I started going for the hair now I stay for Lizz! My results are amazing (mixed, curly, dry hair) and she is meticulous. I make the drive from Vancouver to Portland and won’t give her up. She is so sweet and funny. The system they use for the fumes means no more tears or harsh smells! 10/10

I notice my hair texture changing this last year. My hairdresser Kim, (Owner Gossamer Salon) recommend a Keratin treatment and she said she has a couple of clients that have gone to TAME + glossy. I made an appointment with Lizz. She was fantastic. She walked me through the process and made me feel very comfortable. She is very friendly and we chatted the entire time. When it was finished, I looked in the mirror and I had tears in my eyes. My hair was back!!! It looks so amazing. Lizz even sent me before and after pictures. Thank you so much. See you in the Spring for my next treatment.

Thankful to have found this place for my first Keratin treatment with Liz. Not only is she incredibly skilled and flawless in her work, but I truly enjoyed chatting and bonding with her throughout the entire process. Lizz is my girl!!! I’ve been to her 2x time now and am beyond satisfied with her work. My hair feels super healthy, the keratin lasted all 3 months, and it actually grew so much since the first time I saw her because I don’t have to use as much heat on my hair. I have mixed hair (black and Filipino) and I honestly don’t trust too many people with it. She is someone I’m going to keep going to as long as I’m in PDX. She’s super knowledgeable on hair in general and will recommend products based on your hair type. Also, she’s so fun to catch up with and radiates the most positive energy. Love her to pieces! Can’t wait to see her again in 3 months 💗

It’s was not as straight after I washed my hair. I have lots of hair but she didn’t take enough time to separate it in thin locks of hair to iron it. The treatment did slightly reduce the volume but definitely not make it straight. I felt sad because I really had high hopes since they said they’re specialized in keratin treatments. (It’s not the first time I’ve done a keratin treatment so I know how it should look like after washing my hair)

Best experience that I had, lizz was my stylist today, I felt so welcomed, we talked through the entire Karetin treatment, I really enjoyed her time she definitely made the experience way better, The hair came out stupendously amazing very shiny and smooth looked like life was back in my hair 🙃😊 Don’t have any before pictures but my hair is curly and thick was walking around with a big cha cha chia chia pet on my head😂 Thank you Lizz again can’t wait for the next treatment

Before I even went to the salon, I was impressed by what I read about the ventilation system. I was not disappointed! If you have a chemical sensitivity like I do, this is the place to go. I had no concerns the entire time. Lizz was fantastic. I felt at home from the get go, and she was interesting and fun to talk with. She helped me double check all my products to make sure they were safe for keratin, which was a big relief. It was clear she is very skilled, and I was super impressed with how thoroughly and precisely she paid attention to every detail. The results were fantastic, beyond even what I thought was possible. My whole experience was wonderful, from the easy booking, transparent pricing, and easy-to-access location. I can't recommend tame + glossy enough. I can't imagine a better first keratin experience.

I’ve been getting regular keratin treatments by Katlyn/Katie for a few years now. I look forward to seeing her every time! She always provides great service and expertise and I feel like she’s become a dear friend of mine. I recently saw her employee Lizz because Katie is on maternity leave and had a great experience with her as well. Katie was the first person I found in Oregon who did keratin treatments like I was used to back in California. She is a true gem and I don’t think I could ever go without my keratin treatments and visits to tame and glossy every 4 months!

My hair is curly and frizzy, and it can be particularly unmanageable in the summer months. I got the keratin treatment, and it came out gorgeous. My curl pattern has turned into loose waves when I wash my hair, and it is very smooth and shiny. It only takes me about 10 minutes to do my hair in the morning, instead of 30. Katlyn has a warm presence that makes you feel relaxed and welcome. She even lets you zone out with a drink and Netflix during the treatment. I will absolutely be back for this treatment in the future, and I’d recommend her to anyone that is looking for more manageable hair. Update: It’s been a long time and I’ve never had a treatment so good, I moved to NC and want to come all the way back to PDX to do it again!

Keratin Treatment experience OF YOUR DREAMS! Katelyn is incredible and her salon is too. The shampoo bowl here is unlike any other - I'm serious when I say that it's comfortable & I think that's unheard of. They really do go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. The salon is so clean and also aesthetically adorable. I am so happy with the results of my treatment and it was truly the best experience I've ever had! I cant wait for my next appointment

Ladies….please pay attention!! If you have dry, damaged hair like I did and always needed to use a flat iron to straighten it out, please, please, please book an appointment with Katlyn!!! This is by far one of the best decisions I have made! My hair is so soft and straight now! I highly recommend Katlyn’s hair treatment. I will definitely get it done again in 3 months. I had a wonderful experience getting my keratin done with Katlyn. When you arrive, it is easy to find street parking. I found some right outside. Upon arrival, Katlyn was super friendly and offered me coffee. I enjoyed chatting with her throughout my entire appointment because she was so personable. If you don’t want to chat the whole time, she is fine with that, too! She offers you headphones and an iPad to watch Netflix, read magazines, etc. After finishing my coffee, she offered me a glass of rose, which was a really nice extra touch. It’s clear that she wants you to not only love your hair, but love the experience, too. With regard to the treatment, she did a wonderful job. She was meticulous throughout. I have now washed my hair two times and can honestly say it’s one of the best keratin treatments that I’ve had. I didn’t even have to use any heat on my hair the past two times because my hair dried naturally straight and had NO frizz. I’ve been searching for a keratin person in Portland for a while and will definitely be going back over and over again!

So here it is… I had been waiting for last 2 years in search of a keratin salon…. Since I moved in to Portland I could never find a salon which does GK hair keratin treatment… then I found “Tame and Glossy”… Katlyn is just awesome 👏 ….I have long hairs… she did it so patiently… I just love it… thanks Great… I would definitely go again…:)
