My first experience at Swanky Nails has kept me going back for the past year; I am now a regular and a total fan. One Saturday, I remember calling different nail salons in River North, seeing if any of them had availability that day. Most salons had zero appointments available--some didn't even answer the phone. Swanky Nails not only was able to squeeze me in on a very busy Saturday, but the care and attention to detail that I received has kept me going back, time and again. They also greet me by name when I arrive, which is always a nice feeling. I love their online booking system. It's easy to use and hassle-free. Perfect for those days when you don't even have a spare minute to spend on the phone. Phong is my guy. He is meticulous, kind, funny, professional and has a great eye for style and nail colors. His precision is impeccable; I always have a wonderful, calming experience with him. If you are in the River North area, I highly recommend Swanky Nails. You'll be hooked!

My friend and I want there together and we BOTH got nail infections. this place is kinda dirty, they need to wipe down the nail bar and underneath.

I was a bit nervous since it was my first time getting my nails done, but I was warmly welcomed and made to feel completely comfortable. The service was quick, and Phong Le did an amazing job—I absolutely love my nails! The pricing is very affordable, yet the quality of the products, cleanliness, and service are top-notch. It's definitely a 5-star experience, and I highly recommend them for beautiful nails!

Alex is the absolute best!!!! He takes his time and puts passion and creativity into each set he has done for me. Together we come up with a unique and beautiful set each time! There are two pictures there of my orange set. I wanted to capture the beauty on each hand and show off the gold chrome! I get so many compliments! Everyone in this salon are very kind, welcoming, and look forward to seeing each client again! Each set of nails are a blank canvas and when I sit in his chair I know the finish result will be a masterpiece. Thank you all for excellent service each time! See you again soon

I absolutely love Swanky Nails! I get my nails done by Kevin, and he always exceeds my expectations. He takes his time, pays attention to every detail, and makes sure I’m 100% happy with my nails before I leave. The service is amazing, and my nails always turn out flawless. Highly recommend

Very rude! I had a 930am Tuesday appointment, confirmed via text, and they weren’t open when I got there at 9:28am. Google and their website says opens at 9:30am, so I called after waiting a few minutes and they said someone would be there soon. 10 minutes later I call and say I have an appointment and the door is still locked and they reply “ok, so what?” At this point I left. You’re not going to waste my time and be rude about it. It’s 8 degrees and snowing outside and you have, rightfully, lost my business. Another girl came up during this time and said it’s a common occurrence that they’re late and don’t care. She left for a neighboring salon after waiting with me.

Alex is the one and only nail tech I have ever been loyal to - he is truly the best. He is an acrylics wizard and pays such close attention to detail. His work is unmatched and I will miss getting my nails done with him now that I’ve moved from Chicago. 10/10 person and nail artist, cannot recommend him enough

Came to Swanky to find my new “home” nail salon. This place is just it!! Kevin is my go-to for dip nails. They last me around a MONTH & look so natural. I’m usually in and out in an hour & he takes pride in his work. Couldn’t recommend Kevin & Swanky enough!!

I started coming to swanky 1.5 years ago from a referral, and I’ve never turned back! Kevin does such an amazing job (and Alex is great too!). Kevin puts so much care into shaping each individual nail, and my nails feel fresh and perfect after every appointment. I even had Kevin do a French mani for my wedding in October. I love swanky!

So disappointed with my underarm wax. I haven’t gotten my nails done here so I can only say my experience getting waxed but it was horrible. I would give 0 if I could. She waxed my underarm hairs in the WRONG direction! If they are going to offer waxing they need to know what they are doing which they don’t. Barely any of the hairs were taken out, so she started pulling them out with the tweezer and I could see them breaking instead of being removed by the root. I am so upset

Excellent facility, service and skill. My nails look perfect and hold up well. I have only had Kevin as my nail technician and he is the best! My nails always look perfect when I leave there and it is quick.

The salon in general can have its misses (sometimes even if you make appointment, a huuuge wait) but Nancy is SO GOOD! These are dip and super thin, such nice shape (she didn’t have much to work with bc my nails were short) and perfect by the cuticle. She is great

This is my favorite nail place in the city. The staff is friendly and talented, the space is clean and pretty, and I am always impressed with their work! I trusted them for my wedding mani-pedi after many perfectly done appointments! Highly recommend!!

Nice nail salon with lots of space and windows. Easy to make reservations and plenty of street parking. Treated myself to mani/pedi for birthday and then went to dinner close by. Mani/pedi took me into vacation two weeks later with a great shine.

Not good - Based on 2 dip manicures (one mediocre, one comically bad) and one regular manicure (also bad). The dip manicure was bad because it was lumpy, just poor smoothing over, as well as uneven inconsistent French tips. Also very rough in the removal (I’ve been getting them done a while I feel like I have perspective). The regular manicure was bad because of uneven application of the color and more important the top coat was not applied to the entire nail, so there’s a shiny smooth patch in the centre with visible misses on the sides.

Swanky Nails is my go-to nail salon! Alex is fantastic and always makes my dip nails long, strong and beautiful. He shapes them perfectly, provides recommendations on colors, and always ensures my nails are thin. His manicures last 4+ weeks with rarely any breaking, and he would even reinforce them when he know I had a big month ahead. I also appreciate that Alex takes his time to make sure the nails are durable and perfect every time. He does lotion and a hand massage as a bonus - you can tell he cares about his clients! I moved out of state and am planning on coming back to Alex every time I am in town - he's that good! The pricing is also fair, if not lower than other salons. For a dip manicure, I paid $50/month including take off services. Swanky Nails employees are always welcoming and accommodating, and the salon is clean.

This was probably the worst mani/pedi I have had in my life. The woman who did my manicure was incredibly rude and although I asked for a dip manicure, I'm pretty sure I got some type of acrylic. It took my new nail salon a long time to get it off. I would not recommend this place at all.
