I’ve been coming to SugarCoat & Co Beauty Bar with my mom, for monthly pedicures. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is always very relaxing. If you’re looking for a reliable nail salon, I couldn’t recommend them enough. Thank you!

They do really good cuticle work. They take their time with your nails. Ken, my technician, was really nice and helped me when I couldn't pick out the right color. He was very patient and careful. I would 10/10 recommend him. The tools are sterilized and clean and the service is really nice. My nails look great and very neat and the prices are so reasonable!

Very Demure…love the ambiance..staff is nice,professional and knowledgeable about nail care..not to mention their margaritas and mimosas are delicious ..definitely recommend!!!

I had made an appointment online using their booking system. I showed up 10 minutes early to allow myself time to check in and pick a color. It seemed as though the person at the reception desk was confused about my appointment. However, he told me that he had checked me in and that I could go sit and pick a color and someone would be with me shortly. I clarified which colors I could choose from for the dip manicure I wanted, and he pointed me towards a few options. As I was looking, I noticed that one of the booklets I was looking at said “gel” instead of “dip”. I attempted to clarify with him if this was for gel only or could also be used for dip (as one of the colors on there was the color that I wanted). He cut me off while I was trying to ask my question, said somebody could help me pick a color, and then didn’t let me finish my sentence. I clarified I didn’t need help choosing a color…I just wanted to be clear if this was dip or gel. He once again said this was dip. He said someone would be with me shortly multiple times, but I sat there for 40 minutes before I decided that I needed to leave because I had other things to do. After this, I told him I was going to leave and return another day. and he said “no no no please stay. We’re getting your table ready right now.” I said “are you sure?”. And he said “yes”. Then I sat back down in the waiting area and after about nine minutes, he moved me to a seat in the salon. Nobody came to help me for another 10 minutes after that. Then they moved me to a different seat and finally, I had my manicure done. The color I had picked was in fact gel only…. Not dip…. So I picked another. The manicure looked good in the end, but the person doing it was a little bit rough when removing my old dip nails and filing. As I was preparing to leave after initial my 40 minute wait, the manager assured me that he would make it up to me and that he was very sorry. He said he would offer me a discount which was also partially why I decided to wait (that and the fact he said they were ready right now). Then, after he took me initially into the salon before I had to wait for yet another 10 minutes, he once again repeated that he would give me a discount and apologized again. Because of all this, I decided to stick it out. After the manicure, and I went to pay; the nail technician was helping the receptionist check me out, and it seemed like they were arguing about how much of a discount to give me. When all was said and done…..he gave me a five dollar discount. This is absolutely laughable. The minimum that they should’ve even offered would’ve been 20%, but honestly for how much they wasted my time and strung me along, 50% would’ve been the right thing to do. Then the receptionist guy again said “if you come again, I’ll make it up to you”. LOL. I will never return here and there’s no way that you would make it up to me based on how you treated me today. Communication is extremely valuable especially in a customer service industry and they severely lacked it. The continuously stung me along and wasted my time. I also saw the receptionist addressing a client (a teenager girl who was there with what appeared to be her mother, mothers s/o, and younger sister) as “mija” and “chica” while trying to get her attention. These are not appropriate things to bark at a teenage girl you don’t know. Maybe try using a) English since the girl clearly spoke English, or b) if for whatever reason you want to use Spanish be polite and use “señorita”. Gave them one extra star because my nails turned out good.

My toes look so cute, I never review places but best pedi I’ve had in a long time, and she cracked my toes which I’ve also never had during a pedicure but I loved it. New fav spot to get my toes done! Got the sports massage so a little more pricey but still very affordable.

I am very disappointed that it was not a completely good experience. Not everything is bad. The technician was kind but the result of the work was not. My fingers hurt because the acrylic is on the outside of my nails and under my nails, causing pain in the tips of my fingers. In addition, my nails are not well shaped and are left wide and thick.

Excellent customer care. The esthetic was very good and the quality of service was great. I enjoyed my tech experience she was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.10/10 would recommend and next time I’m in Austin I’ll be sure to visit again.

I feel awful doing this but after realizing my phone number was BLOCKED from contacting them & they never wanted to acknowledge my email on this situation I don’t care anymore. I had a wonderful 1st experience, but after yesterday I feel very appalled. I asked for a basic manicure, yes I did have a hangnail on ONE THUMB but I knew better than to blame that on my technician. Tell me why she managed to cut BOTH my thumbs from how rough she was being and looked at me in awe when I asked her how to stop the bleeding. She sends me pay BEFORE i even got my polish applied & yes, a nice lady with short hair at the register did manage to give me a business card with the 1st technician I had’s name to avoid this in the future (which is now a giant NO). I don’t know if she felt some type of way when she saw i was asked about my bleeding thumbs from the short haired lady, but boy did her demeanor change & gave me a half ass color application, left my fingers smudged, thumbs bleedings, bubbles in the polish. Disgusting. I did email & text a number from the salon’s instagram page stating this incident with proof & was told to come in to get helped on this situation & keep in mind this was to avoid making a public review on the matter, but i’m assuming that’s how I got my number blocked. Yes, I verified this because i called multiple times this morning & it kept “dropping/cancelling” yet I got an easy answer as soon as i used other numbers. Great, real mature. I had to go to another nearby salon to fix that ugly mess. Fire that technician Kim, because from prior reviews it seems this is not her 1st time being a problem. Here’s photos, circled time stamps from yesterday, my receipt w/ date and time. I just wanted my money back, but wow. Update: Yes, I’ve seen I got a response, but how am i supposed to contact when y’all STILL have only addressed this on this public google review but have not answered my email, & I personally still cannot get a hold of y’all through phone call. 🙃

I really liked this place, Vin and Kim were wonderful. Very kind and the work was great. Fairly priced. The reg pedi did start at 36, plus gel is at $20+, the only downside is that Kim didn't tell my sister French tip was more, maybe in other places it is but we were never aware it was an up charge of +$10, just would of liked to be told beforehand. Other than that very great service, will def come back. Can't reccomend Vin more. Loved my reg Pedi ❤

My first visit was great! It was so good that I took a friend along this time. I guess that good experience was only a one-time thing! This time, our techs were super rude! My tech (named Kim) was jabbing into my nail, causing pain. I stopped her immediately and told her to be careful. I'm a cancer patient and can't afford to have open wounds. Guess, she didn't like that and she continued doing a half-ass job. The techs scrubbed only the heal instead of the whole foot, didn't spend enough time exfoliating and when it came to the hot towel, they used only one towel for both legs together instead of a towel for each leg!!!! No one offered a drink either! On top of that, our techs had the longest, angry faces the whole time. Don't know what's going on with their life but we did not need that kind of treatment for a service we were paying for! The only reason I went to this place is because it's located in my neighborhood. I'll never set foot in that place again and will highly discourage my friends and neighbors from going to this place too!

I’d love to share that this was my first experience here at this salon and let me say I was EXTREMELY satisfied with the service delivered. I walked in with a clear inspo picture of what I wanted and Sammie delivered!! The customer service was impeccable. The salon is relaxing and quiet with background music. Everybody there accommodates you to your liking. Super clean and so cutely decorated. They do have assortments of drinks as well on the house. I’ve found my go to nail salon I will say! Sammie was amazing as well as her nail tech partner. She’s very inspiring, interested and passionate in what she does for a living and you can completely trust her with whatever designs you’d want!!! Trust me she knows what she is doing 100%. I was over the top happy with my whole experience. And she doesn’t make you feel awful or bad if you voice any little concerns you’d have with the nail work. She did a Beautiful Job. Slayed completely. Please also look at the pictures I will post on top of my review. Beautiful work. French tips on long acrylics. Costed me $110 and COMPLETELY WORTH IT!!

The cutest and girliest salon I’ve been too and the aesthetic was just beautiful in there. I got a gel pedicure and it’s holding up great even with all of the running and walking I do. The massage chairs are comfy and relaxing. Timer was used for the foot massage portion of the pedicure to track 5 minutes on each side. I will say I had to wait for 25 minutes because they were slightly short staffed during the middle of the day, but there’s stores to visit while you wait for the text to come in. Overall great experience and nice people!

Where to begin.. I spent $80+ on nails that I absolutely hate.. Firstly the gel x tip was not placed near my cuticle. I was really unhappy with how it looked and actually complained to the tech which I've never done in 20 years of getting my nails done. She tried to "fix" it but using gel polish which resulted in major overhang as my nail started to grow out. It catches dirt and grime and I can't run my fingers through my hair without it pulling hair out. Second - I could tell that one nail was not bonded correctly because it looked like it had an air pocket. Well sure enough within about 24 hours it started to pull apart. I spend a lot of time cleaning between my nail and the gel x nail because I'm worried about bacteria. Third - sloppiest work I've ever seen. I did not have the ability to clean underneath my nails. I had to pay another salon to clean all the excess material so that I could clean underneath them. Fourth - These nails are sooo thick. I've never had people tell me my nails look bad before coming here. These are truly awful. I'd love atleast a partial refund or my tip back (gosh I'm an idiot for even doing so - I was in shock and not confrontational) but they never answer their phone!!! 0 out 10. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Amazing Got a black dip +gel foil with an almond tip. And I felt clean and sharp when I left. No stray glue or awkward shaping honestly so well done! Prolly my favorite nails I've ever gotten. I'm not from here but would definitely come back if I'm in Austin again.

They were able to fit us in although there were only 4 people working and the salon was semi busy. They were nice and let us know that it would take a little longer than usual. It was 3 of and we all were satisfied with the results.

I was very pleased with the entire experience. My only suggestion would be that whoever it is that is working on you would introduce themselves. That seems much more personable. She technically did an excellent job on my feet. I highly recommend spending a little more and getting the extended massage pedicure.

Fantastic gel manicure is exactly what I wanted! It is holding up so well 2 weeks later, even while I dig in the garden with reckless abandon. I am not typically a feminine person, but I wanted elegant nails for my engagement ring photos. I was nervous to get a manicure for my v short stubby nails because I had a bad experience at another salon the only other time I tried to get a manicure. Sammi walked me through each step and helped put me at ease, she was so nice. She really did work her magic on my naturally short, wide nails to make them look longer and more elegant. They have various complimentary drinks available and I enjoyed a hot green tea. But next time will indulge in a matcha latte ;) It cost me $50 before tip for the French tip gels! I got so many compliments on my nails, and it’s helping me break my bad habit of nail biting. Now that I know what’s possible, I could get used to having nice nails, yall.

What a lovely nail salon! They have a fantastic assortment of colors/gels/nail art to choose from and their service was excellent. They have a complimentary drink menu which includes cocktails and wine, and they pay attention to the smallest details. They worked from beautiful trays where your sugar scrub and mask lotion is surrounded by sliced oranges and they put flower petals in the little water bowls where your finger nails soak in a milk-white liquid. It felt like full on pampering! They did a great job on both my mani and pedi. Will definitely become a regular!

While waiting for my car at GoodYear , went to explore the surrounding area and saw this really nice nail salon. They are very quick to acknowledge your presence and extremely kind and gentle throughout the process. I wish I live closer because they would be my NEW nail house 🤣❤️❤️❤️
