I want to take this time to say this by far has been the best experience I have ever had! Tanya is Amazing!! She was patient and listened to me and my concerns and what I really wanted. She supported me through the process and made me feel confident that “The Big Chop” was a great decision for me. I have been searching for someone to just listen and she did just that!! Walked in and the energy and vibes with the 2 (short brown skin girl & heavy set black man) that greeted me at the counter made me realize why I went natural and stopped allowing just any "ole body touch my hair"...terrible introduction and customer service.. walked my tail right back out and went next door to the whole food store and brought me a few natural products to do my own hair. I am good now.

My appointment with Tanya this morning renewed my faith and hope in hair dressers. I have NEVER met a hair dresser who was as HONEST as Tanya was. Tanya examined my scalp, asked a lot of questions and recommended that I kept my money and FOCUS on the recommended treatment of my dermatologist. This speaks so much VOLUME to me, it tells me that she cares more for the health of my hair than a quick buck and this I respect. If you are looking for a hair dresser with good ETHICS and to take care of your hair I 100% endorse this Salon and highly recommend Tanya.

I absolutely love my hair!! I came in and had an appointment with Tanya to discuss cutting my hair. She walked me through everything and then we proceeded to start the cut. Tanya was extremely knowledgeable and explained things clearly to the point where I felt comfortable. I can’t stop looking at myself because I love my cut and curls!! Tanya is the best. Already made my next appointment!

I had an amazing experience. I went to Diamond my first time. First I got a consultation and she answered all my questions and got me scheduled to come back and be styled the next day. I got a protein treatment, got my hair washed, and got coil twists. The wash was great, pretty much felt like a massage. It was all pretty quick and I'm happy with my hairstyle. Good vibes in there too, everyone was polite and in good spirits.

My appointment was with Tanya. She was very nice and kind throughout the entire appointment. She assessed my hair and took her time and didn’t rush detangling my hair, which was very tangled and did take awhile to do. She was very patient during the detangling process. She was very knowledgeable in hair care and explained to me about the different products that would work well with my hair texture, steamed and deep conditioned my hair, and trimmed/cut my hair to a healthy length since I had not had a trim for a few years. She showed she cared about the health of her clients hair and wanting them to see the full potential of healthy hair. I received the California Press with a few curls and it turned out beautifully! I have received so many compliments on how nice and healthy my hair looks. I would recommend Tanya and I will be returning on a regular basis to keep up with the health of my hair! -Kiko

My recent hair appointment with Tanya was fantastic! As a working parent, scheduling on a Sunday was a game-changer. Tanya was not only kind but also incredibly knowledgeable about both mine and my daughter's hair. We both got exactly what we wanted - I got the California Press, and my daughter got two-strand twists, and we couldn't be happier with the results. I have always struggled to find stylists that can manage my very full and kinky head of hair. Norman is extremely talented and a very kind soul. Gets me right every time.

Not happy with my service at all. My stylist started over an hour late with no apology or explanation. The stylists were all shouting talking to each other to the point where I couldn’t listen to anything or read while I was in the chair. They couldn’t even be quiet for 5 minutes while I had to take a very important phone call. On top of that, they messed up (what I feel is) the simplest hairstyle, a wash and go. My stylist just took my hair in fairly large chunks and raked some product through. I could feel he wasn’t even fully detangling my hair as I could still feel knots at the end. The finished product looked like day 5 or 6 hair rather than a fresh wash and go from a salon — barely any definition or hold. I’ve never had a wash and go come out this way before when doing it myself and especially not at a salon by a professional. Not comparable to anything advertised on their IG. I could have done a better job myself. They all seemed nice enough, but the service was just so unprofessional. I won’t be returning.

Greetings.... unfortunately the stylist (Norman) lost his concentration when he styled the back of my natural hair.... because there is no consistent uniformity (see attached pics)....he just bunched the ends together. Very disappointing; in fact, these same haphazard knots at the base of my neck began separating (they came a loose) the very next day. Notwithstanding, my best friend purchased this wash/cond/style appt w/Norman as a birthday gift - primarily becuz of the reviews others had posted on the salon's website & on Google - but somewhere along the way this stylist has lost his edge for consistently providing quality services. Please understand I was Norman's 1st appointment that day (8a) so there's no reason he shouldn't have been alert and attentive to his craft. W/this in mind, besides wasting $71+ I was saddened by the misrepresentation of services that are  being perpetuated upon our community (by 1 of our very own)!

I was searching for a Saloon,and I found Styles By Lisa, friendly Stylist the services aren't cheap,yes it's changed a bit,The atmosphere is different the stylist,aren't as friendly. I think because of the owner being famous,some of the stylist exhibit snuddy behavior,the Salon is clean it's a buzzer type entrance,with ring doorbell camera,which I like,the only complaint I had when I arrived,no one buzzed me in,I had to wait until another client arrived and I entered when she was buzzed into the Salon,The Stylist fees are extremely expensive now,which I really hate,I think they're billing system is too extreme and again I'm on time for my appointment;however it happened a second time,I had to wait until another client arrived to be buzzed into the Salon,both of us was buzzed into the salon at the same time,they do wonderful work at Styles By Lisa,but the cost is too expensive for my taste,plus they encouraged a tip and the services alone are sky high. I probably won't return for awhile until I can saved up some money, to afford another hair appointment.

If I could leave a zero star review I would. I typically don’t leave negative reviews, but I had to for this case. I used to go here frequently, but then I cut my hair last year, and went less frequently. Today is my first day back since I cut my hair . I scheduled a color with Norman. He has to be the rudest person in there! I called ahead that I would be just a few minutes late. Norman and his personal assistant were extremely rude to me over the phone and even hung up the phone on me. They completely disrespected me and my loyalty over the years. Their customer service is most definitely trash. This will be my last time here!! You try to support black businesses, then they give the worst customer service.
