If you have curls or want them, trust me this is where you want to go. I am a hard customer to please and often jump from salon to salon until I find one I like. This salon here is perfect for me. Nydia is one on one. She listens to what you want and she delivers it. She also was able to identify why my curls were weighed down so much. It was my haircut. Nydis did a layered cut for me and also a perm. It was beautiful. I left feeling like the goddess, Aphrodite. I felt like a new woman! Trust me, you won't regret this salon. Nydia is the best.

Nydia did an amazing job with my hair. I don't do my hair often, so I didn't know what color or cut would be best, but she did. She gave me a cut and beautiful color, and it turned out to be exactly what I wanted. She was also extremely caring, genuine, friendly, and I could tell she really cared giving me a look that I was happy with. I will definitely go back!

Nydia is fantastic. Being half white half Native American it is very difficult for someone to match my hair color or understand the limitations my hair can withstand from harsh color treatments. She is super nice, quick and knows how to treat colored hair to match the consumers wishes and character! Highly recommend. Looking forward to being a loyal customer!!👌

Nydia Grijalva has been my hair stylist for at least 15 years, and for a good reason. I have the kind of naturally wavy hair that sometimes curls with a mind of its own if I let it dry on its own, which I know is challenging to cut, but I always love what she does. She is a master of coloring, and I get the most compliments on my color wherever I go, even from other hair stylists. She's kind and cares about her clients and loves what she does and it shows. I would highly recommend her.

Quite serendipitously I discovered Nydia twenty years ago while searching for a new hairstylist. After repeated highlighting, my once brown and now graying hair had become so blonde that the contrast between the two colors was virtually gone. None of the hairdressers I met seemed to understand my quandary- how to color my gray roots and also regain, then maintain, the contrast between my highlights and my original “natural” brown shade. On a whim I elected to check out Mitchell’s Salon in The Streets at Southpoint Mall where I found Nydia, explained my dilemma, and proceeded to receive, not only the needed color correction, but also a wonderful haircut. Over the years I have followed Nydia as she moved, first to another established group salon, and then embarked on her own venture, Textures. When people inquire why I drive 35 minutes from Chapel Hill to Morrisville “just” to get my hair done, I explain that having had the good fortune to find an Olympic stature stylist, I am happy to make the commute. To say that Nydia is a superior hairstylist is an understatement. She can do everything- basic color, color correction, highlighting and lowlighting, Brazilian Blowout treatment, and haircuts for men and women. Without fail, after a visit to Nydia I always enjoy numerous compliments about my haircolor and style, and I always note that I am indebted to a gifted artist. Beyond her diverse creative talents, Nydia is a smart, funny, positive, generous woman, and spending time in her company is a joy. She listens to my hair concerns, recommends as needed, and never fails to deliver a wonderful result. I could not recommend her talents and her person more highly!

I really love this place. My hair stylist Jamie is awesome. She understands my hair and style it accordingly. The best part it even if I ask her to do some hairstyle which I think will look good on me she suggests nicer styles and also makes me understand what would be the cons of some styles which look good only in magazines. I am not going to change this place ever.

If you need color or even just a cut, go see Jamie!!! She does my hair perfectly every time! Today she pulled color through and added reddish highlights. It looks amazing!!! She’s also very enjoyable to talk to! Highly recommend!!!

I’ve been going to Nydia Grijalva for the past 6 years! I’m very picky when it comes stylists and she knows exactly what to do to make my hair feel and look great. She’s also the only person I would ever let cut my hair. She does my daughter who has super curly hair (I do too) and is a master at what she does. She responds to texts in a timely manner and I love how easy it is to make appointments with her. Her prices are very reasonable too!

Brittany is simply amazing. She listens to what you want and executes perfectly every time, I have been going to her for almost 10 years and always feel amazing when I leave her salon. She has given me haircuts, highlights, Brazilian blowouts, and even did my hair for my wedding, everything she does is flawless, and she's also one of the sweetest people I know.
