Bella has been doing my brows and facials for years! Her facials leave my skin glowing and I feel like I don’t even need makeup for weeks after, I get compliments on my brows all the time and I she’s the only person I go to to make sure they’re perfect. She’s kind, funny and highly experienced and will take amazing care of your skin!

Shelby did an amazing job on my hair! She had great communication skills and was very friendly. Will definitely come back! Edit: had a haircut with Kat and also had a great haircut! She was super friendly and made sure to check in multiple times to ask if the haircut was matching what I wanted.

I just had my hair done by Juliet, and I feel like a brand new person! She really took the time to understand what I wanted and knew exactly what would suit me best. Her attention to detail is incredible, and the end result left me feeling so confident and refreshed. It’s rare to find someone who can make such a difference after just one appointment. What made the whole experience even better was the atmosphere. All the stylists seemed so close and genuinely happy to be there, which made everything feel more welcoming. If you’re looking for a stylist who truly knows what she’s doing and makes you feel fantastic, I can’t recommend Juliet enough!

I recently got a haircut, but unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed. It’s important to emphasize that while people may have good intentions, they should not take customers’ hair and time for granted. My hair is long, quite thick, and straight. I spent three months growing it. Now, I have a short haircut with different lengths from side to side. The fact that the business did not offer a refund due to a non-refund policy ( which I find unreasonable) for my dissatisfaction was even more upsetting after I lost my hair. The business owners offered to give an adjustment cut, but as a customer who lost trust, I don’t want to return to this business again. Businesses should prioritize their customers’ satisfaction, especially if they hope to regain their customers’ trust after a loss.

The first month I got signature facial & this month- microdermabrasion. Both of these were done by Kameron. From the moment I walk in, she makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. She thoroughly explains the process and answers all of my questions. During the treatment, she was gentle and attentive, making sure I was comfortable at all times. My skin felt absolutely amazing afterwards and I could see a noticeable difference in its texture and appearance. Not only is Kameron highly skilled in her craft, but she is also incredibly friendly and personable. I felt like I was chatting with an old friend throughout the whole process. Overall, I highly recommend Kameron for anyone looking for a professional and effective facial treatment. She is truly the best! Sugaring: This month was my first time having sugaring at this place with Kameron. I had an amazing experience especially with Brazilian sugaring. She was so professional and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. I was nervous at first, but she walked me through each step and made sure I was okay throughout. The sugaring process was quick and virtually painless. I was amazed at how smooth and soft my skin felt afterwards! Kameron has a true talent for sugaring, and I will definitely be coming back for future Brazilian appointments.

Shelby P has absolutely nailed my haircuts. I used to have shoulder length hair and she gave me a great haircut then, and more recently decided to shorten it up for the summer and once again got a fantastic cut. So for dudes with any hair length - get something on the books with Shelby. You will not be disappointed! I am very thankful to have found such a skilled stylist.

Always an amazing, relaxing experience here at S&S! I've been coming here since the new year started with facials done by Kameron. She is amazing at her work and explains what products she's using and how it will help my skin. I started with a signature facial for my first visit and later moved on to dermaplaning facials. My skin is now super smooth and soft! I also decided to try a hair treatment with Shelby today - detox scalp therapy. Shelby is really sweet and her hands felt so good massaging my scalp. Highly recommend both Kameron and Shelby! I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Tarynne and Ashley are excellent hair stylists. I have been going to get my hair done here for years, and you can't go wrong with any of the stylists when it comes to color and cuts. I was in today, and while my color was setting I started talking to one of their estheticians, Cameron, and she was so knowledge and answers all my face hygiene questions. It was very appreciated. Highly recommend.

I came in to sugar and shears for laser hair removal on my arms, and Kameron, the esthetician who helped me was very knowledgeable about the laser and even calmed me down by explaining how it works. She answered any questions I had and made sure I knew what to do for aftercare. Super happy to have found a women-owned small business where I truly feel taken care of!

I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair! I called sugar and shears in a panic years ago after another salon fried my hair and they immediately got me in to fix it! Ashley is such an amazing owner and stylist! I book out with her 6-12 months in advance to make sure I can get on her calendar. I also have gone to them for sugaring and facial services. I did multiple hydrofacials before my wedding and never had so many compliments on my skin! I’ll continue to come here for hair and facials as long as I live in Seattle they are the best!

I’ve been going to Ashley for over a decade and I can’t say enough positive things about her and the whole salon. I have gone to a number of stylists over the years there and I’ve had a great experience each time. It’s by far the best salon in Seattle! My cut and color always looks amazing.

Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit at Sugar & Shears for a haircut and baby lights! The salon itself has a positive, warm ambiance that is evident upon arrival. It also feels very clean and tidy in there. My hair stylist, Tarynne, was professional, down to earth, and so knowledgeable at her craft. She took her time with my hair, she communicated well, and it was so relaxing having a quiet session on a Saturday morning and being able to catch up on my Kindle while she worked on my hair. After her thoughtful suggestions based on my preferences (e.g., a professional look and noticeable color), I ended up really satisfied with the end product. I have also already received a few compliments on my new hair :). Thanks so much to Tarynne and S&S for the fantastic work and positive experience!

Had the most unbelievable experience getting a perfect, sun kissed balayage with Shelby. I couldn’t be happier! She was so professional and I’ll absolutely be coming again! You hear often about awful experiences with hair color across the industry where people say “this was the picture”, “this is what I got”. I can definitively say I walked out with inspo picture-worthy hair!

I don’t normally write reviews but this business really frustrated me. I first visited the salon after a terrible chop at great-clips. I had an absolutely amazing appointment and set up another a few months down the line. In those few months I started college, and had recently gotten a new cat. The Monday before my Thursday appointment I received a text reminder about my appointment and I wholeheartedly thought I went online and canceled it. I know I at least tried because the cat I just got has had some emergency medical issues and I knew I wouldn’t be able to afford the appointment considering I paid $102 for me to get my hair fixed the last time. I told the woman all of this on the phone and she said she had to charge me 100% for the appointment since I didn’t show up, I asked her to please don’t charge me I attempted to cancel and I don’t have the money and that my account would go negative if she charged me as I had just paid $315 to help my sick cat at the Vet. She would not back down and had no sympathy at all. I’m all for small owned businesses and even tipped generously on my first appointment because I know how hard it is right now. But if your company can’t have the same compassion for your customers I want nothing to do with it anymore. I told them women I would be disputing the charge and I got a sassy “Thanks for letting us know” and as soon as we hung up the phone I checked my account and sure enough I was already charged. Very very inconsiderate.

I see Jamie religiously every 4 weeks - we do sugaring instead of waxing. It has changed my life. She is gentle but thorough. The salon is well situated on capitol hill. Everyone who works there is friendly and they have an amazing assortment of products. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I started coming here for sugaring services and now myself and my family come here for our hair cuts as well. Shelby did my partner's hair. Olivia styles my 3 year old and myself. She does great with my little one and I love the color she did on my hair recently. I see Avalon for sugaring services and she is great! Super gentle and thorough. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Inside there are lots of skin and hair products to choose from and I have never been disappointed in any product I've purchased.

Jamie is the best! I see her for all of my skincare and sugaring needs. My skin has NEVER looked better, the products she recommends are effective and less expensive than what I was using before. Her facials are relaxing, feel amazing, and give great results as well. In regard to sugaring, I’ve gone to many places in the greater Seattle area and Jamie hands down gives the most painless experience possible when it comes to sugaring. She’s also very detail oriented and ensures every hair is removed when doing sugaring services. I just tried brow tinting for the first time today with my sugaring brow maintenance and I love it!

Olivia W. is an amazing stylist who knows just how to work with my hair (fine but lots of it!). I’m graying quite a bit and she helps me cover but keep it blended for great grow out. I love the environment at sugar & shears. Always feels calm, clean and inclusive. Make sure you book ahead, because this place is a gold mine!

Updated my ratings. The owner reached out to me and was able to fix my hair exactly the way I wanted it. Thanks! Great facials, look elsewhere for haircut. I told her exactly what I wanted with a photo, I did the same thing with my previous haircuts but none of them had any trouble following. But all this "hairstylist" had were a million excuses as to why she couldn't cut my hair properly. All the excuses in the world cannot cover up the lack of ability. This is the worst haircut I've ever gotten. Now I've to go around town looking like Willy Wonka until I can find another salon to fix my hair. I specified about 800 asking for layers and she proceeds to "blend" them away. For what joy? Just a terrible terrible experience. And it's not cheap either.
