I’m very satisfied overall. I was a little nervous because my daughter has very curly hair and also I didn’t know how she was going to react since it was her first haircut. Heather was very kind and we had an amazing first experience. Thank you Heather ! 🩷

I cannot say enough about how amazing our experience was! Not only does the haircut look great, but she was so patient with our 16 month old son. He takes quite some time to warm up to people, but she read him PERFECTLY. Instead of being in his face friendly (what most people do, but it freaks him out and then he runs to us) she let him come to her and focused on talking to us. This made him chill and then not care about the haircut. You can tell she has worked with kids for a long time. Her energy was calm and soothing, and she was super friendly. The plane chair was a huge help, and she has a tablet, tv, toys, and snacks if needed. I cannot recommend this place enough. 10/10

We love the new location of Tampa Bay Children's salon. There is a cute play area for the kids, and it's bright and fun. My 3 year old daughter sat so easily for her haircut and she was happy playing games on the ipad. Usually Im pleading with her to sit still!! We of course love the haircut and especially my daughter's bangs were on-point! When we left, my daughter said "Mommy, I had so much fun"!

Always a great experience! I have been taking my 3 year old son since his first haircut and today had my almost 10 month olds first haircut. Heather is wonderful and the cuts are always so cute. Her new location is great (has a spot for any other kiddos in tow to play) and she puts on a show on the tv for the kids etc. so happy to have her as my kids are always so happy to have their hair cut.

Heather always hooks it up with a great haircutting experience for my toddler. We put his favorite show on. She works quickly and efficiently, and we are done before he realizes what is happening! Love this place!

Heather does an absolutely beautiful job cutting my son’s hair. She did his first haircut when he was 18 months old and he wasn’t afraid at all because she was gentle and patient. He’s 3 now and we still keep coming back because whenever we’ve tried to take him elsewhere, the stylists don’t listen to our requests and the haircuts come out awful. Our son’s hair is very straight so it’s easy to make mistakes and other stylists have really struggled to blend it. But it’s obvious that Heather is knowledgable and experienced with all hair types. She takes her time to make his hair look perfect. Our son also loves going there because the salon is cute and comfortable and she makes the experience fun. He loves the TV and chairs but it’s not loud and busy like other salons, which can be overwhelming for kids. We always have a great experience so we will keep coming back!

Ms Heather is great! We live in Riverview and she came recommended to us by multiple friends. It was worth the drive. My sons third hair cut ever ( first by her) looks great! Highly recommend.

Perfect setting for little ones to get their haircuts stress free. Stress free for parents/caregivers as well. Kids are at ease watching a show in a fun automobile as Heather performs her magic! It's a small cozy establishment but the owner books one client at a time. So no need to worry of an overcrowded work space. Great business model and the operation of this location is very professional and organized. I did discover that depending on the day/scheduling of your appointment that the business was closed til about 10 mins before our appt. Therefore we had to wait in car til owner arrived. So doubtful that arriving early will get you in earlier. Also parking is odd as it's outside gate, on the gravel on the side of the road. Those are two tips newbie clients like myself may find helpful.

Very patient, great interaction and keeps kids entertained. Very knowledgeable and added to the ideas of what look the minion had in mind. Added special glitter to make her feel even more funky after her new hair cut. Awesome experience.

ETA: after I posted this review, and before her reply on here she sent me an email saying I was harassing and slandering her by posting a review, both of which I didn’t do. I highly suggest if the owner doesn’t like reviews being written about her behavior and interactions with customers, change it. The review was purely based on the business owner and service provider, not the policy. And as you can see in her response, she’s less than pleasant. Which is weird for someone who has a business catered to children. I had a shocking experience getting berated by the owner after I showed up at the salon late. I was not aware of her 5 minute late policy and even after she explained it and I agreed that it made sense she gave me no opportunity to speak to explain why I was late. I was less than 10 minutes late while 9 months pregnant with a two year old and a 4 year old. I told her she should allow me to explain why I was late and she said she was not my parent and doesn't need to ask why anyone was late. I was baffled and told her as a business owner for parents with small kids she should have some compassion and allow her clients an opportunity to explain why they are late instead of just being locked out. She in turn told me she didn't have to because she books one and a half weeks out so essentially didn't need me as a client. I will never come here again. For someone to act so entitled and not even allow clients an opportunity to speak to explain why they're late and being rude about it, while collecting their full amount in payment is bad behavior in my eyes. Just plain rude.

I made an appointment for my son to get a haircut on his first birthday 05/13, first cut ever. We live 30+ minutes away and of course with small children timing is never perfect. I called to advise 5 minute tardiness. Again this is my first time to this salon, signage is NOT great and I passed it. So when I parked and got out I was there at 10:08, my appointment for 10am. The owner said since we were more than 5 minutes late they would not accommodate and refused to see us. I’ve never experienced anything like this. I explained it was his birthday we drove over 30 minutes to get to her location and she did not care she wouldn’t let us in. I would NOT recommend this place, me and my BLACK family will take our business elsewhere.

Looooved it ❤ Heather was great with my daughter, she has cartoons for them and cute sitting chairs. She offered the cutest certificate since it was her first haircut and I just loved the attention to detail. Now, my daughter's haircut is just perfect, Heather was patient and as difficult as it is to work with kids she was able to get her calmed the whole time. I recommend her 100%

My wife went into labor and we couldn’t make it to my other son’s appointment the next day. We let them know immediately, but we were still charged a cancellation fee. Not worth my time to dispute the charge, but we’ll never do business with people who show this little empathy for others.

We are very happy going there, great service, no waiting and Heather already has her notes available. She knows what my son wants. She is awesome.
