I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience. I’ve been coming here for over a year and have always trusted my stylist, but my last visit on November 7th was unacceptable. I went in for my regular root touch-up, which includes bleaching and toning my money piece. Typically, everything goes smoothly, and I’ve never had issues before. However, this time was different. During my appointment, another client was also there, and I wish the stylist hadn’t double-booked so she could have focused more on my hair. After being placed under heat during the bleaching process, I believe I was left there for too long. When the toning, washing, and blow-drying were finished, I went to check my hair in the bathroom like I always do. To my shock, my roots were partly orange and uneven—one side wasn’t fully colored like the other. When I pointed this out to my stylist, she insisted it’s “always like that,” but I know that’s not true. I always check my hair after my appointments, and it has never looked like this. A day or two later, I noticed something even worse: my hair was broken—not just a little, but significantly damaged. This was devastating for me because I love my money piece and now I might have to dye it back to my original hair color to hide the damage. When I messaged my stylist about the issue, she told me that she doesn’t think we should keep going lighter to avoid further damage. While I appreciate her honesty, I wish she would have communicated this before my appointment, as I am very understanding and always want what’s best for my hair. I asked for a partial or full refund, considering the damage caused and the $90 I paid for the service, but I was only refunded $25. This is incredibly disappointing, and I will not be returning.

I used Tina at T hair salon for 2-3 years. Until one time she bleached my hair to the extent that it was coming out in pieces. It was horrifying and I had to file the complaint with the state. Tina never apologized and requested a sign paper that I’ll never complain about that experience anymore to the state. It was horrifying and humiliating. After 3 years since that scary day my hair is back to normal but I never go back there again. She did also my hair extensions too by the way. She does great job the 1st time and after that it slides down.

I’ve been coming to T Hair Salon, primarily seeing Tina, for about 10 years. I started coming after my friend who used to do my hair moved away. So Tina colored, cut, and highlighted my hair for about 2 years then I decided to grow out my white hair and she has been cutting and occasionally low lighting my hair since then. I love Tina’s work on my hair and I’m so glad I found her. She always communicates promptly and tries to accommodate me, even when I have last minute requests. Thank you, Tina!

I’ve been doing my haircuts with Tina for 5+ years. I’ve also gotten extensions and hair color. She always does an amazing job and truly cares about the health of you hair! Highly recommend.

Tina has been cutting my hair for almost 10 years now. I have never left dissatisfied. She always takes her time and makes sure you are happy with what you are getting. Her shampoo and head massages are also amazing. She has certainly proven her skills, not just with my hair, but from what I've seen with my mom, dad and brother as well. She is great and I will continue coming back to her.

Until I came here I did not know what detail and dedication was for my hair. I have had many lengthy and expensive hair treatments in the past and none of them come close to the thoroughness that Tina goes through. In the past 6 years that Ive been going to get my hair done with Tina, I received nothing but compliments. My hair always looks amazing each time I go, and my expectations are always exceeded.

First time getting my haircut since moving to Houston. I was a little nervous using someone that I didn’t know, but Tina did an amazing job on my hair! Tina was very professional and friendly. Place was clean and organized. I will definitely refer my friends to her and will be returning for regular hair trims!

I have been coming to this place for over 6 months now. I have had nothing but great experiences every time. Everyone that works here is friendly and skilled. I get a fade each time and all three people here have done a wonderful job with my hair cuts. Definitely a good spot to come to for a men's cut, especially if you aren't looking to spend the amount that a typical barber would charge you.

Always have a terrific experience here. Tina is amazing & does a great job- cut, color or chemicals - whatever - everything she has ever done to my hair has been awesome. And my hair is super fine so it’s not always easy to work on! Prices are very fair also

I am local, I have gone there a few times to get my hair done. My hair is naturally curly, but as I aged, my hair started to get heavy and straighten out. I decided to go it for a spiral curl. (1st) They dont know what a spiral perm is. They gave me an Afro. The owner said it was the size of the curler. so I came back yesterday after one year to get it fixed. Thinking "Ok maybe I should have known what size of a curler I needed it. So we picked out a slightly larger curler. It took her longer to put the curling rods in my hair then she applying the solution to my hair. In less than 10 minutes she pulled the curlers out.. When I said "wait a minute why are you taking the curlers out" she said because I have highlights. I said " I have had highlights the last 10 years and the highlights I have is NOT heat activated. She kept saying my hair would fall out.. Now I have had my hair permed several times in 10 years. never have I had anyone tell me that. And NEVER have I had my hair fall out by following the directions. I said.. "Did you use a cheaper version of perm solution?" because my hair looks flat on top, and like Giorgio Tsoukalos off Ancient Aliens "Im not saying it was Alien's but it was Aliens" I was charged $140 dollars for her to damage my hair. Then on my way out she wants to complain I wanted a refund. She gave me a refund on my perm, and charged me 40 dollars for a hack job haircut that when I try to atleast straighten my hair.. its all chopped up and uneven. I am having to buy a wig now.. so thanks.

Overpriced and mediocre. This salon is WAY overpriced. $200 for a simple cut, root color, and basic highlights is expensive especially considering that the stylists' skills do not come close to justifying the cost. The highlights were average, and the cut was not what I asked for and improperly blended. If you are a woman, I suggest choosing a different salon.

If you're a guy at least-make sure the haircut you want is easy to communicate and easy to do. I feel bad for anyone who wants something complex done here. I went here a few times thinking maybe the next visit would be better, but it wasn't. 1st time: I ask for a 2 guard on sides and 3 inches long on top. I say do not mess with neckline the stylist says okay, does most of the haircut, then starts buzzing my hairline without asking. I ask her to stop she said "it grow back don't worry", and also buzzed my neckline. Had hairs sticking out that did not get cut 2nd time: Same cut, I ask them not to touch neckline or hairline SOMEHOW SAME ISSUE, I think most of the stylists here are not very good with English. Had hairs sticking out that did not get cut 3rd time: Same cut, I say don't touch hairline. I get a guy this time and he understood me well enough. Had hair sticking out that did not get cut It is simple but important, if the staff can't understand what I ask for most of the time why should I come? How hard is it to buzz the sides and back and have hairs not stick out 1 inch? Getting your hair cut here os like opening a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get-even if you ask for it. Maybe they're better at women's hair
