Studio Raw is a fabulous salon for many reasons, and this text box is not large enough for me to share all the positive things I'd like to say about Dawson! Not only is he one of the kindest people I've ever met, but his passion and knowledge for the industry is also unmatched. I have struggled with my hair for years, and he made me so comfortable and renewed my confidence very quickly at my initial consultation and with my haircut/extensions. He goes above and beyond during each appointment to listen to my questions, give feedback, and create a wonderful experience. Now, I will be a client for life and could not imagine going anywhere else! Thank you SO much Studio Raw, and Dawson!

Studio Raw is a vibing place with a very West coast feel; it's very airy, with an open bar and plenty of snacks while you wait - often the staff even makes fresh brownies for clients! The owner Dan is directly involved with the stylists and continues to man his own station, and designed the building from the ground up utilizing his knowledge and 18 years in the industry - and it shows. VERY highly recommended, and you can book online. Give them a try!

I cannot rant and rave more about this place! But mainly DAWSON!!! He is an absolute angel in this world. Dawson has knocked my hair out of the park every time! He takes a solid 25 minutes to speak with you about what you want, talks you through everything and educates you! I haven’t had my hair “short” since I was around 10 years old and he transformed my hair to fit my face and if I get started on the color I’ll be typing another paragraph- its fabulous!!! I haven’t stopped getting compliments! He’s a 10/10 therapist and a 1000000000/10 hair stylist! I can’t recommend him or this amazing place more!

Could not recommend this salon more!! 11/10. This was my first time at this salon and I had the most pleasant experience. I had such a warm greeting immediately upon entering and was giving a tour of the space. There are an array of amenities to provide you with whatever you need and keep you comfortable while you wait. Heather was my stylist and she was amazing. It's so easy to feel anxious with a new stylist, but she made me feel at ease, as I could tell she was very experienced and educated. After the consultation, she was able to fit me right in for a bleaching appointment right after the consult. Heather was so nice, friendly, and easy to talk to. She NAILED my hair. Like the best bleach I've ever had. Could not recommend her and this salon more. I will 100% be back next time I need a cut or color, she absolutely slayed them both.

Dan and his team are top notch!!! Best salon in Pittsburgh!! Whether you need a fresh cut or a new color, I highly recommend checking out Studio Raw Elite. They also are wonderful about recommending products that would work good for your hair.

Rachel made all of my hair dreams come true! This is the second time I’ve been to studio raw and the whole experience is amazing. Rachel really listened to what I was looking for and took her time giving me an amazing cut and color. (She also did my brows!) I love this salon, the atmosphere, and the prices reasonable too.

Came there with my senior client. It was a bit too much for her (music and greeting). But the stylist was wonderful and my client said she styled it perfectly. Overall a good experience except for the loud music and over enthusiastic greeter. I can see the attraction though as the whole concept is great for younger folks.

I called requesting a stylist who was good with long curly hair several weeks prior to an appointment for my 16 year old daughter. We were directed to schedule with Alexis. My daughter brought pictures of what she wanted. My daughter is shy and soft spoken. Her hair ended up being cut nothing like the pictures and much shorter than she wanted. My daughter is devastated & I am very disappointed. I had hoped a seasoned stylist would have been aware that this was a drastic change for a 16 year old and to proceed slowly and not cut the curls too short, knowing the hair would spring up.

I had the best salon experience of my life here with stylist Dawson! He was super sweet, thorough, knowledgeable, communicative and extremely skilled!!! Helped me reach my almost impossible seeming hair goals, couldn’t have done it without him! Got exactly what I wanted and he did everything he could to make sure my hair was as healthy as it could be as well. I couldn’t be happier! Photos are before and after! ❤️

Was fit in last minute for a consultation & Saturday appointment with Rachel. They helped walk me through what was needed to fix the hot mess I had going on (lol) & helped me figure out what colors would work. I love the end result! Going on my honeymoon soon, can't wait to show it off!

highly recommend studio raw!! the salon itself is gorgeous, the receptionists were very friendly, and cynthia did such an amazing job working with my curly hair! i’ve avoided getting a cut for almost two years, because it’s always scary letting someone work with my curls, but cynthia was patient, knowledgeable, and i left with a cut that was perfect!! highly recommend, and already booked my next appointment 🫶🏼
