I had been dealing with a pretty severe version of cervical radiculopathy. I recently took my son to International Plaza to shop and spotted Tao Sanctuary. I like that they had options for incremental massage chair options. So I opted for the 20 minute chair massage which basically focuses on neck, shoulder, and back. Man it was worth it! I prefer a heavier hand and the gentleman whose name escapes me did not disappoint. After the 20 minutes I had that woozy feeling indicating a lot of toxins had been released. They kindly gave me a bottle of complimentary water. And I was on my way feeling a little better. About a week later I returned for another session. Well worth it.

Absolute rip off. They charged me full price for half of the service and then bullied me into giving a tip. I asked for their 40 minute foot reflexology. In the description it lists a sea salt foot soak, hot stones and head, neck and back massage. I was given a lousy foot rub for 35 minutes and then rushed a hot stone massage for the remainder. When it came time to pay, I made it a point to mention I didn’t receive the head neck and back massage. The massage therapist said “sorry, next time” what?? there will definitely not be a next time! I would question the legitimacy of this business. They do not even make you sign any type of waiver and the massage did not feel like it was given from a licensed professional.

Out of the 20 years of getting massages it was by far the worst I’ve ever had. I caught him on his phone at least two times during my massage so I should’ve just gotten up and walked away then. He worked on the same area over and over and over and over while sitting on the bed with me because he was lazy and just using his elbow so he could read his phone with the other hand. Then he proceeded to massage my hip bone, which did nothing but irritate me. I don’t need my bones massaged just my muscles. I would not recommend this place at all

We needed a last-minute massage, and Tao Sanctuary was the only place that could fit us in. We opted for a 90-minute couples massage, and given the price, we figured we'd give it a shot. Wow, were we impressed! It turned out to be one of the best massages I've ever had. My neck pain was significantly reduced, and I felt completely relaxed. Don’t let the fact that it’s located in a mall fool you—it's quiet, peaceful, and incredibly soothing inside. The staff were highly skilled and friendly. Highly recommend!

Extremely disappointed. Went 6/1 for 2 adults and a 5tr old. Told us 30mins even though there was no one in there. No big deal. Waited and came back. Totally disorganized, lack of ablility to communicate with us. My guest was really disappointed throughout the massage. She actually tried to end it early. We explained she did not like his technique. They attempted to make that right but inability to communicate made it all disappointing. It was lit of money for mediocre massage that wasn’t what we asked for.

Visited the Tao for a quick neck massage while doing some shopping yesterday and completely impressed!! I will be a regular here for sure. I have a neck and shoulder situation that requires deep deep tissue and lovely team member that worked on me was extraordinary. Found all the hot knots and felt like new. 👍👍

Super unprofessional. Stopped by from out of town to get a couples massage with my guy. The man doing my massage got SIX phone calls, and answered each one, stopping my massage every time or just “one handing” it. Then got up 3-4 times to go to the front to help customers in the middle of my massage. I left more stressed than I came in. Did not offer to compensate for the lost time and still charged the same price and did not acknowledge or apologize how disruptive that was for my experience. Worst part of my trip to Tampa thus far. Waste of $.

Genuine good massage, but bait and switch dishonesty. I'd been here a few times before and had good massages by a woman named Amy. Tonight I was greeted and escorted to my room by a gracious good vibes woman. I usually enjoy the relaxing energy and TLC of treating myself to a massage. But this massage felt very matter of fact, with no warmth or care. When I spoke out that something was sore, there was no answer. My intuition felt that this might be a man working on me and he's trying to hide that fact. When I turned over for the front side, the gracious warm, caring woman chatted with me. I read below where someone else remarked on therapist change. They are the real deal in terms of giving genuine relief giving.therapeutic massage, but you might want to inquire abou this beforehand. The woman at the front admitted that there had been a man working on me until l it came time to flip over.

Terrible customer service ! since the moment I get there they are un organized while I called twice before hand , they acted as if me coming in was a trouble to them sucking there teeth and speak with attitude, I already showed the lady my voucher before getting the massage and before leaving as I’m saying bye all 3 employees stop me saying I didn’t pay and calling the manager harassing me as I show my confirmation again . I let him take a picture and said I’m leaving I paid and the bald man rudely shouted come back I take picture. Seemed like they were RACIAlLLY Profiling me . I see why it’s empty

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING 90-minute, full body massage. This is the 4th visit to TAO Sanctuary at the International Mall. I have had a few different massage therapists work on me and each one of them was an expert in their craft. I leave each time wishing I could do this more often because of how great my body feels afterwards. I hope others read this review and ignore the other reviews knocking this great service TAO Sanctuary provides. If I was having a bad massage, I would not hesitate to speak to the massage therapist working on me at that moment and let them know during the massage rather than going home and writing a bad review. During each visit, I was asked if there was a certain area of focus I needed and during each massage they asked if things were going well. The person complaining about the curtains being left open is ridiculous.....tell them to close them if they were open. I know this wasn't the case because they close the curtains behind them. Go back to your old massage place if things were so bad here. ONCE AGAIN, EXCELLENT MASSAGE!!!!!! THANK YOU BEN for the work you do and for making my aches and pains disappear! I look forward to my next massage from any of the staff at this location.

Too bad I have no option to choose ZERO stars. This place is unprofessional. After my massage session started the therapist would leave going back and forth to the reception desk and she brought the phone with her and even got on the phone to talk with someone while she was massaging me. I also noticed the curtain was open while my back was exposed. I was uncomfortable so I told her I couldn't relax and to kindly stop the massage. However, she insisted to complete the 50 min and closed the curtain, stopped going out to the front desk, and tried to make up for it. It was way to late... and disrespectful. I have never asked a therapist to stop a massage. This was the WORST!! I will never go back.
