I had a really great experience! Walked in without an appointment, and got one with Vanessa (upstairs) - and what can I say, she was amazing! I went from long to a bob, but with fine hair it takes a really good stylist to make it right, and she did wonders! I'm super happy with the result, after a detailed consultation, had a wonderful time and she gave me amazing tips for what styling products suit my hair! Definitely recommend her and the salon, very good vibe, very friendly people, and Vanessa is a really skilled hair stylist.

Currently visiting family in Santa Barbara after having lived here for 22 years. No matter where I move, it will be tough for any salon to match Studio S. My stylist for multiple years has been Nise Baker. If you want hair that makes everyone on the streets do a double take, she's your girl. People that seek out a well preforming hair stylist are picky with their hair. Fact. I am no different from this crowd, and likely worse. Despite how emotional, picky and confusing I can be about my hair, Nise is receptive and caring. Her demeanor allows my experience at Studio S to feel as though I am not far away from the comforts of my own home. Overall, this studio is clean and beautiful. They have also exposed me to amazing products and priceless hair care knowledge. Every stylist is beyond friendly as they offer coffee, water, snacks and smiles. I hope this studio never closes down as it would be tough to find anything that comes close.

Returned a call even though I hadn't left a message, gave me multiple stylist options and reccomended Vanessa for my short hair, after I explained that I had a very bad cut a few months ago. Vanessa was amazing! She talked me through what exactly I liked, and really knew what she was doing. She did an incredible job and I will be back as long as I am in and around SB. If you have short hair and specific likes, or need someone who's good with pixies and such, Vanessa is incredible. 11/10!!

Visited Studio S today to have my daughters hair cut . Cindy is so amazing she always does such a wonderful job. Even when she has a twitching child like my daughter in her chair.

I am made to feel welcome at Studio S. Nise Baker is the BEST! Being a fine artist / painter, she really has the "eye." She creates a stylish cut for me and my fine whispy hair that looks great out the door, and 2 months later, it looks even better. (miracle!) She's got the talent for shaping and getting the lines right for the base cut, so that it naturally lays smart, stylish and grows out fabulously.

I wanted to go from a dark red/black to an ashy/silver blonde. Erika my stylist was amazing! She did my rooty ombré in 7 hours all in one sitting with just two bleach sessions. My hair felt really normal afterward--which was the most amazing part.

Vanessa has been my stylist for about 10 years now. She is always thinking of new and fresh ideas, keeps up on her own education and incorporates the new techniques in the industry to whatever style we're working towards. She'll never lead you in a bad direction and she's not afraid to tell you when "it's just...eh"

I was at a stage in my life where I really was wanting a change. I was a way too blonde, blonde! I had heard about the owner Alexis and decided to give it a try. She was very informative. She added a dark blonde and light brown to my hair and gave me a great bang cut. She also deep conditioned my hair. She taught me how to take care of my hair better and gave me many tips. I felt like a new person leaving the salon. I received many compliments and will always be a long time customer. It was very hard to entrust a change into someone's hands and she made me feel great. Now I know why I schedule my appointments in advance. She is a very popular stylist and obviously in demand. I started to get my spray tans at Studio S as well and now I feel complete when I leave the salon ;)
