Olivia is incredible!!! She spent so much time making my curls look perfect and walking me through the styling process step-by-step so I can recreate it at home. So impressed by her patience and attention to detail!

Hanna is magical. Your skin looks younger and more vibrant after every treatment. Her ability to melt away any tension you carry in your face, jaw, shoulders etc is incredible. She’s also just great people - highly recommend.

I got a great haircut from KK at the 1994. KK listened to what I wanted, explained everything she did, and I left with curls that were healthier and bouncier than they’ve been in years. The salon is very peaceful and the whole appointment was relaxing - not the stressful haircut experience that I’d gotten used to from previous haircuts!

Olivia is amazing! Both me and my teenage daughter have gotten our haircut from her and it was the best salon experience ever. She really listened and took time to think about what would be best for our hair types. (My daughter’s hair is curly and thick and mine is wavy and thin) She also helped us with styling techniques - both “all out” styling methods and quick/low maintenance methods too. Olivia is also super nice - I can’t say enough good things about her! The salon is also very welcoming and beautiful (the plants are gorgeous). So if you love a beautiful atmosphere, kind helpful people, and a great haircut come here!

This was the best haircut experience I’ve had! The salon was gorgeous and very clean, I got a curly cut done by KK and my expectations were met and exceeded. KK was very skilled, knowledgeable, and paid great attention to detail. This was my first time getting my hair done where I didn’t feel like my hair type was a challenge or a nuisance to the stylist, it was also very affordable compared to stylists I’ve been to in the past. Cannot recommend this place enough!!!

Amazing Facial Experience! I recently went to Salon 1994 for a facial, and it was a fantastic experience! My esthetician, Kalani, was incredible. She has just the right hand pressure, took the time to educate me about the products she was using, and made the entire session super relaxing. I’ll definitely be coming back to her for future facials! 🥰😍 The salon itself is super cute, with lots of natural light and beautiful, healthy plants that give it such a calming vibe. Parking is all street parking, but I was able to find a free spot easily right by the salon. Highly recommend anyone looking for a great facial to book an appointment with Kalani!

My first time in I was in for a long overdue haircut and I got scheduled with KK. I have short curly hair that got to that awkward length you know? Anywho, it was priced at $70 so I assumed it would be a dry cut only for that price. But no - I got the full treatment! Dry cut, shampoo, condition, AMAZING head massage, wet cut, style, and a trim and shape up once it was fully dry. KK was absolutely incredible, and I can tell she is so OCD about her cuts and takes the time to listen and do every little detail to get you the perfect cut and shape. She also used a lot of techniques I’ve never seen another stylist use, and I love how it turned out. The only place I will go for my curly hair. BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE! so this over due cut was delayed so long because I started my own business back in the spring, and a huge family emergency turned my world upside down and I have had zero time for ANY self care in months. I’m lucky if I shower. After the amazing cut with KK (and the warmth in conversation and care really went far too, thank you), I scheduled a facial with Kilani. The only day I had some available time was also in the middle of me moving and doing huge renovations ect and I was so tired and drained.. I almost cancelled. First off, Kilani just has that warm welcome and smile that instantly made me feel like I knew her, and any anxiety or stress I had running through my head just disappeared. I told her kind of what I had going on with my neglected skin due to my current work/family situation (my skins been so bad lately). She was so kind and caring, I knew I was in good hands. I laid down in the most comfortable bed she had set up, she ran me through what she would be doing, I told her I may accidentally fall asleep (and it was 2PM lol) and she said I should use this time to rest. Once the facial started she didn’t try to sell me on products or make small talk - she took care of not just my skin, but me. I woke up to absolutely glowing skin and my skin has actually been on the up and up since then. This is your reminder that self care is SO important, so treat yourself and go to the 1994 Salon for any of your needs. You’re in good hands there ♥️

Went here today for my facial model appointment with Kalani and had a great experience! Very cool and friendly atmosphere and I left feeling refreshed and confident. I would definitely book with Kalani again!

Today was my first time seeing Ivy at The 1994 and I had such a fantastic experience! I'll describe the things I loved: 1) Ivy is so warm and welcoming! She is a pleasure to talk to and is also okay with silence, which I love. When I left, I felt very valued as a customer (even as a brand new one!). 2) She KNEW my hair. I have had many experiences (even at curly salons) where I feel like I was given a cookie-cutter haircut that didn't flatter my features or the texture of my hair. I could tell that Ivy had a really great understanding of my hair's texture (fine), the way that it would curl, and some of the challenges that I was experiencing. 3) You can tell she really loves the education part of her job! As a first time client, Ivy explained the "whys" behind what she was doing. She checked in consistently to make sure things were making sense and that her advice would match my routine. I'm a low-maintenance gal and I really felt like Ivy gave me steps that would be easy and achievable. 4) She had a purpose for using specific products, explained why, and didn't try to pressure sell them to me. I ended up buying the products because I loved the end result; but I didn't feel compelled to buy them through any kind of sales tactics (which I've experienced many times before). When I asked about products she stressed that I could use my own products at home (if I had ones I liked) for the routine she taught me. I love that! Usually when I leave hair appointments, I can't wait to wash my hair and style it myself; it never feels like "me." This is one of the first times that I can't wait to see how long my curls last with Ivy's cut & style and I know that I'll be able to replicate this magic. Thank you, Ivy! I can't wait to come back.

I had the best possible experience at The 1994 Salon with KK! My hair texture has completely changed after two kids and I have no idea how to care for or style my new curly hair. KK helped me decide on a cut, then walked me through all of the ways I can care for and style my hair. She helped me try out the techniques and ask lots of questions. I was blown away by the way my curls popped with a little know-how and curly hair products! I feel like a whole new person!

I've been getting my hair cut by Misa for years, and when she moved to The 1994, I followed. One of the nicest people I've ever met and always does an amazing job. I always come out looking like a completely different person. Highly highly recommended!

KK is the best! I haven’t gotten my hair cut in Seattle for over a year due to 2 previous hair cuts that left me with a granny bob. I explained to KK that I was anxious about this one as well and she made sure I felt comfortable and talked me through the entire appointment. She even taught me some of the tricks she used to make my hair feel so nice and bouncy! Love love love this salon. Thank you KK!!

I always feel so comfortable and relaxed coming here, I've been going to Hanna for a few years now for sugaring services and she never disappoints. Her positive energy is contagious and always makes sure the environment is comfortable for her clients. I am constantly amazed by the beauty of her new salon! The esthetician room is so cozy and aesthetic. I love that their hair services accommodate curly hair as well, this is such a rare find and I am eager to try a curly cut and style!

Ivy at the 1994 Salon and Spa is an AMAZING CURL WIZARD!! Not only does she give you the cut you want, she also educates you on how to care and style your curl pattern in order for the cut to look perfect almost every day! I have never felt more comfortable and confident with my hair since after leaving her salon! If you got questions as a curly girl, definitely reach out, get an appointment with her or anyone on the curly house staff here and they will give you the best! Hanna is the QUEEN of brows! She has helped me rehabilitate my traumatized-from-the-early-2000s skinny brows and now I have full, beautifully shaped, and perfectly tinted brows. She knows exactly what I need and I trust her fully. The whole space is just a dream— beautifully designed, lots of light, amazing plants everywhere, and the cutest pups come out to greet you. Hanna and Ivy have clearly put a ton of thought into the space and into making sure their clients feel comfortable, safe, heard, and happy. Cannot recommend enough!

Hannah gave me a lash lift and tint that turned out beautifully. What I really want to review though is her kindness and care. I was having a lot of anxiety the day of my service, but her demeanor was so easy it helped me feel better. When I started to have an anxiety attack during the service, she gave me a face massage which was heavenly AND super helpful. I calmed way down and we were able to complete the visit. When I have this done in the future it will be with Hannah because it’s the only way I will feel comfortable. Thank you, Hannah!

I have gone to Hanna for many years for facials I recently had the pleasure of seeing Hanna at her newly opened business. Hanna's friendly and welcoming. Her facials are relaxing and comfortable experience. Hanna recommended a reconstructive facial massage, and I was thoroughly impressed with the results. I noticed the difference in my skin immediately after. The following day, when applying makeup, I was surprised by how much smoother and healthier my skin looked. I’ve been going to Hanna for facials for over a year now and my skin looks better than ever. I have very sensitive skin that’s prone to redness and she adjusts each treatment to address my skin needs. The facials are also so relaxing! I also recently got a lash lift and tint with Shelby and she was so sweet and did an amazing job to make my lashes look full and beautiful!
