I LOVE LOVE LOVE coming here and so does my fiancé. One of the reasons why I keep coming back is because they put your hair health first. No tight braiding, no pulling and my style always comes out flawless. Also, everyone is always so warm and friendly.

I’ve VERY pleased with my first experience at Swella. I booked medium box braids. Everyone was very cordial and timely. My complimentary shampoo was wonderful. Katia did an EXCELLENT job braiding my hair. She made sure I was comfortable and checked in to make sure I liked the color and length. She even stood on a stool to make sure my part was perfect. The salon is very quiet and relaxing. It’s pricey, but you get what you pay for. I’ll be back!

A relaxing and luxurious experience. The customer service was excellent from the time I booked my appointment till I left with my beauty new style. I enjoyed my stress-free experience. It was a WOW! Definitely will be back. Special thanks to Anya who helped with my initial hair selection, shampoo, condition and blowout. Shout out thanks to Autumn who was my braid stylist. She took time upfront to discuss my expectations. Great conversation, gentle braiding, explained the various stages of the braiding process and laughter. Loved the vibe, music and the fact they started in time!!

Efficient and beautiful finished look. Stylist are professional and timely. I was out 30 minutes early and my hair was perfect. The hair was already separated when my stylist started and the shampoo/blow-dry made it so easy for me to just show up for my appointment. Other conveniences made the time fly by - water and tea station, lap desks for my laptop. My braided was kind and didn’t mind me working the whole time.

Hands down, the best salon experience that I've had! I traveled over 4 hours for the appointment, and the experience was worth ever mile. The organization between the staff members was phenomenal. The communication leading up to, and following the appointment was excellent. The stylist during the appointment was just as focused and precise on the last braid as she was on the first. The atmosphere of the salon was peaceful and professional. From the moment I walked in, I knew I had made a good decision in booking with Swella. Now I can't wait to go back!

I had a great experience at Swella. My braider was professional, courteous and timely with completing my style. The style is what I asked for and I don’t have any complaints about the craftsmanship. This is place is perfect for easy convenient booking for a basic style. Will definitely rebook when I just need a simple style. Update: After a few days of wear, the ends started to unravel. This means the hair wasn’t retrenched, the hair wasn’t prepped or the ends weren’t seal correctly. I’m still happy with the style, but slightly disappointed in the durability.

I read the reviews and looked on IG at the styles and I decided to book an appointment with Katia. I was met at the door by SheQuita with a big smile and “Good morning”! That set the tone for the rest of my experience. After a relaxing wash/deep conditioning of my hair, she blow dried me and I was off to Katia’s station where she too was waiting with a smile. The salon was so beautiful and had the smooth sounds of R&B playing in the background. There were 3 other stylist braiding, focused solely on their clients. No one was gossiping or talking loud, which was so refreshing. Katia confirmed the color and began braiding my hair. After the first braid she asked if it was the correct length and then it was on. Her fingers went to work!!! What I loved most was, other than letting me know when she had to step away, she let me watch my shows on my laptop.(no awkward conversations 😂) She offered me drinks/snacks and before I knew it she was done. Extremely professional and her braiding skills exceeded my expectations! I love my hair, small cinnamon boho braids! Thank you ShaQuita and Katia!

I had a wonderful experience at Swella in Atlanta. I just needed some TLC and the team went above and beyond. My hair was washed and conditioned and detangled gently. When the team blow dried my hair they did not use extreme heat and continued to be gentle. For my cornrows she consistently asked for feedback and showed me my parts and braids before and throughout the styling. She was gentle as well! Which — if you got cornrows growing up from your mom you know they are not always gentle! Lol. (Love my mother) I was reading and was offered a book stand so I did not have to strain and was offered tasty snacks, candy, water and tea throughout the service. (The cinnamon tea is fantastic!!) The salon was very clean with chic and modern tools and decor. There was easy and free parking in the garage nearby. I would definitely recommend this shop especially if you want someone else to either braid with added hair or with your natural hair. I will return.

I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. My appointment started on time and I was there for the 6 hours I expected to be. My stylist, Autumn P, is what really enhanced the experience. She was prompt, professional, accommodating, meticulous and just a kind person. I am also 100% happy with my braids. I only have 2 complaints: 1) Upon entering, I wasn't greeted, which is a huge no for me. The employee opened the door and walked away. 2) The restroom could have been cleaner.

Overall, I had a great experience at Swella Beauty in Atlanta. Booking was easy and the pricing was transparent. They sent very clear instructions on how to prep your hair and where to park prior to my appointment. The salon is clean and modern. All the staff were prompt and courteous. I opted for the complimentary wash and blow dry, and am so glad I did! My stylist, Katia, was friendly and professional. She checked in to make sure I was comfortable and happy with my style throughout the service. I absolutely love how my braids came out! I will definitely be going back and recommending them to my friends!

Today (11/17/24) was my first visit to Swella Braid Bar. Upon arrival, I was welcomed by one of the stylists, who kindly assisted me in entering the facility after I mistakenly entered the wrong code on the keypad. I was instructed to take a seat, and assured that someone would attend to me shortly. Although I arrived three minutes early for my 12:00pm appointment, I didn't start my service until a few minutes past noon. The wait was manageable, and I decided to opt for the wash service along with Knotless braids. My hair was thoroughly shampooed, conditioned, and blow-dried. Soon after, I was invited to sit in the stylist's chair. I am delighted with the results of my braids; they turned out fantastic! My stylist was gentle and demonstrated excellent skill throughout the process. I will definitely return for future services.

Exactly as advertised. After seeing them on instagram for months I finally decided to book. Everyone and everything was professional from the booking to the arrival to the complementary wash to the braiding. I could not have been more satisfied. This is for the girlies who have a hectic lifestyle and need professional set up and follow up . The prices reflect the extra care and professionalism that they provide. I also love my hair and will be back.

Swella is an experience!! Making an appointment is simple, they start on time, feed you snacks, play good music and everybody is so nice! Most importantly, they do an amazing job on my braids and I love that they offer wash and blow dry services so that i can truly just “come as I am”. Highly recommend!
