I am definitely what you'd call a picky customer when it comes to my hair. For one it's super fine, so making it look like something other than a scraggly mess is a challenge and adding to that my skin basically soaks up hair colour so avoiding stains requires a diligence and care for details that few hair stylists I've ever tried possess. So when I tell you that Sharon is different, you better believe it. I found her (after some trial and error) when I moved to NYC 9 years ago and I have never looked any further. She's a highly skilled professional. And on a more personal note, in addition to being an amazing hair stylist, Sharon is one of the absolute loveliest people you'll ever meet. She is kind, bubbly, and carries the sweetest heart. An appointment with Sharon won't simply be a gift for your hair, it's a break for your soul to soak up some really beautiful energy. Book her and you'll be posting a review like this one years from now, because by then you'll know what I'm talking about 💜

Fantastic salon. Got my haircut by Harry while on holiday, I can't praise this place enough. Friendly, experienced, and all round excellent quality. My only complaint is that I live 3000 miles away!

Swank is the best salon I’ve ever visited, in terms of talent, value and kind staff. Tania, Sharon and Kasha are all extremely skilled with artful color and cuts, as well as very intuitive if you have thick, curly, hard-to-manage hair. I’ve been coming to Swank for almost 20 years, and I don’t think I’d ever trust anyone else with my problem hair.

By far the best colorist in NYC is Sharon Boothe of Swank in the West Village. When I came back to the US after months in Africa, my hair was dry and as brittle as a haystack, and within 2 hours, she had not only fixed the color beautifully but knew just what to do to restore the moisture, and had tons of fantastic advice on how to maintain it. Great experience!!!! Highly recommended!!!!

I've been a loyal customer to swank for five years now. Sharon does an excellent job cutting my hair and is a pleasure to chat with. Definitely the place to go for a great haircut in the West village.
