I’ve gone to Michell twice for a haircut and will keep going back because she does such a fantastic job! She took her time with my haircuts and asked questions to understand what I was looking for. She has a real skill for hair. The haircut went above and beyond what I was envisioning!

I can’t recommend Michell enough! She gave me one of my favorite haircuts to date. She’s a tremendous stylist that took my vision and ran with it. She thoughtfully sent me before and after pics and checked in before and after my cut. Can’t wait to go back!

I got a keratin treatment for the 2nd time -- the first time, Kimmie was my stylist. This time, Michell did my hair. Fantastic experience both times! True, the salon itself could be updated, but the customer service, transparent pricing, and the results themselves are all 5 stars and I highly recommend! My hair is naturally very curly and I always get my hair cut when it's curly. After my treatment today, it was obvious that (when straightened), my most recent haircut was very crooked. Michell took the time to finish the keratin treatment and fix up my length in the back. Will be going back again! I think for the time taken, the quality of the service, and the length of my hair, the price is fair as well. The keratin treatment makes sense as the most expensive service (for my length, the entire process took 3 hours), but I'm willing to pay knowing that it's going to a smaller, local business!

Edit to add: Kimmie has moved but her sister Michell is doing hair at the shop now and I had my first cut with her today! I am SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY with the work she did today and can't wait to go back. I love this shag cut so freaking much. Don't hesitate for a second to see Michell now that Kimmie has moved!! Kimmie did the most amazing job giving me a shag cut the other day and had no problem making my thin hair look not flat! My hair looks the best it has in years. I regret spending triple at salons downtown all this time just to look like I walked out of a great clips, and wish I would have found Kimmie sooner. I can't wait for my next cut with her!!

I just moved to Seattle and was reluctant that I would find an affordable stylist who I could trust with my hair. Michell did a great job- I’m still loving the results from my haircut, style and olaplex treatment! I feel like I’ve stumbled upon a hidden gem and can’t recommend her enough!

Went and got my haircut by the wonderfully talented Michell! She took her time asking for my preferences and making sure there were no stray hairs before we were done. Michell is very welcoming and willing to carry on nice conversation if you so desire. I got my hair washed with a nice complimentary head massage along the way and left feeling so refreshed. I am thankful for supporting a local woman-owned business like this. They do just as well with mens cuts as they do with all the colors and styles for women. The location and easy street parking make it even easier. Thanks again Michell see you in a couple months!

Great service, Kimmie does an excellent job, she has many years of experience, and the looks immediately after the cut are very good. Usually I wait one week after the appt to see how the hair flows but right off the bat 5 stars!! $ unbeatable!

Michell is the best! My coworker messed up my hair. She totally changed my hair for the better. She did a color correction and keratin treatment with the best service. She went over what tone color I would like with examples making it easier for me to pick. She offered me water and food, she’s extremely sweet. Will never go to another hair stylist again.

Michelle has taken the business over from Kimmie and she is such a professional! I had a partial foil that was much more thorough than what I've gotten at other salons and the blonde color was the best I've had in Seattle. I appreciate that Michelle explains her process and does not take shortcuts, the result is really high quality. This does mean it takes a little extra time so make sure you confirm the length of service when booking. Not a bad thing, and again a far better result than I'd been getting in other very expensive salons. As a bonus - Michelle is incredibly nice and genuinely cares that her clients are happy. I'm so excited to have found her.

I had Michelle do my fine thin hair. I have had cancer 3xs.. She understood and cared for my hair like I have never seen in my life, and I'm old 😆 I had high/low lights and a cut. Her prices are below what I'm use to paying and she did a better job, carefully pulling up just a few strands of hair to apply the highlights, due to my thin hair.. I will 100% be returning here for more of Michelle and her caring way of helping me feel more like myself ❤️ Plus 10.00 for eyebrows 😍

I found Styledbykimmie on google and saw all the amazing reviews. So I decided to get my hair cut and colored for the first time at styledbykimmie. I would have to say it was an amazing customer experience from beginning to end. From the beginning I scheduled an appointment online. When the time didn’t work, I got a text right away when the salon opened to reschedule to a time that works for the both of us. She even asked what color I wanted and to send her pictures to prepare. Before the day of the appointment, I even got a reminder text! There was a small parking lot in the back. The place was super easy to find. I had dark black hair and I decided to do ash blond. I was a little nervous as I’ve never gotten it this light before. But WOWWW my hair turned out exactly how I showed her in the picture. I have received so many compliments. I highly highly recommend styledbykimmie! She is amazing!

I loved my haircut! I receive a cut every 6 months to a year. Each time with different stylist feeling indifferent about the cut,price, or simply not happy. It’s different with Kimmie, she was attentive and really took the time to listen to what I wanted and gave me exactly the hairstyle I showed her. Coming back her and claiming her as my stylist.

My hair was a mega-disaster! After spending gobs of money at an upscale salon in CapHill last year, I was so disappointed with how it turned out (dull, dingy yellow, not anything close to silver), over the past few months I cut my own hair, bleached it, tried to highlight, tried to lowlight, used semi-permanent indigo. My hair, which is naturally about 60% gray, had multiple colors and multiple problems. At my consultation, I brought a picture of what I was looking for and Kimmie didn't blanch or make faces or anything negative. How refreshing to have a stylist really listen to what you want, and then have the artistry to create it. Being a detail-oriented person myself, I was blown away by Kimmie's attention to even fine strands of hair, which made for a blended, more natural look. The ultimate kicker? The cost was HALF of that fancy but terrible CapHill salon. Go see Kimmie. She'll fix you up. Believe it!

Needed a change, so based on photos and stellar reviews I went to Kimmie for a style refresh (cut and color). Her work far exceeded my expectations with a perfectly beveled/layered bob and gorgeous color. Highly recommend.
