I moved to Roxborough in May and had been trying out different hair salons in the area until I found one I liked. I found my salon at Sulimays! Every stylist was so friendly they were all talking to me as if I had been an established client for years. Shayla was my stylist and also did my wife’s hair. She did an amazing job especially considering my wife gets more of a barber cut and I have longer hair so she can do it all. Prices are also very good :). I had my hair cut, shampooed for a solid 10 minute and blow dried and I can tell you Hair Cuttery charged me more for this for a much lesser quality service.

I have been seeing Ashley for years now! Ashley always understands exactly what I am looking for, and I leave feeling amazing every time! I can’t thank her enough with everything I have put her through (changing my hair color quite frequently, from dark to light) and she has never turned me away, which I have experienced before. I have long, thick hair, and she guarantees she schedules enough time so we both don’t feel rushed! I love Sulimay’s and HIGHLY recommend them! I have attached before & after photos to reference the amazing work that is performed in this studio!

My salon in Florida helped me find this salon as I was stopping in Philadelphia for a wedding on the heels of a 2+ week away from home. I knew I’d be in desperate need of color. First of all, every time I called the salon they were super friendly and accommodating. More importantly - I am thrilled with the results of my visit. Phia did a great job with my color (I have resistant gray and she did a thorough job getting it covered) followed by a blow out. I received compliments on my hair all evening from not just friends but strangers including the hotel staff and Uber driver!! Thanks for taking care of me - I know where to find I’m ever in town for a similar situation!

I visited Sulimay's for the first time yesterday for an extremely overdue cut/partial highlights and Claire did a phenomenal job. I hadn't cut my hair in over 3 years since moving back to Philly, largely due to fear of trying a new stylist, but Claire put my mind at ease. She was personable, easy to talk to and kept my goals in mind while providing new ideas and suggestions. Don't let her fresh face or age fool you, the girl has serious talent! The studio also has a great ambiance, laid back vibe, and the other stylists were very friendly. Thank you for reviving my hair and restoring my confidence in a new stylist. I'll be back!

I really enjoyed my experience at Sulimay’s on Main. Shanya was excellent and took the time to listen to me about what I wanted for my haircut. After she did the haircut, I asked if she could cut 1-2 more inches since I didn’t realize I wanted more than I had said. I really appreciate her taking the time to cut my hair again to the length I was happy with. Shanya was also very helpful in helping me find products to use at home to keep my hair healthy. Overall a great experience and will be going back for my next cut. I am happy I found a salon I am confident in!

I always despise having getting my hair cut but this place is nice. The people are nice and do a beautiful job. I don’t want to wash my hair :-) Jacquelyn has done my hair twice now and I really love the patience she has in styling it.

I came here for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was such a great experience. I actually got sick while at the appointment and everyone working checked in on me regularly to make sure I was okay and to grab me water. I have been coming to Sulimay’s Salon in Manayunk for many years. From mens and ladies haircuts to special occasion hairdos to makeup and color—they do it all. I look forward to my appointments with Ashley as a highlight of my month. Whatever I ask, Ash will listen and consult me with her vast knowledge. I am always thrilled with the results - colors and cuts and styles. Also incredible makeup. All of the stylists are friendly and talented. Through the years, I have gotten styled and blown-out by Cara and Nancy and Shayla and Jacklyn in addition to Ashley — all are experienced artists who listen and deliver just what you are looking for. You really can’t go wrong at Sulimays. If you are looking for bridal services, I highly recommend the team. They are fabulous and unflappable. My daughters wedding party was thrilled with their day of beauty.

The worst haircut I’ve ever gotten. I notified the salon that I wanted a refund because of how bad this looked and they told me it’s “their policy” to not refund and they would onloffer “adjustments.” It’s not even a matter of me not liking the haircut, it’s the fact it’s completely butchered and the policy needs to change. Not pictured is the back of my hair where it has a “shelf” cut and wasn’t cut straight. This couldn’t even be fixed without taking multiple inches off to fix the hole. I am disappointed to say the least.

I wanted my hairstyle from Toronto "refreshed," and Shayla at Sulimay did just what I asked her to do. I am perfectly satisfied.
