*Long post. Moral of story, see Jennifer to have the hair of your dreams and feel recharged.* I have had my haircut every type of salon, high to low end and everything in between. Typically, when I find a stylist with a high level skill set with impeccable customer service, the salon tends to be....pretentious. The price I pay to get good hair at those types of places is often times feeling disconnected from the stylist and not having an authentic experience. Not wanting to head to Boston for each hair appointment, I searched for a local place. I tried many. None offered good hair in a salon where I felt like I was a valued customer. And then.... I found Sydney's Hair Salon. Owner Jennifer Gill is not only a master hair stylist and colorist...she's a fabulous business owner with vision. In curating a true vibe of empowerment and wanting folks to feel good about themselves, she's created a salon that is so good it's rarely found. It's inviting, inspiring, clean, and consistently delivers a hair experience that makes you feel special. I came to the salon after a long day. I looked like I had a long day. My hair had 5" roots and no styling. I was treated like I was on a very unpretentious red carpet. I was served some of the best customer service I've received across all industries. Consultation was so thorough. No judgement. She asked good questions. She explained the way she interpreted by goal look from specifics about color to how long I want my daily maintenance to be. I came without too much directions and she translated that into a vision (that alone is NO small task). She offered ideas and shared realistic expectations of what I could accomplish in getting the color I want. Color and cut was quick but not rushed in the least. She offered a balance of authentic conversation with periods where she let me relax. I always felt like I was the center of the experience and steered the level of interaction. She transformed my neglected hair into something I was excited about. I felt gorgeous. To say she took my inspo picture and delivered something better (because it works with my lifestyle) is an understatement. As good as the color and cut was (and it was 10/10), I think the more impactful part, was the entire experience I had with Jennifer and how she made me feel. She gets hair, but she gets people too. I left the salon feeling like I was recharged. It felt like meeting up with a friend while also being pampered at a spa. And I loved that she honors her uncles for starting Sydney's and their contributions in supporting her as a stylist and business owner.

I have the great pleasure of being one of Jennifer Gill’s clients at Sydney’s Hair Salon in Sudbury. I am incredibly grateful to have found her! She is truly special. Not only is Jennifer is an absolutely phenomenal colorist, and stylist, she is an incredibly warm, caring, and positive person. Her talent to improve the way I feel leaving her salon is priceless and unique. She is so gifted in her understanding that her clients’ feeling beautiful is part of their looking beautiful, and she helps us achieve both. It has been well over a year since I made the leap from my previous upscale salon where I had been a loyal client for many years. While I loved my previous stylist, I became increasingly disappointed in the services and the salon overall. All of the staff were friendly, but the sinks were overbooked, the assistants were still learning and as a result, hit or miss. Clients with appointments scheduled ahead of mine, in addition to my own appointments, began to run later and later. There was lots of “waiting” for appointments to start, for sinks, to end, and then even to just check out. Although I was happy with my hair, I was stressed and frustrated by the inconsistency of one appointment to the next. I felt more like an appointment than a valued client. I had long before heard of Jennifer’s stellar reputation and I had seen the result of her color talents on other clients. I decided to take a chance and reach out. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself. I lost nothing by leaving the other salon and gained everything booking with Jennifer. I only wish I had done it sooner. From the moment I stepped foot into Jennifer’s airy, refreshing, relaxing, and spotless salon, I knew I had found the salon I had long hoped for. The team at Sydney’s sincerely care for one another, and for each client that comes through, tending to each personally and promptly. They are truly a team and that yields an incredibly positive experience for me as a client. Every time I’m at Sydney’s, the time flies by. Jennifer is reliable, consistent, friendly, and punctual. Jennifer is a consummate professional; ALWAYS. I absolutely look forward to each and every appointment because I always leave feeling my best inside and out.

I highly recommend Sydney’s! I absolutely love getting my hair done by Jennifer. My haircuts are always exactly as requested. She also always makes sure I’m happy with the results before I leave ❤️ Jenn is genuinely committed to making sure you have a good experience. I have also gotten my hair and make up done by Dalci for a few photo shoots and she never disappoints! I’ve gotten so many compliments with her work! Sydney’s Salon is so warm and welcoming. The salon was renovated not to long ago and I have to say I always leave with a huge smile!

Jen is a delight and very client-oriented. She’s brought the salon’s decor up to date so that it is bright yet calming and welcoming. The other stylists seem highly qualified and personality-wise a great fit for the salon. And I know it’s a small thing, but I really appreciate the automated appointment reminders. I recommend!!

I have been seeing Jennifer Gill the owner of Sydney’s Hair Salon for over 10 years, as has my family. She has been cutting, and coloring our hair in a professional and respectful manner all this time. Once she started as our stylist we never stopped seeing her. She can come up with ideas and help with styles when you want a change. She has always done exactly as we requested and we have never worried that we were going to end up with something completely different than that which we had asked for. Even during these times of COVID-19 she has been open as the state has allowed and has followed all protocols. I have never worried about what we might be walking into. She does such an amazing job and I can not recommend her enough. If you are looking for something new or are not happy where you are going now, I recommend going to Sydney’s Hair Salon and seeing Jennifer. You will never walk out unhappy! Our hair is such an important part of our identity and she can help you bring out the personality you want to shine through to others! 😃

Jenn has been my hair cutter for years. I followed her from place-to-place; now to her own salon. Not only are her cuts what I want, she's wonderfully consistent. And, she knows her clients, so I never need to repeat my preferences. She's a fun person, too, which makes visits something I look forward to.

Jennifer is incredible. I have never walked away from an appointment anything less than thrilled. The salon is always clean, well run, and full of many smiling faces. Jennifer was excellent! She gave me the exact trim, layering and color I wanted! This was my first time seeing her and I am beyond pleased! She was also great to hangout and talk with :) I can’t wait to continue seeing her going forward now that I’ll be living nearby. She gave my hair new life!!!

Getting my hair cut at Sydney's by Jennifer Gill is something I look forward to. Jennifer does and amazing job. It was my first time getting a short haircut i showed her what I wanted and i been so happy with my haircut and styling. Loved the environment everyone always nice. Appointments are always on time. Also, in this time of COVID-19 I really appreciate the safety measures they take to make sure we are as protected as possible. If you are considering trying out a new stylist you have to make an appointment with Jennifer Jill. 💕

I’ve been going to Sydney’s to see Jen for years, without fail, I always feel beautiful when I walk out the door after my appointment. I used to go to other salons and couldn’t plan to go out right from the salon, I’d have to go right home to fix the styling. I have NEVER felt like I needed to do that with Jen, it’s always absolutely completely perfect. I’ve gone once since COVID started (because I take it very seriously and generally don’t go anywhere) and I felt safe in the shop. Everyone wears masks, no one takes them off. It’s all mindfully done. Absolutely e x c e p t i o n a l experiences, every single time I go. Thanks for being so amazing!!

Just moved here from Florida, my daughter gave me Jennifer’s name and I made an appointment. I was nervous because I like multiple hair highlights. Jennifer made sure she knew what I was looking for and that’s exactly how I wanted my hair. She even improved my hair style by cutting more layers in the back to prevent bed head. I’ve been back 2 times and each time I enjoy her work and her personality.

Sydney's was an experience! I rarely have my hair done in a salon so I went in a bit nervous, but Jennifer made the experience relaxing and fun. She was warm, professional and really took the time to explain the process of things to me. Not to mention, she turned my mop into a masterpiece! A hair salon for everyone. 10/10
