I finally had the chance to visit this salon after wanting to go for years! Even though it’s about an hour away, I decided the drive would be worth it—and wow, was I right! From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for something special. This wasn’t just a salon visit; it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I got a texture smoothing treatment and a shape haircut done by the incredible Samone. She was so kind, professional, and attentive, constantly checking in to make sure I was comfortable and addressing any questions I had about my hair. She took her time, and the results were stunning! I’m usually so careful about who touches my hair or uses heat on it, but with Samone, I felt completely at ease. She has such a gentle touch—I didn’t even feel the heat on my scalp, something I’ve never experienced before! I wholeheartedly recommend Samone; she truly knows her stuff and will make you feel amazing. And believe it or not, I just walked in without an appointment! I’ll definitely be back, even if it means making that long drive again—it’s worth every mile. Oh, and the products she recommended are next-level! My hair has never felt so moisturized. I especially love the moisturizing shampoo and the intense moisturizing mask—absolute lifesavers for dry hair. If you’re looking for top-notch care and expertise, look no further!

I drove 4 hours to visit Mrs. Shalleen at Style Queen Beauty and my experience was everything I hoped it would be. I am very particular about who touches my hair when it comes to professionalism, product knowledge and of course technique. She was gentle with her words, with her techniques and educated me throughout the entire process (from shampoo bowl to the salon chair) and she created a regimen for me on the spot to help my curls become more cultivated. I loved my flat twist style- it paired perfectly with my lifestyle and I was even able to get a fluffy defined set of curls after I took my flat twists out. I am excited for my next appointment and to see how my hair flourishes over time.

I was visiting my mom when I made the appointment for a new client service and it was so amazing I'm driving back for my follow up in January. I love in a very white town where there aren't many black salons so I'm so happy I booked with Shamecca! I can't wait to see my growth in the next year.

Nothing short of an exceptional experience! The ease of scheduling, carefully thought out hair treatments, and styling were all an amazing experience. Shalleen is very professional, accommodating, and has excellent customer service. I appreciate how thorough Shalleen is at explaining every step throughout the process and crafting a plan to continue good hair care habits at home with her Influance products. After cutting approximately 10 inches of relaxed hair, my natural hair journey has been a challenge. It’s not easy to find styles that will work for both my daily workout schedule as well as my job, but I’ve been very blessed with skilled hair stylists in my life that have taken good care of my hair. After going to Shalleen and being educated on natural hair practices I’ve finally found the perfect balance of natural hairstyles that work best for my fitness, work and play lifestyle! I’ve been able to complete workouts, and still show up in any setting with my beautiful natural style. I’m very thankful and appreciative to Shalleen! My next few appointments are already booked!

I leave in Texas so unfortunately I am not able to visit this salon. However, I do use the exact hair products from the influancehaircare line that Style Queen retails. She had an amazing black Friday sale and took that and ran and even tried some new products along with her detangling brush and 3 row comb and let me just say... the only styling tools you will need they are amazing! Ordering was super easy and everything came in a timely manner. I had one small issue with a couple products missing from my package and customer were fast at responding and making it right! I truly appreciate their service and offering quality products for us naturals. 100% recommend shopping with Style Queen and of course the salon if in the area. I wish I was there to take a visit! Thank you again!

I really enjoyed my hair appointment experience. I found the interaction to be professional, educational and thorough. In addition I love the take home care kit. The products were tailored to my hair needs. Not to mention, my hair and I loved the home care products. I'm very much looking forward to my next hair appointment❣️ This was definitely worth the 3 hour drive 🌟

I went there once back in August as a new client. I enjoyed my service but I have not been able to book a service there since. Not because they are “booked and busy” but they are working on a new scheduling system and it won’t be available till the next quarter. Ok cool. Next quarter and I get the same song and dance. I was hoping to find a natural hair salon where I can have a consistently biweekly appointment but sadly this isn’t that place. She does good service tho

If I could give 0 I would ..the website for products & owner difficult. Purchased over $100 in products and did not get free shipping after countless emails back and forth 😑 got code to use for next order and it wouldn't work. Contacted owner again back and forth over $10.00 she could have resolved by giving me credit but again back and forth with condescending emails. So I won't support this business , was purchasung comb and brushes for a friend and becase of the back and forth. She canceled my order..it's ok. Be petty you may not need my business I found detangling brush & comb on another website she didn't invent it. She gets it and re sells. I get it ..but in this economy you have choices on where & who to be loyal to its not about the money ..it's principle. Other businesses would have made it right. So she got a bad review over $10.00. Word of mouth is priceless! - you can't let someone do you wrong and not defend yourself. 💯

The environment is filled with good music, positive energy, plants and books that will make you feel inspired. The comfortable chairs will make you feel like royalty (every place you sit is so comfortable!) But most important, you’ll learn the science of hair. You’ll discuss the health of your hair and with regular appointments you’ll learn the science of YOUR hair. Upon checkout you can purchase the same professional quality hair products and tools to use at home. I follow the instructions given and purchase the recommended retail products to use in between my appointments. My daughter is also a client and we have learned so much in the process. This luxurious, clean and inspiring salon helps me feel empowered and beautiful every time I get my hair done.

Moving around every few years makes it hard when searching for that perfect hairstylist. I am so thankful I decided to trust Shalleen with my hair. She has a gift for growing healthy hair and has been an absolute God-send during my healthy hair journey. She is extremely knowledgeable about natural hair and is eager to share her expertise for her client’s benefit. Not to mention her flat twist are magical. Shalleen was excellent during my post-partum period to help me achieve minimal hair loss. The key is to listen to Shalleen. She knows what she’s talking about and has bomb advice!

Shalleen and her team are amazing. It's been a struggle to find a hairstylist who truly understands the nuances of natural hair care and style. Shalleen in the 3 visits I've had to Style Queen Beauty, I've noticed a difference in the health of my hair. The natural hairstyles she does for me are beautiful. My husband absolutely loves them. Shalleen has been caring for my tresses for another 2 years now. To give you some perspective my hair is extremely thick and now past my shoulders thanks to Shalleen’s “magic hands” as I call them, and it was not manageable at all the first time I sat in Shalleen’s chair. I had been wearing back to back protective styles just to avoid doing my hair, detangling it took hours and brought me to tears at times. Finding Shalleen was a blessing. She not only took her time to teach me about my hair and how to care for it in between appointments but she has an amazing spirit and personality! Shalleen is extremely professional, organized, passionate and the shop is spotless! Being at her shop is a true experience and I always look forward to my appointments. I am proud to be a Style Queen! ♥️ Update: Shalleen is my forever fav hair stylist, we even made it through the pandemic together and my hair has maintained its health and shine! I am finally past my first length goal even though I couldn’t physically get in the chair during the pandemic, I tuned into her education lives and I purchased the products that worked best for my hair through her guidance. To say Shalleen is the expert is an understatement, the passion she pours into her craft shines through in everything she does! Shalleen has been servicing my daughter’s hair a little over 3 years. She is very professional and knowledgeable about her craft; I feel she genuinely cares about the health of her client’s hair and scalp. When we have run into issues, that were outside of her control, she educated us and made recommendations that were very helpful which resulted in improvement of the health of my daughter’s hair and scalp. Style Queen Beauty, the Salon is a chic and always very clean, comfortable, and peaceful environment...it's a vibe for me. COVID 19 precautions have in place since doors were open for business and Shalleen has been consistent in enforcing them. We always leave the salon very pleased with our experience.

The owner of this salon has recently promoted and is selling her detangling brush that she uses on her clients. If you are a person like me where none of the popular detangling brushes on the market work for you (denman, tangle teezer, etc.), then this brush is for you! The bristles are very flexible and can detangle hair (mine is in the 4 hair type category) with ease. It can also be used on dry hair as well. The material is a no-slip kind of material, so if you’re using a lot of slippery products, it will not affect your ability to use the brush. I highly recommend!

I am so so so so glad to have found Shalleen and Style Queen Beauty! And completely by chance, might I add - I happened to be on a natural hair website and saw a photo of a beautiful hairstyle. I went to the IG account tagged on the photo and wouldn’t you know, it was for a stylist right in my area!! I recently had my second visit but you already know from posts and info that she shares online that you’re in good hands even before walking through the door, and my experiences have not fallen short!!
