I am utterly disappointed and appalled by the unprofessionalism displayed by your business. I booked services well in advance for my sister and nephew for **today, December 26, 2024**, yet your establishment was inexplicably closed when we arrived at 9 a.m. I called immediately and left a voicemail, hoping for clarification. Upon returning home, I called again and heard a voicemail stating that you were reopening on 12/26. Clinging to that hope, I drove back, only to find the place still closed. When I called a third time, the voicemail had been updated—this time stating you are closed until 12/27. This entire ordeal has been beyond frustrating. Your lack of communication and failure to manage bookings properly is unacceptable. Not only did this disrupt our plans for family photos (as both individuals still need services), but it also wasted significant time and effort on a busy holiday week. Your business’s actions—or rather, lack thereof—speak volumes about its priorities. Failing to honor confirmed appointments, providing inconsistent information, and making no effort to notify customers is an egregious lapse in professionalism. I sincerely hope you reflect on the unnecessary inconvenience and stress you’ve caused and take immediate steps to prevent this from happening to others.

Man listen. I wouldn’t go here. I sent a review via square app and was called. Per the owner / instructor I discouraged the student stylist with my review which stated “ price was not what was quoted and the time as well as the time frame, people can go to the Dominican shops. Here’s the issue, I spared a lot of comments to focus on the bottom line but let me set a list. Had to be moved twice because dryers are spare, dummy heads in them or broken down, areas that shouldn’t have hair did. Floors dirty in dryer area and styling area. Music with plenty of cursing ( however this is such a professional place) students curse in conversation ( student with the red wig). Advice : The phone call is what was the No no as a said professional and instructor your bottom line should have been “tell me how this can be made right ? Or Tell me your experience. She told me I had a state of the art cut not trim. I left the shop looking like Edna from Incredible kid movie. The professional that called stated that they use quality products , let’s not insult my intelligence , those are Tracy Ross products ma’am please stop the dramatics . Take the L, train your students better and you; the instructor Ms K or Ms Kitty ? Be professional and don’t call customers that paid with no issue , never questioning the student and no scene. I'm not sure why but every time I go here I'm at a stressful place in my life. Perhaps that's why I go to get that stress washed away with healthy products that smell good in my hair lol. These ladies always treat me with so much respect and patience, some of them are like family at this point. Very respectful staff, hard-working students that do amazing hair. Me and my daughter's hair is a force to be reckoned with very thick very curly a lot going on, but they always pull through, handle us with care and do an excellent job my daughter just got an amazing wash and press and I just got THEE BEST RETWIST on my Locs. And the prices are pretty straight, pretty fair and affordable. I didn't take immediate pictures this time my infant was crying but like I said everybody was still patient with me and allowed was going on but I go every month I will definitely do an update!

Absolutely loved my experience!! I went for a blow out, and Nikita killed it, in little over an hour. The results were perfect ♥️ I normally don’t trust anyone with my natural tresses but I absolutely loved it. Nice atmosphere, professional group of ladies, and the woman who’s in charge runs it the right way. I will be back.

Awesome day at Style Mobb. This was my first visit, but will not be the last. My first time doing a quick weave.......so cute and natural looking. The instructors were very welcoming, and my stylist, Deja, gave me what I wanted and more . Definitely see Deja when you go. Laid chile!!!! 🎉🥰Thank you ladies. Great value, great price. Hidden gem.

Tiffan'e Nicol is the best!!!! She is VERY knowledgable and professional. She did a wonderful job on my hair from start to finish and gave me great hair care tips & recommendations I can use. Tiffane is amazing! She is extremely knowledgeable and professional. My hair is natural. She styled it so beautifully. I am pleased with my hair and the service is excellent! Everyone that I have worked with at the salon has been kind, friendly and professional! She has a wonderful team of stylists. I will be a regular customer and refer others as well! Beautician knows how to do hair weave extensions, but personal hair care treatments were not offered. The customer service was less than satisfactory. If you need a quick hair-do, definitely the place to stop. But a salon home: no way.

I had a really amazing experience at Style Mobb Studio. All of the employees/hairstylists there were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. I was a walk-in and just needed a wash and press. They were able to help me right away and I didn’t stay in the salon alllll day like some salons. They offer a bunch of other things like mink lash extensions and body cavitation. I’ll definitely be back. The salon space exceeded my expectations as well.

I’m a regular customer at this salon. I myself get my hair silk pressed and my hair is healthy & long pass mid back. I’ve taken my nieces for weaves and my nephews for locs & braided styles and I have yet to leave feeling over priced nor disliking the services I’ve received. I never thought to leave a review until today I googled the salon for the number and seen a couple reviews were people left 1 star or said mean things. I think we as “black people” make it very hard for our own to run a successful business. I’m proud to be a client of this salon, it’s beautiful, clean, good prices, educated stylists, and it’s always a good vibe. Great music, good conversation & beautiful hair. I hate that we judge our own so hard and expect them to work for pennies. I believe you pay for what you get. I love for my hair to be healthy... you can’t get quality and cheap prices in the same place. But $45 to $55 for a silk press is amazing and addition $20 for hydration treatments and trims is worth it for beautiful hair in a beautiful salon. I would give this salon 10 stars! Thank you Tiffane Nicol for bring your salon to the south side! I truly love this place and all of my family & friends I’ve referred here love it too.

Shelby is AMAZING, she is fast and efficient. Who can do three heads in 1hr and 30 min and each person walk out the door flossing. I love her my hair feels good and so do i two thumbs up. Highly recommend and it's near airport so I was able to catch my flight out on time.

Well I took my 11 yo for a wash and set and the girl tried to charge me $75 not to mention I left my child and came back an hour later and she still wasn't ready...apparently they stopped on her and took someone else......wow...never again...I try to support black owned business but things like this makes it hard🤦
