My original salon I go to was booked so I chose sugar salon this time and I had Larissa as my stylist! First time coming in and the environment was very pleasant and welcoming! Larissa was sooooooooo sweet and kind and made my hair wonderful again! Beautiful cut and style! I will definitely come back for my next appointments!

New to Wichita and wanted to get a cherry chocolate balayage + my usual haircut (feathered layers + curtain bangs). Meghan gave me exactly what I asked for and did a fantastic job. She had great recommendations for maintaining the color as well.

I've been coming to this Salon for around 5/6 years now and everytime I leave I feel so much better than when I came. My stylists Olivia is the best. She listens to my wants/needs, she gets me in as soon as she can anytime I need anything and always does such a good job. The salon is always warm and welcoming. 10/10

Wow! I was in need of a new hairstyle and color after spending the last 4+ months dealing with some pretty serious medical issues. I was pretty new to Wichita KS, so I “crossed my fingers” and shopped for a salon online. Sugar Salon caught my eye, and I booked my appointment for a few days later. Walking into the salon, I immediately felt comfortable, it is enchantingly decorated and smelled amazing! My stylist, Larissa, took the time to listen to me, and offered me excellent advice and suggestions for my hair. I left over 3 hours later, feeling uplifted, empowered and beautiful! I LOVE my new style and color! And I watched every other client that came into the salon while I was there transformed as well! I have always loved my hair, it’s my favorite feature, but it presents challenges and many stylists have not done it justice; Larissa listened and gave me back my self confidence-a great hair style and color is so important for that. I HIGHLY recommend Sugar Salon for the young and not-so-young-prepare to be uplifted and feel amazing! I’m still “floating on air” 2 weeks later! Deborah C

I love Sugar Salon! Since moving back to Wichita after college I had a hard time finding a salon and stylist I loved. Until I came to Sugar! The salon is gorgeous and inviting from the moment you step inside. You can tell the staff truly enjoys working there. Everyone is professional, friendly, and helpful. Not to mention - I love my hair every time! My stylist is Susan, the owner. But in a pinch I've gone to other stylists as well and have always been pleased. My daughter is almost 13 and was ready for a "big girl" salon. She has loved getting her hair done by Meghan. You will love it!

Shawn is my go to person when getting my hair cut/colored! I always struggle between what I want and what I need. Shawn finds really good balance and gives the best advice every time! I can’t speak highly enough of her! She is the definition of perfection when it comes to haircutting and coloring. I’ve been getting compliments daily as a result of her work as well as people wanting to feel my hair cause it looks so healthy!!

This salon is lovely! This was my first haircut with Larisa and it was an incredible experience from the shampoo/ scalp massage to the blowout… Larisa is talented, professional, and detail oriented. I LOVE my hair!!

Stacey is a miracle worker!! If you’re a blonde, definitely go see her! I live 3 hours away, but was recommended by a friend, and I have never been happier with my hair!! I can’t say enough about her, she was amazing!

Ellie is the stylist I have been with twice now. I'm from Texas but come to Sugar to get my hair done from her! She is not only an extremely nice, understanding, and thoughtful person- she is extremely talented. She does an A+ balayage and also gives flawless haircuts. She has helped me transform my hair routine and fix the health of my hair. Ellie did a 180° transformation on my hair and has gained me so much confidence. I constantly get compliments on my hair since my first service with her. I highly suggest her for anyone and everyone. She has changed my life!! Sugar Salon is a high end salon, but a hospitable atmosphere. I highly recommend Sugar to someone who values a good hair day everyday! I attached my before and after, after I worked with Ellie!

I absolutely love this place. The hairstylist was so kind and did such an amazing job on my hair. It is so unbelievably difficult to find someone who understands what I’m looking for. However, she freaking nailed it! I’m so thankful I found this place! I will definitely be coming back here to see Kara! Thank you so much Kara! Outstanding work!

IF ZERO STARS WAS AN OPTION THAT WOULD BE MY PICK! I will never take my daughter back here. We had an appointment with this salon that I personally have been to before. My daughter is 14 and Monday is her first day of high school and to say that she was excited for this appointment would be an understatement. I booked this creatine blowout for her over 6 weeks ago for the weekend before high school begins. When I booked this appointment the details were that the service would start at $240 and possibly increase based on hair length. Knowing this I sent a picture of her hair and length at the time that I booked the appointment online. I never received any contact requesting for me to bring my daughter in to better evaluate her hair or that anything would be an issue. When I arrived for her appointment today 15 minutes early, we were greeted with and I quote, “are you the one here for a blowout”. (Found out later her name is Olivia, I had to look it up on the website because I was never given hers when we met). Not a hi welcome. Not what is your name so I can check you in. Nothing. She then proceeds to tell me that they service now starts around 400 and up. I told her ok that is fine. She then stated I would be looking at a price between 400-450. Again. I said ok. My daughter was excited. This woman then tells me she is behind today and would be with us in roughly 20 minutes. She still has yet to ask me what my name is or my daughters. We sit in the lobby for 45 minutes. She comes out looks at my daughters hair a few minutes after we sit down. Does not say a word and then let’s us sit in this lobby expecting everything to be just fine. 45 minutes after we arrive the hair stylist (Olivia) looks at us and says “are you ready”. She still does not address us. We walk back and my daughter sits down in her chair, and she says the price now is probably going to be $585 or more! I told her this ( about the original quote and then the increased price upon my arrival) and she stated “sorry but that is what my boss told me to charge.” I asked if I could speak with her boss and was informed that she is not here at the salon today. This service was increased $200 + since I arrived today by somebody who didn’t even look at her hair. We wanted her hair cut first. She didn’t even ask that. She said her boss (owner of the establishment) could call me to explain the price increase even though she (owner) had never even seen my daughters hair. The look my daughter gave me of utter defeat will be the number one reason why I won’t EVER schedule anything with this salon again, but I also will never recommend or tell a soul to visit this incredibly rude and unwelcoming business. Had she not made us feel as if we were a utter waste of her time I would have paid the $600 gladly. I have been in customer service for years and would never have accepted that level of unprofessionalism from any of my employees to a guest in my establishment. Spend your money elsewhere where it will be appreciated and not looked at like they don’t have time for you. Go literally anywhere else.

Larisa is incredible. I’ve had my hair long since 2010, but I ALWAYS wore it up in the last few years since having kids, because ain’t nobody got time for styling long hair that’s a work at home mom! So I decided to chop it off as short hair offers more style and face framing than buns and ponytails do. I picked Larisa after reading her bio, I got a good feeling about her. And it was spot on! We cut it shorter than I’d planned, but I own responsibility for that because I showed her varying lengths in the pics I presented and didn’t properly vocalize where I wanted it to fall. And you know what? I’m happy I didn’t because I absolutely love it. Everyone loves it. She’s very talented and she’s also very kind, warm, and personable. I’m happy I found someone in Wichita that I want to go back to. I’m excited for her to add some pops of dimension via balayage! ❤️

Never go to Shawn the last salon she worked at is getting clients because of her bad service.. I personally had a terrible experience with her. She's highly unpleasant when she in a mood very inconsistent about results will lie to you when she messes up your hair..she wears the same clothes a t shirt and jeans 3 days in a row Argumentative she doest listen and tries to make you deal with bad hair color

Worst experience I had at a salon. Very unprofessional and unethical. I ordered 1N extentions which is brown for $1200. Went to get them put in and the color was almost black and was the wrong color but the owner Susan insisted they where the same and there is no return or exchange. Basically they didn't care. It's hair who treats a client so poorly after charging $1200. No professionalism at all. No apology just kept insisting it was the same color and I should shut up and just get them put it or leave.
