I got my hair done by Rudy, and he did an amazing job! He went above and beyond with what I wanted! It had been many years since I've had someone else do my hair and I'm incredibly glad I chose him to do my hair. I definitely will be coming back!

I had an amazing experience at Tangerine Hair Studio with Vanessa J. She handled my hair with such care and attention to detail, giving me a fantastic haircut that exceeded my expectations. The blowout was the perfect finishing touch. Vanessa J. and the entire staff especially Vivian were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend Tangerine Hair studio to anyone looking for a top-notch haircut.

Marisa has been my hair stylist for years and she is definitely a master of her craft. I always get compliments on my hair and I have referred plenty of friends and family to her, and they have never been disappointed. Also, love the vibe of the salon! Always such a great experience every time I go. Highly recommend!

Tangerine is my go to salon in San Jose! Their new location is super cute, and the free parking is definitely a plus! The coffee shop next door is also great for passing time if I arrive early. The stylists are incredibly talented and detail-oriented, with prices varying based on skill level. I've been coming here for years, so I always recommend booking in advance as well as scheduling a consultation (for major changes), as their stylists tend to be booked out.

What a great salon! The stylists are very talented and I always look and feel great when I leave. Marisa is always prompt and listens to me when I tell her what I want. Sometimes I give her creative license and she never disappoints. I also love that there’s a coffee shop and a beer joint in the same building. I’m hooked!

I have been coming to Tangerine for over 10 years and their knowledge and services have done nothing but improve. The studio is clean, welcoming and comfortable. The staff is friendly and professional and go out of their way to make you feel at home. I am constantly getting compliments on my hair, even weeks and weeks after coloring. Check them out if you haven’t, you won’t be disappointed!

I previously booked a spur of the moment appointment for a haircut at this salon and got booked with Ari and let me just tell you that this was by far the best haircut experience I’ve had! Ari was super attentive to my needs and made me feel super special that day. So it was no surprise that when I decided to add some color dimension to my hair, I went back with her! And, again, she did not disappoint!! 👏 It had been over 10 years since I did anything to my hair and she gave me the all-star treatment! I love my hair and am super happy with the results. I have been getting so many compliments. The salon is such a cute space filled with experienced stylists. They really cater to your needs and take care of you while in the chair. Love this place and love that I found Ari!

My husband and I have been going to Tangerine Hair Studio since 2019. From purple and pink to neutral browns, I have always received amazing results with hair color and highlights. My husband always gets a perfect cut. Marisa has top notch talent and always executes better than I expect. The space itself is always clean and inviting. They have a comfy couch, sweet receptionists, and music that isn’t obnoxious like other salons I have been to. There’s a coffee shop next door that adds the cherry on the top for a self-care day.

I had an amazing experience at Tangerine Hair Studio today! I booked a full highlight service and Vanessa did a beautiful job. She took her time, was very thorough, and I appreciated her attention to detail. The color she created turned out better than I had hoped for and I left feeling really confident. I highly recommend this place. The energy was lively and I watched as every guest left happy. I went in for a bang trim to re-shape my bangs. I have had some pretty....tragic trims in the recent past from other establishments, so I was a bit nervous, especially since I wanted to shape them differently. Turns out, no need to worry with Tangerine! Even for a quick bang trim, my asks were taken seriously and the communication & understanding were lovely. My bangs are exactly, exactly how I hoped they would turn out. Definitely coming back for a full cut and color in the future!

Van is one of the best stylists! I would totally recommend her! Update: Came back to Tangerine and Celeste cut my hair this time. She’s amazing. She listens to what you want and also recommends great hair styles. She’s great 💯 I love my new haircut.

The worst most expensive salon. Worst customer service. The person who booked my appointment booked me for a wrong appointment and then left before I got there and the owner told me to wait I waited for half an hour just for him to tell me he didn’t know I needed hair color and does not have time and he was doing me a favor. Worst customer service ever. Never going back!!

I came to Tangerine and set up an appointment for a professional haircut. For years I have had bad haircuts and I am still inexperienced in how to cut my own. I had hopes to learn and get a decent haircut. When she was about to finish I noticed that she gave me a Trump style type of haircut. Also that it was pretty much the same type of haircut I have been getting over the years. I did let out an f-bomb but not at her; I was extremely disappointed at how it came out. For a grown woman to be so affected by that was shocking to me. Now in retrospect I probably shouldn't have sweared, but given the situation and how I used it I wasn't aiming it at her. I am glad she told me to leave cause I was gonna pay the top dollar haircut for the same style of haircut I have had over the years and she made it look like a Trump style of haircut. I expected more from this place but it seems like they specialized only on female hair, despite when I first walked in the first thing I asked was "do you do male haircuts?". Very disappointed in this place and I won't be coming back. That's my experience with Tangerine Studios.

Rudy gives a great curly cut. Was impressed with the salon and the experience. Got a 15 minute consult, hair washed, cut, diffuse-dryer styled in about an hour for 85$

Decided to visit on a whim to see if they could fix my hair so I can grow it out longer and couldn’t be any happier with the results. Jessica absolutely killed it in every way possible. Although it’s more than I’d typically spend on a men’s haircut, I don’t regret paying a cent and will definitely be back next time.

Got my hair done by Marisa! My appointment was 6 hours and she was attentive to just me the entire time. She is incredibly skilled at what she does. I went from black/brown to golden blonde, and im absolutely loving my new look. Everyone has told me that it looks great. She warned me ahead of time that my hair texture will change, which it did, but she also took care to protect my hair from too much damage. My hair still flows nicely even though it went through a lot of processing. Thank you!

I’m always worried about getting a haircut from a new hairstylist because not everyone has enough experience with Curly hair. But I really needed a haircut before the long weekend and luckily got the same day appointment here. This was my first time at this Salon and I confirmed while booking if the hairstylist will be comfortable working on curly hair. I got my hair washed, cut, styled and diffuse-dried for $85. Jessica did a fantastic job and I’m completely satisfied with my haircut. Would definitely book with her again!

OMG GABRIELLE !!! I was going to a "friend" about an hour away for my hair and needless to say she f******* sucked! After being direct but polite with the "friend" about how I felt about my hair she didn't want to do my hair anymore. I was left with out a stylist. I got referred to Gabrielle through another friend and wow!!! I'm particular about how my hair is colored as it's very blonde almost white and needs the right combination of ash to compliment my skin tone. Gabrielle was so patient and definitely understood the assignment, from first point of contact in our initial conversation I knew that she had amazing knowledge and talents when it comes to hair. I did my hair myself for the longest time prior to going to the other girl I went to before Gabrielle and the reason being is because NOBODY COULD GET MY COLOR CORRECT... UNTIL I MET GABRIELLE!!! Not only is she amazing when it comes to color but she is the kindest most humble stylist I have ever met. Everyone I interacted with at Tangerine was so kind, you can tell that a salon has good ethics when the assistants are kind and have GENUINE smiles on their faces. I also wanted to thank Cyn so much for giving color direction/suggestions, thank you so much for taking the time to do so.

Tara is my girl! She's pretty much the only person I trust to trim my hair and actually keep the length while giving me shape with layers. Most other stylists I've dealt with are scissor-happy and do hack jobs on my mane. Tara is awesome!

I can't even provide a review of the stylists because I didn't get in. I had an appointment at 10 AM for a haircut with a stylist that charged $65. The stylist texted me the night before to come in at 11 AM instead. At 10:15 the day of the appointment, she asked me to come in at 12 PM instead. I had lunch plans and was unavailable. They told me that they were booked for the rest of the day, and the only appointment they had was with a stylist that would charge $85. They were unwilling to come down to $65 which was my original appointment. I know the salon gets booked quick which is why I had made an appointment in advance, which they did not honor. I will not be booking with them again.
