Ooof, well that was a waste of $100 and 90 minutes of my time. I have had a lot of massages, with a range of incredible to awful, and this place ranks way down towards the bottom. Asked to focus on specific areas and she proceeded with a standard massage, and did not even do that well. Good thing I paid up front w the tip, I would not have left a tip after that sorry excuse of a massage. Almost just got off the table and left. Language can be an issue at some places, but she spoke English very well. Stay away, SO many other places to visit.

I called them on 8/16/23. And was 5 mini down the road. I spoke to the lady she said to come by for appointment. I made it there in 5 minutes went to front desk and the lady says, whoever took your call she don’t understand English. This is bad business and a waste of my time. If I arrive to appointment ON TIME you are supposed to be ready for service. I’m so tired of the community in Asian massage. They lie and people waste their gas and time and make appointments and when you arrive it becomes unavailable or they say I’m sorry. Maybe try back in a hour. This is poor business practice and people should not have to do business this way.

I have driven by Sunrise for many years since I work and live nearby. I have been receiving regular massages at Lifetime in Frontenac which is great but at their price point it’s tough to justify on a regular basis. I decided to stop in to Sunrise just to check it out and if ok make an appointment. The lady who greeted me was very nice and I saw that an hour massage was half of what I typically pay. I asked to make an appointment. She left to speak with someone and returned to ask cash or credit. I was surprised and delighted that they could take me immediately. She let me know upfront that there would be a $2 convenience charge for credit card which I completely understand. I was lead into my room which was comfortably lighted, heated and appointed. The only request I would make is for an ankle bolster as I tend to cramp when my feet are flat. My therapist, Coco came in the room and began the massage in typical fashion. She did not speak English well but could communicate the important things like how much pressure I preferred. I would guess after 45 minutes or so of a really good massage where I fought off falling asleep and my nose running from the lymphatic release Coco left the room without saying anything. I waited for awhile and decided to look at the clock. I was guessing it was getting close to 50 minutes which at some places that’s considered an hour massage. So I got up and started to get dressed. Coco came back in the room and communicated that she wasn’t done and pointed to a basin with a towel. I laid back down and was absolutely surprised and excited by hot stone therapy! She followed this with a hot towel wipe down to remove all of the oils. She then went on to perform shiatsu and stretching for another 10 minutes before she was done. This is the type of massage I’ve only received at places like the Four Seasons and Ritz. I will say that I definitely got my money’s worth and was more than happy to tip well. And I will say that tipping was never even mentioned unlike was stated by a previous reviewer. I now have another option for massage and at this price point can justify on a more regular basis. I paid for a 1 hour body massage with a 1 hour foot massage. I haven't felt this good and relaxed in a long time. The ladies at these asian massage places often rely heavily on tips for their income. I tip $10 per half hour. They are worth it and it is expected. Massage is hard work.

If you like massages where they try to get money from you the whole massage this is the place. Also the women are 90 years old! Do not go there!! Terrible

Incredible massage, good prices, basic relaxing atmosphere, language barrier made making the appointment a little lengthy, but were able to work me in for a same day appointment. So thankful! I have always used the massage chain salons in the past, but they are always booked and I can never get an appointment when I need it most. Consider Sunrise. I will be going there again.

The massage and ambiance were great! Had to pay for services prior to massage (big no no for me). They barely speak English, difficult to communicate; however, they had NO problem asking for a tip. Charged $2.00 for using credit card. Followed me outside to my car because I refused to leave a tip because she asked for one! Not the quality of service I’m accustom too! Never again!!!!!

I have been to this place three times. After my first massage I requested a specific person who when I got there the second time was “out of town”. I wasn’t even offered the common courtesy to receive a call, I was just thrown in with a different person. My third and last experience was the icing on the cake. As someone else has mentioned in their review, the lady at the front desk literally bullies you into paying a $20 tip. Very rude and uncomfortable and has caused me to seek out other businesses where I’m not being forcefully coerced into paying a $20 tip after every service. I want to feel relaxed after I pay for services rendered, not uncomfortable and disrespected. This completely soured my experience.

The massage is really great here. But I wish they would just charge regular prices. They charge you lower prices than a regular massage parlor, but then lightweight bully you for a big tip at the end. “Tip me $20 dollar” she says. I was going to give her $15, then the lady at the front desk.. says “ no you should give her $20!” I gave her the $20 because it felt like she was probably getting slave wages on the backend. The way she kept begging me was so sad. And for this place to be in a classy neighborhood and have that kind of business etiquette is crazy to me!

They only make black ppl pay up front the lady at the front desk tried harassing me for 20 more dollars in tips this place needs to be investigating to see if the workers are illegal I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone

This is my fourth time coming here, no issues in the past. The foot massage itself was great but they tried to jack the price up at the end when we paid. The prices are clearly written on a clipboard. When we paid, they added 7$ to the service we got. I would suggest paying first if you chose to go here. I won’t be back.

This is the place to go the lady's in here are a god send. They didn't rush and literally worked every knot out of my husband and my body. I'm bring my kids next. It's definitely a family affair!!!

Went and paid for foot massage $45 for one hour..They take your payment before your services which I didnt like. They had me soak my feet in hot water for 20mins and massage was 40mins. I didnt pay for a hot water soak I paid for a massage! Very misleading advertising! I will not be back!

Yall out here bad mouthing this place cuz yall confusing it with another. I went yesterday and li li was amazing. My backs never been this relaxed, i do roofing for a living. Always bent over to clean up or install shingles, VERY hard labor. Its intensive for your back and legs and she did an amazing job. Yall just crazy.

I estimate that I've probably had between 250 to 300 massages in my life because my back stays pretty messed up from sitting in an office chair for over 35 years now. Sunrise is my main place to go but I have a backup and I've been to other places around St. Louis. Yesterday Lili gave me one of the top 3 massages I've ever had. Massages aren't always pleasurable if you have back problems especially if you're already in pain when you get there. You can tell when someone knows what they're doing when they spend extra time on your problem area without you telling them where it is. This was not my first massage from her but it keeps getting better and better.

They beat my sister and i to where we were bruised we wanted a relaxing neck and back light massge they gave both of us deep tissue and gave my sister hot rocks without asking she hated it we paid for it b4 but when we left they wanted tip or they will do their own on ur credit card i hated this place will never go back

Tried to call to ask for prices for a 1 hour to 1.5 massage and lady hung up on me. Tried calling back thinking we just got disconnected but no answer very unprofessional.
