Ok so I’ve been to so many salons in nyc and have had some good & bad experiences. I have found my place! Beauty by Ilona! First it’s the cutest place with such amazing people who are so kind! Meeting ilona for my color i explained what I wanted and what I didn’t like and she help me understand what was needed, she was just so warm & friendly I left knowing I’ll be back very soon..

I always love come to Ilona's salon! She goes above and beyond to make sure I feel comfortable and love my hair. As a blonde, I'm very particular, but she mastered how to make my hair bright, summery, and yet grow naturally. I also always love catching up with her, she's so personal and friendly. Cannot recommend this enough!

I am new to the city and after a lot of research found Ilona. I got my haircut and I loved what she did as she listened to me. She is extremely kind and very friendly to talk to. The complimentary coffee and hair wash are definitely cherry on top!

Ilona is so great! She’s totally open to give you feedback on what she thinks will work given your hair, and your styling preferences (i.e. if you use heat, low maintenance, etc). I’ve truly never had more beautiful, seamless highlights that have grown out beautifully. She’s very scientific and exact in her work, and it totally shows. She wants you to be happy and she takes a lot of pride in making that happen. Also I love the privacy of her studio, she’s so fun to talk to, and because it’s a semi-private suite you’re not inundated with the sounds of blow dryers and other people talking, so it’s a really relaxing environment.

Ilona is the absolute best. She makes my blonde light, but natural. She gives amazing cuts and is so reasonably priced for being in Chelsea. I have followed her everywhere she works because she’s soooo worth it!

I have been seeing Ilona for a year now and I am so glad I found her. I first went for some blonde highlights which I loved. I recently decided to change it up and again she gave me a lovely natural color. My hair has some damage from previous bad habits but I trust Ilona to be gentle and honest about what my hair can handle. I always look forward to my visit!

Ilona cares about her clients. She is interested in my concerns and is always looking for ways to make any changes I may suggest. Reds area the most difficult to not only find the correct tone but to maintain. Thank you, Ilona! I'm updating my review to say my hair is perfect one year later. Color, cut, styling, I feel so good when I look in the mirror.

Ilona is truly a gem. She has a genuine passion for her work and combines excellent creativity and expertise with great humanity. This is so crucial for me. She cared to create an environment where as a client I felt sincerely appreciated and cared for. I won't be going anywhere else for color again - Ilona is a gem! Really makes you feel like a client and just a number in a big salon. She contacted me before my appointment for tons of detail around what I wanted, and performed a thorough consultation before the appointment and before we started in the shop. I was happy with what I thought was the finished product, but Ilona is a perfectionist and made some improvement to the color to produce an EVEN BETTER result! She makes you feel like you're her only client and for that, she's my go to for as long as she's doing hair!
