!

I’ve been here a few times since I moved from Richmond to Charlottesville a year ago, and it’s by far the best salon I’ve ever been to. Ashlee absolutely nailed my last cut - she listened to what I wanted and repeated it back to me to make sure we were on the same page! And she asked me several times throughout to give her feedback on what she was doing, and let her know if I wanted her to change anything. It made me feel like my cut was JUST FOR ME and I am so confident with my haircut. Huge note - my layers look so blended and gorgeous, clearly she knew what she was doing! The team wore masks the entire time and followed COVID rules. I felt very safe and pampered. They were also laughing with me and their coworkers and they even vocalized a few times how much they loved working there. 100% recommend this place and I can’t wait to visit again in the future/bring my boyfriend to get his hair cut!
