DJ is phenomenal. She has a superb and positive attitude every time. DJ makes the time fly by and the discomfort disappear as she keeps you engaged with good conversation and genuinely seems interested in what we're talking about.

This was my first time getting a Brazilian wax, and Alyssa made me feel very comfortable through talking to me through it, laughter, me gasping for air for anticipation, and me at awe at the end results, which was amazing. And the pain wasn't as bad as I thought it would be for my first time. She even explained the difference between the hard wax and sugared wax and which one would be more beneficial due to this being my first time getting waxed. I will definitely be going back for all my waxing needs. This place is overall amazing.

I absolutely love Dj she’s very attentive, educated, and funny. She makes the experience quick while being personable. It’s a whole vibe in here. My best friend recommended me and we literally don’t go anywhere else.

I'm absolutely delighted that I discovered Sugar Coated waxing and sugaring! When I moved to Columbia from Fayetteville, I struggled to find a trustworthy and welcoming place. However, after reading the reviews, I couldn't resist giving Sugar Coated a try. Today was my first appointment, and I must say, the customer service was outstanding! The entire staff greeted me warmly and engaged in conversation. I finally feel like I've found my go-to place. If you're still searching for the perfect spot, I highly recommend giving Sugar Coated a chance. DJ, my esthetician, was exceptional. They addressed all of my questions and concerns, and their wonderful personality made the experience even better. I'm so glad I decided to try Sugar Coated, and I will be enthusiastically recommending it to everyone I know.

I’ve been a customer of Sugar Coated since April 2022. D’Shayla is the best but no worries if you can’t book her. All of the esthetician’s are great. The customer service is always wonderful, my appointments have always been on time, and the facility is always so clean and smells amazing.

10/10 recommend ! The energy is magnificent from the time you walk in to the time you leave. Book with Alyssa she is so sweet and does an amazing job with explaining everything from what she’s doing to explaining aftercare I definitely will be returning !

Giving 3 out of 2 stars. This was my first time going here. The staff was friendly. I went here to get a brazilian. Upon checking in, I was told that I needed my eyebrows done. The lady at the front desk was telling me that they weren’t even, and that I should grow them out, and come back to have them colored and shaped. They were nice about all of this, but I had no problems with how my eyebrows looked before I ever came to this place. I didn’t ask for an opinion about getting my brows done. So why give it to me? Anyways, my appointment went well. As well as a Brazilian can go lol. Once she was done waxing me, I wasn’t given a mirror to see if there were any places I wanted re-done. The waxer wasn’t really detail oriented. Usually I’m given a warm, moist small towel to wipe any access sugar off of myself. I wasn’t given that. I also noticed she missed some hairs after I got home. Which was a slight annoyance after paying $64. I also don’t like that you have to place a deposit and pay that deposit each time you make an appointment. You’re basically paying for half of your appointment ahead of time. I’ve never done that before. I’ve always put a card on file and wasn’t charged until after my appointment the day of. So I thought that was also odd. Long story short, I won’t be returning.

I don’t know of many places that offer sugaring so that’s what made me check this place out. I came and got a wax with DJ. She was amazing and knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable through the entire wax. I came back to do my eyebrows with Alyssa and she is phenomenal as well. I am picky with who does my brows but she listened to what I wanted and made them look great. She was so gentle and quick. The entire place is clean everyone is friendly great vibes in there.

I have been a customer here for at least 2 yrs now and I'm confused about the 2 negative reviews about the waxing hurting. It's WAXING!!! And especially if it's your 1st experience. I've had Alyssa and now Dani and I've always been pleased. This is the cleanest salon I've ever been to. And I'm not sure about rude staff, all I can say is I've never had that experience. I don't get paid for reviews but you can't please everyone and some people live for a negative review. Keep doing your thing ladies.

I highly recommend DJ for waxing and sugaring! When I was in Columbia I always got waxed by her. She is informative and professional and I’ve never had any issues after my wax appointments.

I just had my first appointment with DJ and at Sugar Coated and let me tell you she did not disappoint. Hands down a great experience. I felt welcomed when I arrived. She was prompt which was important since I was on my lunch break and she also got my bunny tail LOL if you know you know. It was very clean which is important to me. DJ was very knowledgeable. I purchased the scrub and can't wait to use it. I will be back in 4 weeks for sure.

I love this place!! I had a brazilian and eyebrow wax with Alyssa and she was absolutely amazing! Very knowledgeable too! I've been getting waxes for a year prior and this was by far the least painful! The salon is super cute too! 💕💕

I took a visit here on 12/11/23 , to get a FULL BRAZILIAN WAX, the owner was so friendly D’Shayla , BLACK OWN. That’s what I like( CUSTOMER SERVICE MEANS A LOT TO ME ) especially coming to the south from up NORTH, it’s totally different. It’s so clean and cozy, if I could I would do TEN ACROSS THE BOARD! Top Tier, from the aesthetics ! I would recommend this place and I can’t wait to try the other services they are providing here. I hope sooner they will add lash extensions . This will be a one stop shop of self care for me. My only complaint I have is when I normally leave I will have appt scheduled out for my next , that just made me feel unwelcoming for the next but Shayla stated that it’s a percentage for deposit for next appt, I never done that before maybe it’s a south thing . I get it everyone rules are different . For now I’ll just call in to do my appointments.

Overall the atmosphere is good and the ladies are nice. The services performed are overall good too. I have been using them for over a year & I really enjoyed the overall experience up until today. I made a mistake and wrote my appointment down for the wrong date. When you make a mistake and miss the appointment you will pay for the full service which is outlined in their online agreement. In addition, if you miss 2 appointments you can no longer be serviced there. I don’t understand why you would release a customer after 2 times if they are paying the full price for a service that isn’t performed but needless to say, I called only to see if they offered text reminders to prevent this from happening and me being released fully from the practice in the future. To my surprise the lady said I am already receiving them (email & text). I told her that I have never received them and didn’t want to risk not getting them in the future because I don’t want to give them 60.00 for free and I don’t want to be removed from the practice. I was surprised at her response “it’s your responsibility to keep up with your appointment and ALL of our other customers are getting them so it not our fault your not getting them” I didn’t say it was their fault. I was only trying to see why I wasn’t getting them. I get all the other reminders from all the other businesses I do business with. I didn’t ask for my money back or ask for a concession to be made. I even said at the beginning of the call that it was my mistake. I’m just calling to ensure it doesn’t happen again. Ultimately since they were unwilling to figure out why I am not getting the reminders I will just go to another wax bar where I can get the reminders. There are plenty of wax bars around and I tip pretty well so while I didn’t appreciate the way I was talked to, I am happy to take my business where I feel it’s deserved. I gave 3 stars because I’m not petty. I understand business which is why I was providing them with feedback. The service prior to this experience was pretty good as long as you don’t ask them to fix a problem.

The place is beautiful and all the workers are so nice. It was my first time there ever and I felt like DJ already knew me, she was the best I’ve ever been too in my 3 years of getting waxed. She genuinely shows an interest and cares to educate you. She made me feel so comfortable while also getting it done efficiently. 10/10 recommend DJ and the business altogether.

The young woman who did the waxing was awesome. She was kind, complemented me, and walked me through the entire process since I was new to it. The only reason it's a 4 star instead of 5 is due to the front staff. When walking in, there was hardly a hello, simply a 'check in on the tablet' and a hand pointed to the side of the counter. She didn't look like she wanted to be there at all at 10am. (The earliest they open) I get not liking to be up early, but after 8am, I feel like it should be much easier to put on a pleasant personality and look semi-interested in your job. I didn't feel comfortable at all until the young lady took me back to the waxing area and we started talking. I was much more comfortable at that point.
