Finding a new hair stylist is always a daunting task but especially when it’s just before your father’s funeral. I’ve spent the last 2 months going to the hospital and caring for myself (and especially my hair) has been been put on the back burner. I showed up in a broken state and Thadra made my hair look fantastic and was so kind to me. We had a wonderful conversation during my visit that renewed my hope in the future. I have found my new hair stylist and a new friend!

Emily was amazing, she knew how to take care of my hair texture and she knew the exact color I wanted . She gave me the looked I wanted and the trim looked so good .she was so kind, we had great conversations. I felt comfortable with her and I will definitely be coming back so thank you Emily 🫶🏽.

I had an appointment scheduled for August 15 with the promotion of a partial highlight and cut for $100. I already had grown balayage and just wanted some money pieces in the front and a trim. Emily told me the day that it would actually be $145 since I have balayage, no big deal but I just wanted money pieces and tone (not full balayage but whatever.) I think a true consultation was lackluster and as soon as she got done applying the bleach, I knew it was a lot. While I was getting my hair washed, Emily asked another stylist to come over and check. I knew it was probably iffy. After she got done drying my hair, I realized it was extremely brassy and bright, and my balayage was gone. I still paid and tipped for the service and was trying to give the benefit of the doubt that maybe I just need to wash and style it myself. Not even a couple hours later, I reached out to the owner and explained that I didn’t like it. It was a complete 180 from previous style and nothing I wanted. Emily and I agreed to reach out the next day and try to tone it down. Which I appreciate her reaching out so quick. At that appointment, while I was there, she called the manager and asked if I should be charged for today, that made me feel awkward and on edge, I paid and tipped yesterday! After she added some blue shampoo to my hair, my hair turned blue. Not even just blue, it looked like a melted m&m McFlurry. She told me to hang tight for a bit and just see if the color washes out, so I did. To be fair, the toner did wash out, but I was left with a huge line of brown to brassy blonde. The balayage that I had previously loved was gone. I told her immediately that I didn’t love this and she agreed to have me come back. NOTHING WAS EVER MENTIONED ABOUT ME HAVING TO PAY TO FIX THE HAIR I ALREADY PAID FOR. She added dimension pieces, to the all blonde hair that I never asked for. She never mentioned anything about me having to pay, in fact at the last appointment she told me if I come back within the next few weeks I would not be charged at all. I’m a pretty understanding person, and I do know that sometimes with chemicals, you never know, but if I left with blue hair, why should I have to pay to get that fixed? I left with brassy hair, should I have to pay to get that fixed? It doesn’t make sense. At the end of the appointment where she did the dimension, she brought me over to the checkout area and was like “oh it’s $90” and I’m thinking for what?! I already paid for the service. Maybe I should have been more assertive, but her and I were the only ones in the building and what is the client supposed to do? She offered me a 20% discount for being blindsided. I’m at a lost what to do. I don’t like my hair, I paid over $250 for something I don’t even like or wanted.

5/5 stars! Emily was so sweet and definitely knew what she was doing. I went to a different salon prior and just wasn’t happy with what I was given. I walked into the salon expecting to get closer to what I wanted, but my hair turned out even better than I imagined . Definitely will be going back ❤️ Thanks so much Emily!!

I'm always nervous to go to new stylists because I'm often disappointed by the results, but I had my hair cut and colored by Emily and she also styled it. The result was beautiful, I don't remember ever being more pleased with a cut. I will be returning and I definitely recommend her. The salon itself was comfortable, clean, and quiet. It was a relaxing atmosphere.

Emily cut and styled mine and my grandma's hair and we absolutely love it!! We will definitely be returning. I've found my permanent stylist!! It was affordable too.

Emily did so good! She bleached and then dyed my hair the same dark red I was asking for and even included a mini trim for my bangs. She also offered to curl and/or style my hair once finished. 100/10 recommend!

I just wanted to really thank you Thadra for my cut and color today…you did such a great job I feel like me just refreshed! Which is the feeling I always want but have rarely ever gotten out of a salon…you are great at your craft and I only wish I had found you sooner. Aylanna was wonderful! This is by far the best salon I’ve been to. She did an incredible job cutting my curly hair and adding layers that are very natural and flattering. Will definitely be coming here again!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I booked an appointment with Thadra to have extensions removed bc the quality was just not what I was expecting with my install from Vegas. Thadra asked if I wanted her to replace them as she had my color in stock (amazing! Bc no one does that!) and I was able to set up a payment plan (super easily may I add) so that I wasn't out of pocket unexpectedly. I've never had extensions installed and my head not hurt during or afterwards. With Thadra, no pulling or pain! I've had my extensions done in Vegas and in Denver done by two great girls, but Thadra is 100% the best one yet. I feel so lucky to have met her and have had this hair experience with her. 100000% suggest you check her out if you're looking into getting quality extensions or if your extensions need some love. She is super knowledgeable! Appreciate you beyond words Thadra!

Thadra’s Hair Café is such a cute little salon. When I met Thadra for the first time, it was for a consultation. She is just so friendly and so sweet and made me feel so comfortable with her ideas for my hair. She did absolutely ~beyond words~ amazing work on my hair! She is a true artist and very passionate about her work and it really shows. Our talks were really fun and we got the chance to learn about each other while she worked magic on my hair. I am ~beyond words~ so happy to have found this little place. Thank you, Thadra, for making me feel so beautiful ❤ Jessica and Aylanna are also so welcoming and friendly! I had made an appointment for today. I explained to the lady over the phone what I wanted. ( color, highlights, and cut). I showed the stylist a photo to she if she could do the color that the girl had. She said yes. As she began I reiterated what I wanted done to make sure we were on the same page. She cut my hair length to my under arm and proceeds to start on the high lights. She didn't put color in my hair. She said the highlights would cover my greys.When all said and done the the highlights are not like in the pic, I can still see my grey hair, and I asked to to keep the length of my hair but do layers. Now my hair length is to the top of my shoulders. I told her that the highlights was not like in the picture. Very upset! I still got charged full price even though she didn't do my hair like i wanted.. Then she wants me to come back so she can fix it. IM HAVING SECOND THOUGHTS!!!!

After two visits to Thadra's Hair Cafe, I sadly do not think that I will be returning. The product line that is used in this salon (L'anza) caused me to have an allergic reaction leaving me with a partially scabbed scalp and mysterious raised lumps around my nape area. I initially mentioned something to my stylist on my most recent visit as I've not experienced large flakey dry patches on my scalp prior to visiting the salon and it was dismissed as a result of the cooler weather. The itching/burning sensation commenced and I decided to visit urgent care along with researching the product formula. After reaching out to my stylist to inform her of the adverse reaction, I was very disappointed in the lack of empathy or willingness to discuss how we can move forward. The stylist informed that the owner never had never heard of any clients having similar experiences to mine, however, with a quick Google search you will find NUMEROUS reviews similar to mine where this product line (specifically the White Tea shampoo) caused extremely dry scalp issues.

Went in to get a silk press. Aylanna was quick. She got me in and out. None of that 3-4 people getting their hair done at the same time. I was able to make a same day appointment and she had my hair looking flawless. I will be back.
