If you are between salons, like I was, and looking for a sign. Here is your sign to pick Studio J!! I am so so happy I found Jan. I am extremely cautious with my hair and already had major damage going in. Jan was so reassuring and knew how to help me with my hair damage! I was so scared to get my hair done and make it worse but she managed to bring it back to life.🥹🥹 She was also extremely welcoming and brought a comfort like I’ve known her forever.

By far the best hair salon in New Tampa! If you are someone that has multicultural curls and looking for a hairstylist that can color your hair without damaging your beautiful curls. Then I highly recommend seeing Jan at Studio J! Jan is amazing and such a sweet woman. She took her time working with my curls, her personality and conversations makes you feel as if your best friends, and let me tell you my curls look so defined; I am so in love with my new hair color/highlights. I’ll definitely will continue coming to studio J and booking with Jan.

I haven’t had my hair done in years and was super nervous about trusting someone, Jan did an amazing job of putting me at ease right away. She addressed all my concerns and did a fabulous job explaining my options . We decided on highlights and cut and it turned out amazing. I was super impressed with how fast and efficient she was. Already booked my next appointment and can’t wait to be back.

Stop looking for a stylist and just go see Jan at Studio J!! She always gives an amazing haircut/color for a reasonable price and she’s so fun to chat with that the time flies by. Her expertise is clear and she really takes the time to understand what your hair goals are. She’ll listen well, but will also be honest with you if what you envision isn’t going to work with your hair or if the daily maintenance isn’t feasible for your lifestyle which I so appreciate! I moved from Tampa over 6 years ago and still book a flight back to see Jan whenever I need my hair done.

Jan did an amazing job on my hair! I went with an idea and really unsure of how to express what I wanted but she was able to piece together what I wanted. I am extremely happy with my hair and Jan was so kind and patient with me! Also the other stylist Jackie was so kind and sweet too! Its not one of those places that you go in and feel like a number; they were warm and welcoming. I am now a client for life😃

Jan is amazing. Her passion shines through her work! She really took the time to get to know me. She understood my personality and lifestyle so that was taken into consideration when we decided on my style together. Well, I have no idea what I’m doing honestly so she just took my vision and worked her magic! We finally got there and it turned out perfect. As this was my first super short cut, she took it slow with me. I got home and decided I was ready to take the plunge to an even shorter cut and she squeezed me right into her next availability. We are on this adventure together and she always makes me feel so good about myself. Jan will welcome you with open arms and you'll feel like a princess when you are in her chair. I love how she doesn't overbook and she really manages her time well too. It shows she values your time and her art. I finally found "my girl." I will never visit another stylist or salon.

This salon is a great experience all around! I don’t do well with stylist because it’s so hard to find one that is just for you. However, Jan made the whole experience amazing through and through. My hair looked and felt better than it had in a year or better and I booked two follow up appointments! This salon is a great small business feel and I could not say enough good things about this woman, her salon and the experience she provides!

I would highly recommend Studio J and will definitely be returning. Jan styled and colored my hair exactly how I asked, and it turned out amazing! (1st hairstylist of 4 since I’ve lived in Tampa who actually did my hair as I asked... not how they wanted). The salon was sleek and classy, yet still had a very peaceful atmosphere where I felt truly relaxed. Everyone I encountered was welcoming, friendly, and polite. Overall great experience!

I'm sorry I will never visit there again maybe the other ladies was nice but they were way too expensive for a simple job the lady charged me $58 for a $15 haircut maybe 20 I was shocked and on top of that she had shaky hands but everything was closed because quarantine they were open we were like give him a chance nah if you are looking for a good reasonable haircut they're not the place to go

So happy! I got busy and went too long without a trim, my hair was unmanageable. Jan trimmed the ends and then layered it to perfection. I actually look forward to fixing my hair now. =)

Cathy is my stylist here and I cannot say enough positive things about her. I have been going to her for over a year now, and the first visit she scheduled time for getting to know "my hair." We looked at pictures, colors. She is DEFINITELY an EXPERT in her field, and I'm so glad I found her....and so is my hair 😄

I love the color and cut Jan gives me every time. U come south for the winter months. I make my hair appointment with Jan so that as soon as I arrive she can do my hair. When I leave in the spring one of the last things I do is visit Jan for a cut and color. She's the best!

I met Jan 2 yrs ago. She’s great with color and cut. She did exactly what I asked her and I’m always happy with my color and cut!!! The salon is very clean, cute and elegant. Staff is nice and friendly Her prices are great and she has great personality!
