I’ve been coming to Thai Sabai in Westwood since 2014—over 10 years now. Back when they were located further down Westwood, this place was absolutely amazing. It used to be my go-to massage spot in Los Angeles, and I recommended it to everyone I knew. However, my recent visit was disappointing, to say the least. The massage didn’t feel like a traditional Thai massage—there was no stretching involved, and the whole experience felt rushed. On top of that, it was freezing inside the building, and the masseuse’s hands were also cold, which made it hard to relax. It saddens me to see how much the quality has declined because this used to be my favorite spot. I even drove all the way from Calabasas for this massage, only to regret not going to a more local place where I know I would have had a better experience. It’s heartbreaking to see such a beloved spot go downhill. 😩

If you truly want a deep tissue massage, this is the place for you. They step on your back, which is typical for a thai massage. They also use their hands and elbows to get out knots. If you prefer a more delicate massage place then perhaps this may not be the best for you. I haven’t had a bad masseuse here, and I have been here many times over the past year. April really focuses on the areas that you have issues with. Never regretted getting a session from her! Gaam is also great!

It was absolutely terrible. I left feeling worse than when I came in. Ann proceeded to step on my back for 15 minutes until i asked her to stop. She insisted that was a Thai massage. I’ve had Thai massages in Thailand. Walking on the back usually comes at the end and is for a couple of minutes. She said “let’s do Swedish” and proceeded to dig her elbows into my back and ask me to relax my muscles. It was absolutely awful. She failed to thoroughly massage most of my body, and instead focus on digging her elbows and two fingers into my body parts. She kept asking me to relax and refused to put any effort into technique. I couldn’t wait to leave. I still left a tip, but I would never return. Yet another bad massage parlor in LA.

Get past the door in this simple old small multi office building into a small massage parlor with simple yet spotless treatment rooms. My massage with Tina was excellent. I had a specific shoulder/neck problem and she really focused on it during my 75minute full body massage. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

Hands down! This is the best massage I had. Definitely a hidden gem in the neighborhood. As far as I can tell, this is authentic Thai massage. My muscles are really tight from workout but not so much stretching. The lady who did this massaging for me used lots of power to release the knots. I really liked it. The process was not painful at all and I felt so relaxing afterwards. I’ll come back for sure. Update in Dec 22: I came back for massaging to relieve my muscle pain from workout. It’s very helpful. I felt much more relaxed and less painful the next day. Definitely my fav spot for massaging.

I wanted to love this place. I drove our 30 mins to get here with my wife. I can only describe my massage as an hour long oil rub. At no point in my massage did I have the feeling of "oo that hits the spot". The masseuse seemed to just be getting through some set of motions. Not what I expected for $70++. I'm super displeased and left in a terrible mood. I did not try to explain to the masseuse what I wanted because her english was just not great, but that's my fault too. I just lay there hoping it would get better but it never did. The 2 star is for my wife, who rated her massage 4/5. Mine was close to a 0.5/5 so we average out to a 2 star. Maybe I got unlucky.

absolutely amazing massage!! i’ve been a massage therapist for 20 years and am rarely blown away by the massages i get. Tina was soo good! Very intuitive and phenomenal touch! i’m always skeptical of reviews and after experiencing the wonderful and kind staff it’s clear these reviews are all legit…(Gaam who was at the front desk, was so welcoming and friendly… is also therapist even came in an helped get ride of a foot cramp i had in the beginning of the massage! honestly just so blown away by the experience and the atmosphere at this place. Jeff was behind the front desk who was also super kind! Clean and awesome vibe in this place. throughout my years as a massage therapist i’m always trying new spots and am always disappointed…finally i found my spot!! client for life for sure!

Been a regular customer for almost 10 years. Perfect balance of stretching, deep tissue, etc. I personally like very strong massage and they always deliver. Couldn't recommend more strongly.

I love this place! Gaam and Tina are amazing! I appreciate strong deep tissue massages, and they definitely deliver. I should be exercising more often than I am, but until then, they get all my knots out during a 1.5 or 2 hr session. It's extremely clean, and the studio is very serene. They're all wearing masks and provide you with a clean top and bottom to change into. Call to book at least a day or two before, and you'll be set with any massage therapist there! So glad I found this awesome place near me after moving from NYC. Pricing is great, and they have a slight cash discount. Tip well and over 20% in cash! They work really hard and deserve it 😊 There are so many Thai massage places, but this is truly such a hidden gem!

Came in with a lot of built up scar tissue on my hamstring and got exactly what I was looking for. I could tell this place was legit because the masseuse wad attentive to my needs, applied proper firmness coupled with symmetry and cared not only around the trouble spot, but the muscles around it. I will be back!
