We've just moved to Virginia Beach from San Diego for about a month now. I've been been looking for a stylist and researched several places, read the reviews and was very nervous about picking a salon. I was at an appointment and was very impressed with the Representative's (Megan) hair color and asked her who was her stylist. She said it was Barry and he worked just down the street at Tangled Up Salon and that he was AWESOME and Great with hair color. My husband and I actually went to the salon to meet him and make an appointment. We were greeted and welcomed by very friendly staff. I felt very comfortable. Met Barry and had a consultation and made an appointment for the following day. On the day of my appointment I was greeted and welcomed by a very Friendly staff and met the Owner who was very nice too. Barry was ready for me and he did an Awesome and Phenomenal job with my hair color, haircut, and hairstyle. I'm so very excited and pleased with the outcome!!!! Tangled Up is a very Pleasant and Wonderful Salon! I Highly Recommend them to anyone! Thank you Megan for the recommendation and thank you Barry for the AWESOME JOB!!! And I want to mention that they were very nice to my Baby Girl (doggy) who came by to visit.❤️🥰❤️

Had the best experience at Tangled Up Salon today it was my first time getting my hair done in a salon and I was a little nervous, but that left quickly because they are all so welcoming. My hair turned out AMAZING!!!!

I recently got a haircut at Tangled Up Salon and I couldn't be happier. Nikki was incredibly talented and took the time to understand my vision for the cut. She made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. The shop itself was clean and inviting. I highly recommend Tangled Up Salon to anyone looking for a great haircut.

I have been searching for a new stylist to cut my curly, salt & pepper colored hair who wouldn’t chop it, but work with its texture & color. I am so pleased with the style Barry gave me 😀. This was my first visit to Tangled Up and Barry & Nikki made me feel welcome, at home & listened to. A great overall experience.

Had an amazing experience at the salon, Tanya and Nikki are so friendly and funny to talk to. The quality of service shows in these two. Felt life we knew each other for years by the time I left. My hair feels and looks so healthy!

Nikki is fantastic! I finally learned what a proper curly haircut could be. I spent years straightening my hair to make it halfway manageable and now I don’t have to anymore. I’ve had several haircuts here now and every time I’m still surprised by how bouncy my curls become. Never going anywhere else!

I went to Barry at the salon for a transformative haircut. He was cutting my before shoulder length hair into a pixie. Tall order, and Barry took it on with expertise and enthusiasm. He was recommended to me by another stylist; it was his first time cutting my hair. I highly recommend him and the salon itself. Great vibes, fun people.

I just had my haircut here and Barry is my stylist. He is awesome!i showed him a picture of the style i wanted and he delivered. I feel cute and pretty after my haircut thanks to Barry. The salon is very clean and the employees are friendly. Will definitely come back and this will be my go to hair salon♥️

My hair was a hot mess and Barry toned down my brassy red and added some highlights all without drying or damaging my hair! My hair looks amazing! I will be back as a regular. The prices were on point for the results I got. Excellent salon!!!

After using the same hair stylist in Richmond for ten years, I was hesitant to switch salons after a job change that led me to VA Beach. From the second I walked in Nikki (owner) greeted me with welcoming conversation and her beautiful smile. Barry my stylist was so knowledgeable. I asked for his recommendation on cut, color, glazing, etc. We came up with a plan that ended up exceeding all my expectations. I was truly blown away by the results. Not kidding….he literally made me look 10+ years younger in one evening. It’s the best money I’ve spent in a long time!!! I can’t say enough about this salon. I give them an A+++ on the whole experience. I’ve already set my next appointment . I highly recommend!

Amazing! So grateful to have found such a wonderful place. My experience was so professional and yet personal. I will never have to look for another hair professional again! 🤩🤩Tanya really made me feel good and took the time to ensure I felt seen, and heard. I have the best haircut I have had in years!! 10/10 recommend- both the establishment and Tanya. The owner also guided me in the right direction for which stylist would be best to meet my hair goals. This place has your back! Go!!

I finally got the curly haircut of my dreams! Anyone with curly hair knows that it can be really hard to get the look you want. Nikki worked her magic in my first haircut, and each cut since then has only gotten better. She is honest about the process and really listens to her clients. Anyone looking for a curl specialist needs to make an appointment with Nikki!

I got my hair done for the first time by Rae at tangled up. As somebody who has never died their hair I was very nervous about getting it’s colored but Rea herself did an amazing job! She also fixed my haircut by adding fabulous face framing layers that I absolutely love. I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience. I definitely would recommend going there for any type of hair service’s and asking for Rae!!! The inside of the salon is also very welcoming and cozy (and very clean) as well as all the staff were very nice and friendly! I wish I could give a 100 ⭐️.

I went and had my haircut at tangled up. Spent 100$ It was uneven, so I went back and kindly asked to have it evened up. 10$ tip. Go home it's worse than ever. Go back he clearly sees he left out a big chunk of hair. He cuts it again. 5$ tip. I went home and I've never seen such a bad haircut. I called the owner to ask if she would fix it. But she said she would have to charge me another 77$. So I told her I didn't think I should have to pay again. So she said she would call me back, and I never received a call back. I went to someone else who cut my hair again and took pic's of the mess she saw. I'll add those in a min. Needless to say, my hair is so short now. And still not the style I wanted. But to charge 77$ plus tip and when not right wants another 77$ is not very good business practice. She was too busy to take care of a client. They tell me it is bc she has to do paperwork and jobs to keep the salon open. In my opinion, she should lock up and never open again. I'm mad. Yes, I am! She was not very nice and refused to fix my hair. I'm sorry, Barry, but you did not do a good job. I think you can see how bad of a job you did. 3 times you so-called, tried to fix it, and just got worse and worse. Niki, the owner, was NO help at all. I still can't believe how much I was charged for a haircut I could have done better myself. It's sad when people have no desire to do a good job just bc of laziness.

Most professional group of artists I have ever met. Every moment I was in there - I was educated and cared for. Every question I had was answered thoroughly and the customer service was incredible. I actually was a last min appointment as well which is rare because I have previously visited this business before. 10/10 would recommend. The best example of where I want to spend my money. Thanks guys!

This is the best salon in VB. They are professional and so kind. The stylists are wonderful and skilled. They are well educated on products and styles, and only sell the best products. You won't be disappointed!

Was with my grandson and his Mom yesterday to see a wonderful friend Tanya. True to her form, she did a terrific job in styling his hair. He told me he wants to be a repeat customer. Even his mom will be seeing Tanya later this month. Afterwards, it is always great to have a delicious Milkshake or Malt next door at The Yard
